About: I grew up around all types and sizes of dogs and once I was 20 I got my first dog. We are now a household with 2 pups and 2 guinea pigs. As a pet sitter I consider myself devoted and attentive to the needs of your pets. I believe in a positive dog training approach and lead my interactions with kind authority. I've been entrusted to watch animals and children since I was 15 years old. I've been raised with pets that have special needs such as medication requirements and am comfortable providing for them as well. I am currently working from home and have a very flexible work schedule. I live near the WSU campus and can reach the local neighborhoods readily. Typically I am away from home during the holidays but can schedule some time around that. In general I will be available for walks and check ins at various times throughout the day. In Pullman we are lucky to have the availability of some trails and walking paths that are great areas to take dogs. I also believe in tailoring the walk to the pet. For example some dogs are nervous around busy streets, therefore we can modify and walk on back roads or in parks that may provide a better environment during their walk. I also have a valid drivers license and have had experience driving with dogs for 6+ hours in the car.

“This was our first time using Rover and I must say that Shelby was outstanding!! She was extremely responsive and since both of my cats required medication administration, she was very willing to set up a meet and greet to meet ours cats and to see the process to give them their medications. All went so well during the meet and greet, but when it came time for Shelby to visit the cats during our vacation, my cats decided to not cooperate by hiding from her and made it pretty difficult to give them their medications as they would keep running away. Shelby was very honest about how things were going and provided detailed updates with photos. She was extremely patient with my cats and they were able to get more comfortable as the week went on and eventually let her pick them up and stopped hiding which was very reassuring. She did excellent with getting them their medications even though the cats didn't make it easy! She was on time, provided excellent care, and we were able to relax on vacation knowing they were cared for. We plan to have Shelby help us again in the future!! Thanks SO much Shelby!!”

About: Hi, I’m Libby! I worked at a dog kennel for 4 years and have been dog sitting for families since high school. I’m experienced with all kinds of dogs and love making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I’ll treat your pup like my own and keep you updated along the way! Right now, I work part-time retail (mostly evenings), and I’m currently looking for a full-time job, so my schedule can be a bit flexible during the day. While things are a little up in the air, I always make sure to plan ahead so pets get the care and attention they need. If something ever comes up, I’ll communicate clearly and make sure your pet is still well taken care of. When caring for pets in their own home, I try my best to stick closely to their usual routine to keep them comfortable and happy. I make sure they’re fed on time, get plenty of play and potty breaks, and feel safe while you’re away. I’m respectful of your space and always keep you updated with how your pet is doing!

About: I have owned both cats and dogs, and I love the care that comes with owning these selfless creatures. Whether it’s playing string with cats, or going for long walks with energetic dogs, it’s a joy to interact with each of their unique personalities. I’m a dog park regular, a cat favorite and have experience with dogs from training puppies to working with elderly dogs. My schedule is, at this time in my life, rather open. I’m not in school right now, and I am lucky to be able to do pet-sitting as a steady means of work at this time in my life. During the week, I typically have a few consistent dogs that I walk for, as well as a few overnight pet-sitting jobs a few times per month. I’d love for you to be one of them! Because of this, it makes it easier for me to stay with the pet for a majority of the time, if desired. If I need to leave, it’s usually just to go home and cook my husband dinner, do a few errands or to walk/check on another pet. It all depends on your pet’s needs and habits. Feeding, bathroom and attention are the basics, but besides that I can be extremely active, going for long or several walks/day and lots of playing with toys, to more relaxed, following your animal’s needs. Hanging out with pets is as much for me as it is for the owner I’m working for and their pet. I find lots of fulfillment through spending time with animals, whether it’s my own or Rover clients. I have met many families on here that were strangers at first that eventually became a consistent friend/client.

About: My name is Marill. I love all animals. I have been watching animals since 2006. I absolutely love dogs. Every pet I've ever watched I try to mimic their home behavior so there are no bad habbits learned. If they aren't allowed on the couch at home. I wont let them here. If they are working on commands I will use your verbiage and hopefully return them to you more trained then when they came! If you want them to have the best time ever and be on vaca too, I can absolutely do that as well with beach days and sleeping in, on my bed! I want your pet to feel happy and loved while you're away and I can always provide pictures and video's too if you'd like! I have had a lot of experience with dog behaviors, training and medications and am always willing to learn. I chose to do Rover because I no longer wanted to leave my older dog… then COVID happened and I lost all 4 of my hospitality jobs so I chose to watch dogs full time! Rover is just one more way to get my name out there, but this is all I do all day long and I love it! I own a boarding business that I run out of my home so I’m here all day every day doing what I love. So Rover is just a great way to get in touch with people that need their pet to be in a safe and happy environment while they are away. I have 6 dogs of my own. Ranging from 6 years to 1. All different play styles or all of them love to sleep too! I have everything your dog needs to feel safe, get properly socialized, learn in a group setting and really enjoy coming here every time. I love all the dogs I watch just as if they were my own.

I am currently helping my fiancé with some of his business needs. That being said I have plenty flexible time to spend with your fur babies! I can almost always make your timing work! I can not watch them in my place as it is a small apartment with no yard. I have professional experience with how a pet should be treated in a home. About: My family always had pets growing up, I've taken care of dogs, cats, fish, ginuea pigs, and even a few bearded dragons. I've also pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors! I've raised a couple kittens into adulthood too! I currently work throught the week during the day, but my availability opens up at about 5pm. My weekends are usually pretty open. I'm always happy to be flexible whenever possible. The cats I've brought up from kittens ended up affectionate and playful. My current cat is a rescue, due to having a rough early life she ended up extremely shy and anxious, she's taught me a lot about interacting with cats, and more generally animals, that are cautious of people.
