“Annadel and Jose (and their dog) are wonderful! Super friendly, great communication, great care. Every step of the process was incredibly smooth, and our dog was obviously very comfortable and happy with them. He LOVED playing in their big backyard. Can't wait to bring him there again.”

“Feiran is the best and even sends updates on how my dogs are doing. First time I used Rover and First for my dogs to be watched outside of their home. They met and played with other dogs. I will definitely bring them back to her again. Thank you Feiran for taking good care of my doggies.”

“Rae took such good care of our girls. They went on lots of walks! One of our dogs is diabetic and she gave her insulin twice a day. She sent lots of pictures and reported how they were doing. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Meghan is a wonderful dog sitter! She is very responsive and communicates well. She also is friendly, kind, and caring. Our dog loves her, and we look forward to having her sit for us again!”

“Audra and her son do an awesome job caring for Wrigley! Audra tends to have great availability for watching my dog when I need someone. She communicates quickly when I'm checking her availability and provides lots of updates while my dog is in her care. Love having someone responsible and caring to count on to care for my dog when I have to be gone.”

About: I have been taking care of animals my whole life, from my own pets, to fostering newborn puppies and kittens for the SPCA, to my previous position as a veterinary nurse at a hospital in Livermore, where I worked with cats and dogs on a daily basis. Before starting this position, I graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Pre-Veterinary Animal Science. Therefore, I feel well-prepared to handle any of your pet care needs, regardless of the degree of difficulty or complication. I am now a student working towards my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, but love to watch pets in my free time! I am willing to be flexible to accommodate your and your pet's schedule! Even though I am a full-time student, I often attend class virtually. When it comes to taking care of your pet in your home, I will be sure to thoroughly understand any directions given and conduct care in a kind and patient manner. Having owned pets with both medical and behavioral abnormalities before, I completely relate to the anxiety of trusting someone else with their care, but I hope that I can ease some of that anxiety for you by doing my absolute best to honor all of your pet's needs. Of course, I will also be respectful of your home and belongings.
About: I have experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I've cared for dogs in a home environment, including feeding, walking, bathing, playing, and maintaining their daily routines. I'm also a PhD student at the University of Illinois and work from home most of the week, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. I treat every dog with patience, kindness, and the same attention I would want for my own pets! I'm currently a PhD student at the University of Illinois, and I work from home most of the week. My schedule is very flexible, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I'm generally available on both weekdays and weekends for boarding, doggy day care, walks, and drop-in visits. Since I'm home so frequently, pets won't have to spend long periods of time alone, and I can easily accommodate their regular feeding, exercise, and bathroom routines. I live in a dog-friendly, first-floor apartment that provides a comfortable and welcoming environment for pets. Since I work from home most of the week, I'm able to provide regular supervision, attention, and companionship throughout the day. I prioritize each pet's safety and comfort by following their usual routines, including feeding schedules, walks, bathroom breaks, and playtime. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, and I'm happy to accommodate their individual preferences. When caring for pets in a client's home, I make sure to respect their space, follow all instructions carefully, and maintain their pet's normal routine. I'm also happy to provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for!
About: Hey everyone, my name is Aric. I am originally from Peoria, Illinois but live in Champaign, Illinois. I have had dogs and cats my entire life. We get along great. Currently, I have one dog and two cats of my own. I have extra space in my house and am able to keep Rover animals separate. Please read all of my profile and contact me before requesting a service. One important thing to know is that Rover adds additional booking fees to my rates. If you can pay directly via Cashapp, Venmo, or Zelle, my rates will be lower than what is listed. Or, if you prefer to still use Rover for payments, that is ok. Send me a message if you have any questions. Hola a todos, me llamo Aric (Eric con A) y muchas personas que hablan el español me llaman mi segundo nombre Enrike (Enrique con K). Soy de Peoria, Illinois y vivo en Champaign, Illinois. He tenido perros y gatos toda mi vida. I take great care of my animals every day. I am very good with structed routines for me and my animals. Currently, my dog and two cats live with me. I replenish their food and water twice each day and socialize with them every day. Drop-In Visits: I am very flexible and adaptable to most environments and most needs of my clients and their humans. My profile accurately reflects services and prices. However, there may be some potential flexibility in order to meet the needs of my clients. Please read my entire profile including the introduction area where I mention how Rover adds additional booking fees to my rates. Day Care and/or Boarding: All my animals are up-to-date on vaccines. My cats have had vaccines for rabies and FVRCP. My dog has had vaccines for rabies, canine influenza bivalent (H3N2 and H3N8), distemper, parvo, bordetella, leptospirosis, and lyme disease. While I do not expect you to have all of these for your animals too, I do prefer that your animals are vaccinated for at least rabies and distemper for both dogs and cats as well as bordetella for dogs. Vaccines are very important for the safety, health, and well-being of all of our animals. For similar reasons, for boarding and/or day care, you MUST provide your cage/crate for your animals.

About: I am a dog lover to the bone! I work from home so I can spend the entire day with your pet. I have a very friendly spayed 70lb dog, Bee, for socialization. Your pet will have their own room to hangout in if they wish. I trained my rescue dog myself so I’m familiar with the rescue dog stress. I work from home so I am always available for your pet! I am always available to let them out for a potty break and there to observe everything. I have a big, fenced backyard and love to take a neighborhood walk every other day! I already work on a feeding schedule for my dog and play/tug time is a must.
“Nina was available when I booked her last minute, she was very accommodating and asked a lot of questions about Nikko to best take care of him, which I very much appreciate! Nikko was so calm when I picked him up! I could tell he trusted him even for a short time he spent with Nina!”

About: I’ve had house dogs for most of my adult life. I recently had to put my little guy to sleep after 13 years and I’m looking to fill that void he left! I’m patient and loving. I now have a 6 pound chihuahua that’s 9 and very laid back I’ve just started this business but you won’t find someone more passionate about caring for your dog I work a few part time hours and would be pretty flexible with my schedule. Able to spend quality time with your pet and give the attention I would care for your pet as you do. I have a condo and a great neighborhood for walks. They will be very comfortable and happy with me
About: I grew up with animals, and am experienced with taking care of cats and dogs. In Champaign, I have had four cat over different times and now I have a Doodle dog, who is a caring and loving gentleman! I am mostly available in the morning, late afternoons, and early evenings. Other times I spend my time studying at the library and trying to graduate toward my PhD degree. I live in a house and have lots of free space. We have a fenced yard with short fences that work for our large doodle just fine. However, if your fur baby is an escape artist, our fence might be too short and flimsy...

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lodge home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lodge.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lodge sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
