About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have always had a deep love for them. While I’ve primarily worked with horses and cows, I’ve also spent years around dogs and cats. We have our own rescue pup at home, and I’ve helped care for everything from small lap dogs to German Shepherds. Animals can do no wrong out of evil or malice in MOH eyes, they just need guidance and love and help! My biggest flaw as a sitter is that I tend to over communicate as a baseline — usually out of confirming their health / safety first — but I can discern what is an emergency and send summarized updates (i.e. by night or by weekend if housesitting longterm, for example.) I’m an experienced dog foster (3+ years) and have worked with and hosted many different dogs from Great Pyrenees, high drive working dogs (I own a Dutch Shepherd), snuggly bully breeds, energetic cattle dogs and everything in between. Spending time with pups is one of my favorite ways to pass the time and I am more than willing to build a good relationship with your dog. I also am well versed in positive reinforcement as well as working with dogs who may need a little work on their manners. My schedule is very flexible and I make my own hours. In my previous employment I was background checked and fingerprinted. I am supportive of whatever training or behavior goals you have for your dog. If that’s helping your energetic pup learn to wait to go out the door until I give them their cue word, then I’ll do that.
