“Alexa was great! She was super communicative and showed up on time every single day for a month to walk our two dogs while we were settling into a new house. She got them plenty of exercise each day, gave updates on how they did on each walk, adjusted walk lengths based on the weather and how much energy the dogs had each day, and overall was super attentive to each dog’s individual needs. Our boys are missing her already, and we will definitely be using her in the future!”

About: I’ve helped take care of every animal you can think of! Having a big family gave me plenty of opportunities to learn and grow with different animals I attend college two days a week and work the night shift at my job! My day starts pretty early so I have a little too much free time and would love to spend it caring for animals! As long as the animal is provided with every basic essential it needs I will go above and beyond to tend to every need your pet has

About: I believe dogs, like people, need exercise and play time, and lots of love! I am so excited to play with your dogs! I will treat your pets and your home with the care and affection I would exercise on my own home. Animals and hiking are my true passions, so being out in nature with your pup is always a dream come true for me. We will stay active and engaged together to distract them from how much they miss you. Please check out my ample references. I have owned, cared for, and trained dogs all my life, and I love to fill my life with their infectious positivity. I am comfortable with all sizes and temperaments. Please feel free to message me with any questions or concerns, and I will reply as soon as possible! I like to help anyone who needs help! People aren't traveling as much as they used to, so I also clean houses, refinish decks, and am a notary public. I prioritize the pet care, and make my other puzzle pieces fit around your fur babies. I have 24.5 acres- 22 of it is an extensive old forest network with trails weaving around. The meadow area would make a great place to play fetch and enjoy the environment. The attention, exercise and great smelling work will keep your dog engaged and happy in your absence.
About: I have over 45 yrs of experience in pet care. I was a dog trainer (now partially retired), owned my own pet sitting business for many years, fostered/adopted many rescues and I currently volunteer at and support several rescues. Animals are my heart and soul and I will treat your pets as if they were my own. I'm currently working part time and I will make myself available for your pet 24/7 whether it's late night potty trips outside or long walks during the day. I will care for your pets however you would like. I can do long walks, short walks, provide medications, specially prepared meals, play games, etc. I specialized in elderly dogs, hospice dogs and medical needs dogs when I fostered.
About: My family have always owned at least 4 dogs at a time and growing up it was our responsibility as kids to care for them. We would brush them, walk them, feed them, and bath them. I recently graduated with an MBA from East Tennessee State University and I’m working full time as a marketing manager for Ballad Health Medical Associates. I work 3 in days in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and work 2 days remotely Monday and Friday. My job is 2 minutes from my home so I would be able to check on your dog during lunch or check on them at your place. For this reason I don’t accept house sitting on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday that are more than 10 miles away. They will have my attention at all time. They might get tired of me wanting to play with them. I love being around dogs and will make sure your fury friend is well taken care of and happy
About: Hi! I'm Megan! As a former Kennel/Vet Tech with Vet Tech schooling and growing up with dogs, cats, horses and chickens, I have always had a special bond and connection to animals. I have experience with all kinds of different breeds and personalities! My husband, Josh, and I live in our camper van, so we are able to provide constant care for your pets while you're away. When you book us for overnight sits, we take care of your pets and stay in your home as a team of professional petsitters. Josh works remotely in IT, and I work some weekends in the wedding industry, so with no physical, daily job to go to and no house/pets of our own to check on, we are able to spend a significant amount of our time taking care of your pets. A bonus of our luxury care is that your pets will get double the love and attention from us throughout the day; our goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible and for them to hardly know you're gone! Living in a van and working remotely comes with so much flexibility for us and our Rover clients. Pet parents value the level of care we're able to provide with our nomadic lifestyle. Petcare is my full-time job, so when you book us for a housesit, that is my main priority. While I'm the main caretaker, Josh learns about your pets' care needs and helps out a ton as well, especially if I have to work a wedding or I need to do drop-ins/dog walks. We work great as a team to meet your pets’ needs and to keep their normal routine. We take the safety of your pets and the care of your home very serious. If you have pets that require special attention or have high anxiety, we are there to ensure everyone is safe, relaxed, and taken care of. We care for your pets as if they were our own and you can be rest assured they'll not only have their needs met, but be loved, played with and given plenty of attention as well!
“Sarah was great! Very kind and great communication. Loved seeing all the pictures she took of Enzo on his walk. He always looked so happy! Sad she’s leaving the state for a few months but definitely looking forward to working with her again when she returns.”

About: I have volunteered at an animal rescue sanctuary for 10+ years. As a caretaker my duties at the sanctuary require demanding physical labor, housekeeping, and responsibilities of supervision over animals and other volunteers. We had over 100+ different types of animals and always have been around dogs and cats! They are my joy! I work 2 full time jobs but I have mornings, evenings and weekends open! I am looking for something that will fit into that kind of schedule. I have no animals at home. It is safe and a very clean environment. I am the most respectful and will aways listen to what you and your pets need.
About: I love dogs and cats, and I’m a huge animal lover. I will take care of your pets like they’re my own. I will be patient and loving with them, make sure they get extra love and always keep them safe. I have two cats myself, and I’ve had dogs in the past pretty much my whole life. I have experience with almost every breed, and I lived with someone who had a husky, and I learned how to specifically take care of the husky. I would an opportunity to take care of your pet and help you with whatever you need. I love animals so much, and spending time with dogs and cats make me so happy. please consider me in helping you make your days a little easier!
About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, I grew up with dogs, cats, pocket pets, birds, horses, chickens, ducks, goats, pigs. I feel like I’ve had it all, I am also a very seasoned Vet tech. I am expierenced with giving animals medication as well. If I am watching a dog I will be sure to make sure they get enough exercise, and any other pets I will make sure they all get love and cuddles! My own pets are super spoiled, and I would treat your pets just like they were my own. I don’t care about breeds, from working in a vets office I do have experience with animals that can sometimes be moody. I sure hope I get to talk to you soon! I do currently work 3 days a week, so pets that will be staying in my home will be taken care of before and after work by me. My partner is also at the house throughout the day and treats any animal that comes into our home like his own. I will take your pups for walks/hikes, and to the dog park if your pet is dog friendly. I believe allowing them to get their energy out is very important.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
