6. Mary R.
“Mary and her family are AWESOME! My dog Blue is a very small papillon and can be a little shy at first. Mary and her family did such a wonderful job making Blue feel right at home. She sent tons of super cute photos and updates and her son even brushed little Blue! I know my pup was living it up at her home and I felt so comfortable leaving her there. When I picked Blue up I could tell she really acclimated to being there! Mary’s family has two sweet doggies as well so Blue got some extra doggy socialization while she was there too. I’d recommend Mary and fam in a heartbeat and hope that Blue will be able to stay there again. 10/10 absolutely would recommend!”
7. Katina M.

11. Jani & Paul R.
“Jani and Paul took amazing care of Kona! We hate to leave her, however I could tell she was being totally spoiled with love from the daily photos and updates. Kona is quite active, so they took her on daily walks and played ball with her in their yard. Kona enjoyed watching the squirrels in their backyard and was made to feel totally at home. I would not hesitate to recommend Jani and we already have another visit booked for Kona.”

18. Sarah H.
About: I am 39 years old, and grew up with dogs (miniature dachshunds, and a cocker spaniel). Most recently, I adopted an adult male dog (30lb mix) from the Charlottesville SPCA in 2019 and cared for him by myself until he recently passed away (November 2024). I experienced giving him medicine when he was sick, his monthly preventatives, and ensuring that he was seen at the vet for checkups on time, had all his vaccines, etc. He loved to walk, and we did 4-5 miles per day. I took him on hikes, and to the dog park very frequently to play with his usual friends. He had his own car seat for travel when we visited friends and family. I’d like to think I was a very responsible and nurturing dog owner :) *I am not sure how long I will be doing this, as I plan to adopt another dog at some point and not sure how that will work. I think I would be a great backup plan for your regular dog sitter or walker! I currently work from home, and at times leave for a couple of hours in the middle of the day to do home visits for work. I’m mostly at home. I would normally take my dog out for a brief potty in the morning when I got up (about 8am), for a long walk mid-day, and another potty break 5pm-ish, 8pm-ish, and 11pm-ish before bed. *I am not sure how long I will be doing this, as I plan to adopt another dog at some point and not sure how that will work. I think I would be a great backup plan for your regular dog sitter or walker! I live in a second floor condo, but do not have a problem going in and out several times a day. Your dog will not get out the front door unleashed. I also have a wraparound balcony that is completely fenced in, for your dog to lay outside. When I had my dog, he was allowed on the couch, but he preferred his own bed (haha). He was also fine left hanging around the house uncreated when I went out, so I was fine with that too. However, if your dog is more comfortable crated, I can accommodate that as well. I am comfortable giving medication, and transporting dogs.
19. Emil F.
“Emil was very flexible and accommodating over the holidays and kept Chewie happy and active. Sent pics every now and then. Would totally recommend and hope he will be available for Chewie in the future! 😊☺️”
20. Lindy P.
“We are so happy to have found Lindy. She took excellent care of our dog Rex while we were away! We got pictures of of him playing, walking, and lounging every day, AND he ate all his food which he usually doesn’t do when boarded. We highly recommend Lindy and will definitely use her again when we are away.”
