About: I've had pets my entire life and am well aware of the dedication, discipline, and love it takes to care for cats and dogs alike. I have vast experience with extra mini, small, medium, and large dogs; puppies and older dogs; and cats and kittens. Friends and family have relied on me to walk, wash, train, feed, and care for their pets for multiple days at a time. I recently have been exposed to training dogs to be mental health service dogs, so I am well aware of the necessity to keep them on a disciplined schedule and regime while still allowing them to play and be puppies! I currently have a flexible schedule that allows me to care for pets throughout the day and evening, including long walks and play time. I am also available for overnight stays. About: Experience volunteering at local cat cafe and caring for friends/family’s pets. About: Large Animal Science graduate, have completed the vet tech, dog grooming, and agility courses at BCAHS. Experience with diverse/exotic animal caretaking rolls, canine cpr certified, lots of experience with difficult dog breeds. My schedule with work is very flexible. Usually I tend to walk my dog for a 1-2 hours a day. It is extremely important that my dog Nala gets exercise each day to make sure she stays happy and healthy. Sometimes I also take my cat on the walks as well (he loves spending time outside with his sister with his harness and leash on!). Weekends have much more flexibility with my schedule. It is extremely important to make sure that any animal feels comfortable in their environment. Giving them the opportunity to take bathroom breaks and keeping pets on their normal schedule is very important. Giving pets access to fresh drinking water, specific foods, and medications as needed is also crucial. Providing proper exercise and mental enrichment only helps to further improve an animal’s experience in their surroundings as well.
