Shawna was awesome with our very big eight month old GSD. She sent lots of videos and pictures and kept me updated on our pups visit with her. Shawna has a nice calm present with the dogs and was very accommodating to my schedule.

Kristy was amazing!! My times got all wonky and I dropped him off and picked him up a little later than we originally planned, and she was SO kind about it! Communicated very quickly and did wonderfully with Banjo. He came home nice and wore out from all the playing he did with Kristy:)

Callie had a great day at Wendy’s. She was awesome about sending updates throughout the day. We knew Callie was in good hands. She got lots of walks and belly rubs. We would definitely book with Wendy again. Thank you, Wendy, for giving us peace of mind and for giving our dog such a happy, loving place to spend the day.

Megan was amazing with Benji! She really cared and Benji warmed up to her right away. While we were gone, she kept us updated with check-ins and photos. It was clear that Benji had a great time. He was happy, relaxed, and was well cared for by Megan and her family. She is reliable, kind, and genuinely great with dogs. I’d definitely recommend Megan to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to watch their pup!

About: I am a licensed veterinary technician so I am professionally trained to know how to take care of your animals especially if there is an emergency! I currently work full time at Lincoln Memorial University. I can only do weekends because of my schedule, but I can also see what I can do to help during the week! I do not have a fenced in yard. My dogs have been trained to stay in the yard. I have 3 dogs, they are younger and very playful. I also have 3 cats. Even though I do not have a fence, I can offer walks in the yard or walking up and down the road and put them on the leash while they use the bathroom. I have a whole room dedicated for the animals where they can stay unless they are kept uncaged then they can have free roam of the house.

About: I’ve had a pup my entire life, at one point my wife and I had 4 doggies! I have experience with dogs of all stages of life! We live an active lifestyle, but also love to cuddle at night! In the Summer I only work a few hours a day. My wife works from home a couple days a week as well! Your pup would only be alone a couple hours max. I have a large fenced back yard! We try to keep to your pups normal routine. They can either be crated or free roaming depending on your preference when I go run errands. I have a doggie door for my pup to go in and out throughout the day.

Jan was able to watch Maddie for doggie daycare on short notice. She has a great set up for yard access and also being able to hang out in the cool of the A/C on a comfy couch. It made my day with my family so much better knowing she was being looked after and had Jan’s company while being in a different environment. I would definitely recommend her and I would leave Maddie in her care again if I needed to.

About: Hi! I’m Melissa (with Melissa's Pet & Home Care), a lifelong pet lover with experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, personalities, and needs. But more than that- I know how important it is that you have a reliable, caring sitter for your fur babies & home while you're away. I previously cared for my own 90-lb dog who had allergies, chronic ear infections, high anxiety, and later bone cancer, so I’m very familiar with special-needs care, medications, and helping pets feel safe and comforted through anything. I’m patient with anxious or sensitive pets, and I understand how much they miss their humans when you’re away. <3 I’m happy to take active pups on long runs, go for slow sniff walks, or just offer cuddles and company. I’m also comfortable handling dogs that pull or never quite figured out leash manners. I’m not a trainer, but I can keep them safe and in hand. :) Just tell me what your pet needs, and I’ll follow their routine to keep them comfortable, happy, and cared for. Your pet gets my full attention, and I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. I do this full time, so I’m able to provide frequent walks, playtime, and check-ins. I make sure to communicate expectations clearly so each pet gets consistent attention and care. I never overbook myself, so your pet always gets plenty of one-on-one time. Safety and comfort come first. When I’m in a client’s home, I follow their exact routines and respect their space. I double-check that doors and gates are secure, can clean up after pets as needed, and make sure each pet feels safe while you’re away. I'll send plenty of updates and photos so you always know how things are going. And if you need a plant watered, a fish or small animal cared for, or some quick household chores taken care of, please just let me know! We can discuss pricing based on what you need. :)

Meredith was excellent taking care on my Ruth. She definitely did the “extra” and made my life easier by being flexible with my sometimes hectic work schedule. She also provided regular updates throughout the day which made me feel very at ease. My dog Ruth loved her and we both felt very secure in Meredith’s hands. I can totally recommend her!

Mary was a wonderful caregiver for our dog! It was our first time using Rover and things couldn't have been better. Mary sent updates during the day, kept our pup entertained with walks, and gave him lots of TLC. We'd love to have Mary watch him again when we're in the Knoxville area.

Jeanie was FANTASTIC with our boy! I had to look for doggy daycare for our young puppy rather last minute and she was so sweet and accommodating. We got lots of pictures of him during his stay. Our little guy had a blast and got lots of love and attention. When we arrived, his crate was all folded up and all of his belongings were packed up and ready for us to pick him up. She’s a real dog-lover and is great with potty training pups. We would definitely book with Jeanie again if needed. 10/5 stars.

About: I have been around animals my entire life! There was never a time I didn’t have a let of some kind. I was always helping neighbors and family members with their animals. I have worked at dog training facilities where we also had doggy daycare. I’ve worked many years at vet offices as well. Therefore my experience with pets with medical needs gives me the knowledge of taking care of your fur baby who may need a little extra attention. I am home throughout the day as well as nights and evenings so your fur babies will get all the love and play time they need! I have a large unfenced yard where your babies can enjoy running while attached to a long leash. They will get to roam around in the home as long as they are potty trained and dog friendly. I have a room that is a dedicated dog room where crates are kept for the dogs to be safely while I am away. YOUR PET MUST BE CRATE TRAINED! Please bring a crate for each dog you are boarding with me unless prior arrangements have been made! I do have a baby so your pet must be good with children.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 242 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Luttrell. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Luttrell commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 242 sitters in Luttrell, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
