“We were a bit anxious to leave our fur baby for an extended time - 9 days- when we went on vacation. I couldn’t imagine him being happy in a kennel with 100s of other dogs. That is why I’m so glad we discovered Rover and in particular Cheyann & Nicole. They were ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL with our little Ranger and treated him as if he was their very own. Each day we received pictures and texts about how his day was going and how he had adjusted to making friends with the other dogs that Cheyann was watching. It was obvious he was having fun and was being well cared for. I would definitely recommend Cheyann if you are looking for someone to watch your fur baby.”

About: I have loved animals my whole life. growing up with dogs, cats, fish, and birds, I enjoy pets of all kinds! I have experience with both pet boarding and pet sitting! I have worked with several different families with multiple dog and feel totally comfortable with that. Going to the dog park is always fun but I know some dogs aren’t comfortable there. I also have lots of experience with cats and birds. My roommate is allergic to cats so they can’t stay at our house but I would be happy to come to yours. Walking pups is a great way to explore new neighborhoods. Through these kinds of experiences I have learned that it is always more fun to walk around and explore with a four legged friend. I work a pretty consistent schedule but I am lucky enough to be able to flex it. I can adjust it to meet your pups needs. I have a fenced in yard that I spend a lot of time in during the summer. Every pet I've ever watched I try to mimic their home behavior so there are no bad habbits learned. If they aren't allowed on the couch at home. I wont let them here. If they are working on commands I will use your verbiage and hopefully return them to you more trained then when they came! If you want them to have the best time ever and be on vaca too, I can absolutely do that as well with beach days and sleeping in, on my bed! I want your pet to feel happy and loved while you're away and I can always provide pictures and video's too if you'd like! “This was Zildjian’s first Rover experience and it couldn't have gone better. Leanna was great and allowed me the opportunity to test put how he would do with a shorter than usual stay (4 hours). She was very accommodating and communicative. I could tell he liked her even though he starts out meeting new people a little in a vocal manner. He trotted right along side her into the house and the photos I saw of him playing with the other dogs showed me that he enjoyed his time. “I am new to the area, and Chelsie was very close by. She responded promptly and communicated clearly. I brought Riley over, and Chelsie kindly met me at the car. I was having some difficulty with the long lead, and Riley immediately went up to her as if they had known each other for a long time. When Riley heard the dogs barking inside the house, she led Chelsie to the door, which was quite charming. I realized I forgot to mention something to Chelsie, but she responded right away. On my way back to pick up Riley, I got caught in traffic, so Chelsie graciously brought Riley out to me, and Riley happily got into the car without any issues. After we returned home, I noticed that Riley's card was filled out, and there was a detailed note, along with photos of Riley's day, showing that she had gone for a walk and played with her dogs. Overall, I would rate the experience as excellent, and Riley will definitely be visiting again.”

About: My husband and I are former dog foster parents and love meeting/spending time with new dogs! We have two resident (foster fail!) dogs: Ace, a shy pitbull who LOVES other dogs and Tesha, a rambunctious tripod who LOVES people. We especially love older dogs in our house but are open to dogs 1 year and up. We have a fully fenced in backyard and a tie out available for outside play time. We have space to keep dogs separated if you have a dog that is shy or needs very slow introductions (we have a three level home). Our resident pups are allowed on our bed if they choose, but we have plenty of dog beds around too, and we do not allow them on our couch. We will do our very best to accommodate your pups needs and keep you updated on how your four legged family member is doing while you are away! I currently work from home and am able to take breaks to allow potty and attention breaks. My husband is also home most of the time and will be available when I am not. We like to do slow introductions to other dogs to ensure the comfort of our resident dogs and the visiting pups. We have the space to crate or allow roaming on separate levels if needed.

“We were a bit anxious to leave our fur baby for an extended time - 9 days- when we went on vacation. I couldn’t imagine him being happy in a kennel with 100s of other dogs. That is why I’m so glad we discovered Rover and in particular Cheyann & Nicole. They were ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL with our little Ranger and treated him as if he was their very own. Each day we received pictures and texts about how his day was going and how he had adjusted to making friends with the other dogs that Cheyann was watching. It was obvious he was having fun and was being well cared for. I would definitely recommend Cheyann if you are looking for someone to watch your fur baby.”

The whole process was super easy and after the meet and greet I left feeling 100% confident that bubba would be in great hands. Then traveling back home from Sioux Falls, we get hammered by blizzard conditions. The last 20 miles before finally giving up, I could barely see the lines on the road, let alone any cars in front of me. So we pulled off and checked in to a hotel. Thankfully Margarita was SUPER understanding and reassuring. I was in a bit of a panic worrying about this and that, and the fact that Loki didn't have to be one of those worries was a huge relief. When we finally made it back the next day I could tell he wasn't super thrilled about leaving, which is always what you want to see. (And with that massive yard, I can't blame him!)
