About: Hello everyone! My name is Shelly, and I’m excited to care for and work with your beloved pets. I grew up on a dairy farm, where caring for animals wasn’t just a chore—it was a way of life. From milking cows to raising chickens and pigs, and always having a dog and numerous cats around, animals were at the heart of my daily routine. Those early experiences taught me responsibility, consistency, and the importance of attentive, compassionate care. Today, my husband and I run a small hobby farm of our own, where we care for horses, chickens, our beloved dog Luna, and many kitties. Animal care continues to be a central part of my life and is something I truly enjoy. I have also completed additional training and worked extensively with my own horses and dogs. Having been around animals my entire life, I have experience providing a wide range of care, including assisting with livestock deliveries (calves and swine), administering medications, and caring for animals with medical needs, including those associated with aging. Currently, I am home full-time and available 24/7 from June through August, which allows for a very flexible schedule. I return to my full-time position during the last week of August. At that time, my availability will vary, with weekends generally offering the most flexibility. From September through June, my regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. I am committed to working with pet owners to accommodate their needs as best as possible and will do my utmost to ensure your pets receive the care, attention, and consistency they deserve. My pets are part of my family, and I provide them with the highest level of care, love, and attention possible. Their well-being is one of my top priorities. When caring for someone else's pets, I treat them as if they were my own because I understand how much our animals mean to us. I also recognize how important we are to our pets and that being separated from their owners can sometimes be stressful for them. About: I have been an animal lover my entire life! I treat my cats like they are my children and I would do anything for them! I would take care of your fur babies as if they were my own! I also love dogs, I've had many dogs in my family growing up. I don't have the living space needed for a dog while living in an apartment. I would definitely have one if I were able! Also, while dog walking, if there's another dog near and the you're dog seems uncomfortable or threatened, I would move to the other side of the street or walk the other way to remove ourselves from the situation.
