“As reluctant as I was to allow a stranger to come into my home, I was that much more hesitant to allow a stranger to walk my three dogs, in the end I knew I had no other choice but to hire someone due to my work schedule. While searching I came across Jef’s profile and I decided to go with him in booking dog walking for my three dogs. Jef even came to meet my dogs before he was to begin walking them the following day. From the initial message to the first time meeting, Jef maintained great communication and updated me each day after their walks. Jef definitely has something about him that made my dogs very comfortable around him. He quickly gained their trust and vice versa. Jef is also very persistent and knowledgeable in training dogs and helping to improve any bad leash habits. I will definitely be booking Jef for any future needs and I would definitely recommend him to anyone with pets.”

About: I am a dog owner of 2 German shepherds and previously I had 2 black labs. I have trained them all to be off leash walkers and very well mannered in public areas. My love for animals is dramatic and I aspire to give the affection to more animals than I can contain in my own home. I am a stay at home mom so I am home all day every day. Our weekend are typically free outside of an arcade visit on some Saturdays. I am vigilant in my efforts to keep dogs safety and happiness my top priority. My dogs have given me so much in my life that I only want every dog to have the best life they can live. I am excited to show animals the love and affection that they lack when their parents go on vacation.

“Chelsea is great! She responds quickly, shows up on time, is flexible, and has worked with me to address my dog’s needs. My dog takes a while to warm up to people, but she felt comfortable with Chelsea almost immediately and I did as well. If you are in the Jackson area I highly recommend Chelsea as a dog walker.”

About: Hello parents of furbabies! A little about me: I worked at a petsmart in the grooming salon where we had to take extensive courses on dogs and cats, so I have experience working with dogs/cats from all walks of life. I have befriended anxious dogs who usually fear humans and earned the acceptance of aggressive dogs. Animals tend to like me regardless of their personalities. I am as happy on a leisurely walk for a mellow dog who wants to sniff and explore as I am to tire out a dog with boundless energy. I have 2 dogs of my own and have had dogs and cats my whole life. You might catch me crying while watching videos of dogs getting adopted or lost dogs being found. If you think I'd be a good fit to take care of your best friend, please reach out! Whether it’s cuddling, playing fetch, taking a walk, I am home almost all of the time spending time with my doggos. My boyfriend is also home quite often so there’s an extra set of hands here to help! I have a big backyard that is fenced in. My house is always clean and disinfected. I am big on safety especially because I have my own dogs who love to get into stuff. You don’t have to worry about my pups being around your pups if needed because my dogs have their own area of the house they can stay in to be separated! Let me know if that is necessary for you.

About: I was raised on a ranch with all kinds of pets. I can't recall life without dogs we are so fortunate to have them in our lives they are unconditional in the love and affection they give . I was in dog rescue for 21 years as a foster. I had 7 dogs all were what was considered not able to be put in a home do to behavior issues the only option for these dogs was to be euthanized so I kept the rejects and had to stop rescue as to the inn was full and I still dog sat for the dogs that had been at my home until a new home was found . I have extensive experience with all types of dogs . I have a cat who pretends dogs do not exist so she just stays away, my cat was a ferel rescue cat and is now a fat and sassy house cat . I have a large home so have part of it sectioned off where her litter box and food are to keep dogs out of both . If I house sit I have experience with farm animals for feeding. I garden so watering is in my range. I'm home 75% of the time so I'm available. I may run a errand but that's about it . If weather permits and you have a road dog car rides with me are perfect. I spend a lot of my time cooking and blogging I cook for seniors in my community. If I'm gardening outside the dogs are welcome to be with me. I have a double lot so plenty of play room . Half of it is fenced for plenty of play room . I have a crate if needed . Your dog will have free roaming access in my home and allowed on the furniture . If I'm sitting your pet in your home it's your home and your rules that I follow . I have passed my Background check here on Rover to take care of your fur babies. I have passed my 2nd Government Background check to take care of children. I have passed my 3rd Goverment Background check to take care of elders . The point is I want you to be assured your fur babies are safe with me .

About: I have been owned by cats and dogs in the past. I recently transferred with my job from the East Coast to Utah, and now reside in Northern California and currently frequent the Humane Society to visit with the cats and dogs waiting for homes. Pet Sitting - I am able to walk them/feed in the mornings and after 5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Thursday - Sundays more frequently. I do prefer overnight pet sitting. I am reliable, responsible and have a "knack" with most pets. I do need to know about any behavioral issues (likes to chew on things that aren't their toys for example). Do they do well with new people? I prefer not to sit pit bull terriers, but mixed breeds I don't have a problem with. I am a super worrier and Aixa has been awesome ! I can’t recommend her enough for all your animal needs”

About: Ever since I was a baby there’s been a cats and dogs that were a part of our family. When I was in kindergarten and 1st grade, my mom was breeding English Bulldogs. I got to be there for the births and little tumbling steps. We also had a little tabby cat that I’ve had until last year. Once I turned 11, I was able to get my very own kitty, I was ecstatic! Since then I’ve always had my own animals & now at 19 years old I have 3 furry cat babies. I’ve had to give them nearly all their shots and dewormer, as well as an occasional bath (when they’ll let me!) I have a 1 year old puppy as well who I got for free at a yard sale! Standing on all his legs he’s nearly half as tall as me, so I have plenty of experience with bigger fur babies! With my 3 kitties and dog my day always involves them! They’re fed before me and their morning routine is the first step of mine. In my home my kitties roam freely, but are solely indoor cats. They’re fed before have constant water and plenty of room to run around and a cat stand to make a racetrack out of! My puppy loves to be in our back yard and is still figuring out catch, but after a game of him (making me) chase the ball, he’s ready for a fat nap inside! My pets are definitely spoiled rotten

At the end of the day, a pet is truly a human’s best friend and deserves the best care. I hope you keep me in mind when you need an individual to look after your animal! Only the best care for them. I will ensure that your dog will feel comfortable with me.

About: UPDATE: 12/07/2023:Moved to San Jose and do not offer boarding or daycare at this time. My children and I started watching dogs in 2013 as a way for them to have the experience of having a furry friend and the responsibility it teaches. Over the years we have had the pleasure of bonding with regulars (the dogs, cats and sometimes the people too!) learning about breed specific tendencies and characteristics and have and continue to enjoy having the furry guests stay with us. My kids have since grown up and moved out on their own. Restless in my empty nest I have moved on. As such my house is no longer available for boarding. However, I am continuing to house sit which I started doing about a year or so prior to having doggy guests. I am also available for drop in visits and walking services. Feel free to contact me with any questions! Cheers! I work remotely with an occasional trip to visit project sites. My schedule is flexible enough to fit with your pups needs as closely as possible so they have some consistency. Dog/cat/house-sitting provides a familiar environment for the animals to be most comfortable in. However, a potential issue arises when a dog is particularly territorial and the sitter seen as an invader. Please keep this in mind when requesting a house-sitter. As the temporary care taker of the domain and those subject to that sphere of influence I do my utmost to keep things as normal and routine as absentee authority. Having a stranger in the home can make people a bit uneasy. Cameras in "common areas" can help bring some relief. Being able to "pop in" is convenient. If you do not have cameras we can schedule video chats if you like. Trust is built over time and communication about likes and dislikes is very much appreciated. I do not have other people that tag along with me but if I could persuade her, I'd bring my daughter. But this would be discussed and done with permission of course.

Cheyanna W.
“My wife and I have been blessed to have Cheyanna watch our two dogs and our cat when we are out of town. They all love her, and we know they are in good hands! We highly recommend her. Thank You, Cheyanna!”

Jessie E.
“Jessie is the best! She’s an actual working vet technician, and she will go above and beyond for your pet. Her dog, Indie, is a testament to her love for animals. He follows her everywhere and is such a good, sweet boy. I’ve seen her catch a cat with one hand, turn him over, and give him a pill without him even really noticing. She has this weird power where animals just feel comfortable in her presence. She also has unending, unconditional love for animals that I don't think I could even have for a person. I’ve had her watch my pooches many times and they’re always so excited to see her, it almost makes me jealous. Your animal is in the safest hands possible with her, the only step above would be if you literally boarded them at a vet’s office (which would be the same thing anyway...because she works at the vet’s office and would probably be the one looking after them!)”

Jenny J.
“I am so happy to know Jenny is looking after my pup- Baby. To be able to leave her in her own home with Jenny is the best. She looks after the house and the dog very well. With the cost of dog hotels this has to be the best choice. Plus I don't have to worry about my pup picking something up. You can enjoy your business trip or vacation knowing that the pup is getting the best care and isn't in some place in a crate thinking she has been deserted. After knowing Jenny for nearly 20 years, I can recommend her. I have never met Jenny when she hasn't been up beat and a pleasure to be around, so when you get home you have a happy pup and a smiling face to greet you.”
