About: I have had pets of my own, and I have cared for others' since my teens. I treat them like family because they are family. I have daytime employment, so evenings and weekends are available for walks, playtimes, etc. I can house sit overnights if needed. Please give notice as soon as possible. I'm happy to help your pet stay in their own home and be comfortable. Many pets become anxious when their people leave. Having a companion is helpful.
“James has taken care of Daisy several times now and is always on time, dotes on her like she was his own dog and gives great reports. We always know she is in good hands with James and can competent relax while away!”

About: I have had animals since I was born. I’ve taken care of. Animals ranging from snakes to rats to fish. I now have six dogs, a cat and some fish. Because I am a college student, I have gotten the opportunity to work with Fidos for freedom a nonprofit which helps train service animals to go to people in need. I have learned commands and how to train dogs to understand those commands and I am now helping to raise two puppies. I have older dogs as well as younger ones and tend to give my senior dogs more love then the puppies because I know they need it (the pups get all kinds of attention). I am a college student coming home for the winter break and I am looking for something to help spend my time before I go back to school. I will be able to take care of any animal as much as I can. I am home from school and I am looking forward to see all kinds of cute animals. I have my own vehicle that I am willing to take any animal in no matter the size or fur. I know how to take pets for walks and the signs of when they go out. If the house has a fenced in yard I make sure to keep and eye on the dog(s) just incase there is a prison break.
About: We are a dog loving household with a 8 year old super friendly jack russel of our own who loves playing with other dogs big or small. We both grew up around dogs big and small and love animals. We love going out back to playing catch and going on family walks to the park with the dog. When you board your dog with us rest assure they will be treated as part of the family. I am currently a SAHM so the dogs get lots of attention and playtime we have a fenced dog area in our backyard, allowing the dogs free range to run and play with eachother. we have also have a side of the house specifically blocked off just for the dogs in the case that they want to rest without being bothered. I am sahm during the week and my husband ia home on the weekend while I work so there is always someone here to give thw dogs attention. I have a fenced dog part and a friendly jack russel as well as 2 kida who love to play and tired the dogs out.

About: I have a golden retriever of my own, and have been dog sitting, walking and taking care of other families and friends dogs for about 5 years. I am home from college for the summer, and taking classes at night. I am available during the day and mornings, and have fairly open weekends. I have experience walking pets, feeding them, giving them medication if needed, or just spending time with them while their owners are away! I love sending photos and videos to their owners while they are away.

About: I love animals with all my heart. I’ve never met a pet who hasn’t loved me. I agree with the statement that animals are very energy in tune and I’d like to think so am I! I’ve done lots of dog sitting and cat sitting jobs for people close to me and they’re satisfied with how I did, so you 100% will be too. Your pet is in responsible, attentive hands. I have a free schedule and I’m in desperate need of a side hustle. I have too much free time and I think this would be the perfect thing to book my schedule with, especially because of how much I love being outside and animals. I’m very mindful of the safety even of my own animals so your pet is in the best of hands. Although my yard is not fenced, I take my dog out for walks leashed and for the few times she has escaped, I’m not near any major roads for there to be any accidents or for her to be in harm’s way. I am very vigilant and I would never put your animals or my own at risk because pets are apart of the family and I’d never let anything happen to a family member, even yours.
About: I have always had dogs in my life. The last couple of years I have taken care of 5 senior dogs ,-labs, golden retriever, and toy poodle. I have recently retired. I have my own transportation. I am extremely reliable and punctual. I
“There’s nothing like traveling and worrying the entire time! I was hesitant to use this app and I wasn’t having any luck finding a sitter…until I came across Emily! She kept me informed everyday! My fur babies were in such a better mood when I came home. They are usually boarded and that was not the best environment for them. It would take them days to resettle in at home. Thanks to Emily they were very well cared for! I will rebook for sure!!!!”

“Best sitter you can ask for. Shemoy would drop in for a visit to check on my babies. She’d make sure they got exercise, cleaned any messes, and sent the cutest photos on her way out. 10/10 would recommend!”

About: What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give every pet. I treat each one like family and tailor my care to their unique personality and needs. I’m patient with puppies, helping reinforce routines like potty breaks and basic training, while also providing gentle, attentive care for senior pets who may need a slower pace, medication reminders, or extra comfort. I prioritize safety, reliability, and communication, and I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits into my routine very easily because I plan my day around being consistent and responsible. I’m able to schedule visits in the morning, afternoon, and evening depending on what each pet needs. I make time daily for feeding, walks, playtime, and litter box cleaning, and I stay flexible for any special routines or medication schedules. Weekly, I organize my availability so I can give each pet enough attention without rushing, making sure they feel cared for and not alone for long periods of time I care for pets by keeping their environment clean, safe, and familiar. I follow routines closely, provide food, water, walks, playtime, and give consistent attention and comfort.

About: I've worked in the veterinary field for 3 years now, working my way up from kennel technician to assistant, and currently I'm in school to become a registered veterinary technician. I'd love the chance to be able to help you too! I'm currently working full time at a veterinary hospital in Leonardtown, MD. I typically have 2-3 days off throughout the week and can usually make early morning & later evening visits work when I am scheduled to work. Days vary, but I want to help where I can For dogs, I ensure proper fitting collars and leashes while on walks or playing outside, and I know how to get rid of some of their excess energy. For cats, I do 20 minutes of play and snuggle time (if they allow it). I will always ask about vaccination status, medical conditions, their established veterinary hospital they attend, and any quirks I should know about your furry friend.

About: I have always been around all different animals all growing up, and understand it comes with patience, and love most of all . I have always believed animals have feelings just like we do as humans ! I’m currently working park time and am available any time of the day/night except Tuesdays & Thursdays. I can come in and play , go on a walk , feed, and sit and show love . I can come into clients home, and focus entirely on the animals giving them the care they need while understanding it is not my home .

I put my best foot forward to ensure that the animals, and also people, have what they need to thrive. I am currently a college student who is trying to pursue her dream. I love to have a battle buddy with me to make sure I am constantly learning and understanding interpersonal relationships. I may be young, but I do know a lot about animal behavior and tendencies. I have 2 orange tabby cats. They are the sun needed in my life. I ensure they have what they need and some things to keep them entertained. This is a concept that can be different with every animal, and I am aware of that.

Marissa was incredible. Not only did she tailor her visits to fit the needs of our pups but went above and beyond to make sure that they were more than taken care of. Very communicative and very thorough throughout the entire process. We will definitely be scheduling drop-ins with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
