“Ashley was great. She went above and beyond at each visit for our 2 doodles. She even took them on walks even though we have a fenced back yard so it wasn’t necessary. Took lots of pics each visit. Thank you. We would certainly recommend to others, and would contact again when needed.”

“Sandra did a wonderful job for us while we were out of town for the weekend. She showed up on time and did everything she was supposed to do without any issues. Would recommend.”

“Thank you so much Tiffany!! Sorry my cats are scaredy cats, but I'll work on that for future visits. Tiffany does great job looking after my kitties. Loved the pictures.”

“Haley was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of our animals while we were away and was very responsive and extremely helpful. Titus and Turbo were both very well cared for and it gave us great comfort and peace of mind knowing that they were in good hands :)”

“Jessica was amazing with Nash (who can be quite a handful 🤣) She came for his potty, dinner, and anxiety pill routine when I worked long hours and I always felt at ease with the communication and photos she provided. I can’t wait to book with her again for the remainder of the summer! 10/10!!!”

“Morgan was great with our two girls, one that is tripawd. I could tell from our meet and greet she is a great dog mom which made me confident that she would treat my babes with care. She was on time for the drop-in and completed it exactly per our discussion. We already booked her for another drop-in and plan to use her in the future!”

About: Pets have been a part of my life my whole life. I've owned everything from dogs, cats, rodents, fish, and ferrets. In high school I spent all my extra time volunteering at Kansas City Ferret Rescue. We even ran some of the shelter out of our house for a while. Currently I own 2 pit bulls and boy do I love my bully breeds. I have Marvel who is 11 and hes my gentle giant. We adopted his mother and had her her whole life and kept him from a litter of puppies she had. We've been together since birth. I also have Alice and she is getting ready to turn 5, we adopted her at 8 weeks old from a neighbor. She's super energetic. I have LOTS of training in taking care of puppies. I also own a 13 year old black Maine coon cat. I adopted him from wayside waifs when he was a tiny 8 week old kitten. My pets are very loved and yours will be also! We will have lots of fun playing with toys, going on walks and all the belly rubs. I am currently a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to spend with your babies while your away. There will be no hurry in my visits. I currently walk my dogs everyday. They are fed twice a day, morning and evening. We also play ball and Frisbee in our backyard. I will try to keep your pets schedule as close as I can to their current schedule with you.
“Kendall was great with our dogs! We were able to book with her last minute on the same day, which was super helpful as our trip was last minute. She took great care of our dogs and sent pics for each visit. She even bought our puppy a toy which was super sweet of her to do. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Kathleen was great with my 4 year old, high energy, Boston Terrier. Was very responsive and made it so I did not have to stress if my pup was going to be well taken care of. Would recommend to anyone in the area!”

“Katlin was amazing! She communicated with me for everything and I trusted her to come into my house and to take care of my dogs while we were away. We will be using her in the future if we need someone to watch them again.”
“Gracie went above and beyond for all of our animals! And I could see her on our cameras being super sweet and patient with them all! Definitely will be using her in the future!”

“Madilyn was amazing and stayed in constant communication with us throughout her visits. It was obvious that our 3 boys took to her right away and enjoyed her company while we were gone. She was very prompt and thorough with all of her visits, provided detailed notes and adorable pictures of our guys, and put our minds at ease with leaving our dogs home while we traveled. Absolutely recommend and will work with her in the future!”

“Jill is awesome with our sweet puppy. She’s always on time for drop in visits. Jill loves what she does and it shows! I would highly recommend Jill. I’m so glad that we found her ?”

“Marianne was absolutely delightful at our meet and greet, and the gang 🐾 loved her from the start! The pics each visit felt very personal, and I knew my babies were in good hands!”

About: Hi! I currently work at a dog boarding/daycare facility, so I am experienced in the care and safety of pets! I own 6 pets at home, and I have always had many pets growing up. I wish to become a zoologist someday so I can create conservation acts to save animals. I am here to ensure your pet is cared for! Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lone Jack. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
