“Jessica was very nice and my dog liked her. She send photos updates and messages. I really appreciate her and all that she did for my fur baby. Would recommend because it was my first time allowing a stranger to come into my home especially overnight and my instinct said I can trust her and that’s what I did. Thanks again Jessica!”

“Ronny is everything one could want in a pet sitter and house sitter! He is professional, courteous, communicative, and most important of all, amazing with pets. I loved my updates and photos while I was away for three weeks, and I could count on him to keep me up to date with what was going on for his safety and my cat’s safety during some heatwaves/storms. I could tell my cat was relaxed and happy with her buddy around. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Christy was absolutely wonderful to our pups and our home. Everything was the way we left it when we returned and the dogs were happy. We are very happy with her and will be calling her again~”

“Billie just watched my dog for two days and again I am blown away with her service. She went above and beyond to make sure he was happy active and attended to. Absolutely the best so happy to work with her.”

“What can we say about Jessica K. other than that she is the perfect fit for our family. Jessica K. Stayed with our 3 dogs and 2 cats for an extra long weekend. She was wonderful! Jessica was quick to respond to us when we checked in with her. She also took photos of our guys and sent them to us without being prompted. We felt very secure and comfortable knowing that she was at our home. Jessica K. Was very attentive to the needs of my menagerie, both inside and outside of our home ( wildlife that we feed ). She must have also sensed my personal uncomfortably with leaving our “kids” as she sent me very positive/comforting messages and photos throughout our trip. She had the perfect amount of communications with us from the moment that we left up until the time that we got back into our car to come home. JessicaK. genuinely cares. We had very positive communications and we certainly plan to have Jessica to our home again. She’s a lovely young woman with much love to give to her furry charges. Thank you Jessica K.!”

“Brittany did a fantastic job taking care of our pups! We had to book her last minute for the weekend and she took care of everything like a pro. Both of our babies took right to her right away and spent the day glued to her side. Brittany was everything you want from someone watching your pets- reliable, trustworthy, professional and caring. Would love to have her watch them again.”

“Megan was great, she stayed with my animals, sent me updates! Made my vacation so much better knowing my animals were in great care! Cleaned up when she left, best experience ever!”

“Ashton was great with our two dogs! They warmed up to him almost immediately and he was very thoughtful in their care. He was very responsive and prudent with being on time and keeping them on a schedule. Also left the house exactly how he found it which was a huge relief being able to come home to a clean house! Would absolutely recommend!”

“Aiden was amazing. We came home to a spotless house and all of our pets seemed happy and well cared for. He even put away our Hellofresh order that arrived the day we got back because we were getting back kind of late! He made it is easy to relax on our vacation without having to worry about our pets. We would definitely recommend and will definitely be using him again when we go away.”

“Paul was wonderful with our pups - he was amazing at communicating with us every day just as we asked and sent plenty of pictures and videos. We felt very comfortable leaving our furry loved ones with him. He did an amazing job and we would absolutely hire him again.”

“Treanne sat overnight for our 15 year old dog, Fox between June 30th - July 5th. I was so happy with our experience- she was so attentive to our guy especially with his age and neighbors shooting fireworks over the 4th. She sent daily pictures and updates with him. I had a peace of mind while being away. If we go away again, I would not hesitate to book Treanne again.”

“Ashley was amazing! She notified us and sent a picture of our pups soon after she arrived. She kept us updated by emails and photos throughout her stay. Because our return was tentative because of driving back from a wedding, she stopped by in the afternoon to let the pups out prior to our return. I highly recommend her and will be using her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Locust Grove
Natasha was awesome!! This was my first time using rover to have someone stay at my house with the dogs and she immediately made me feel at ease. My dogs are high energy and can be a little quirky when it comes to strangers, but she kept me in the loop throughout her stay with videos and they seemed to be very happy and comfortable with her right away. Would definitely recommend to a friend and book again in the future!

Morgan exceeded all expectations. Just from the meet and greet I had a feeling she was going to be great with watching my dog Bruno. She was very friendly and even gave me a questionnaire to fill with all the details regarding Bruno. Her communication before and during the stay was excellent. During the stay she provided feedback regularly and took care of my anxious dog very well. I would recommend Morgan to anyone looking for a someone that you can easily trust to take care of your pet the way you want.

Kylee did a fantastic job! She was very polite, professional, and dependable throughout the entire experience. It’s refreshing to work with a young lady who takes pride in what she does and provides such excellent service. I highly recommend Kylee to anyone looking for a trustworthy and responsible pet sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of our pets!

Brittany did a fantastic job taking care of our pups! We had to book her last minute for the weekend and she took care of everything like a pro. Both of our babies took right to her right away and spent the day glued to her side. Brittany was everything you want from someone watching your pets- reliable, trustworthy, professional and caring. Would love to have her watch them again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Locust Grove walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Locust Grove maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Locust Grove choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
