“Victoria did an absolutely amazing job watching our young puppy. She sent the best updates that kept us reassured he was having a wonderful time. She clearly loves dogs and cares about taking great care of them, I felt completely at ease knowing he was in great hands. I already have another booking with her and would recommend her to anyone looking for a great sitter!”

“Laura was able to watch our dog for us last minute. Pickup and drop-off were smooth and easy and she was excellent about keeping us updated and sending photos. I would definitely board with her again.”

“Great communication and flexibility, beautiful home, and well cared for pets of their own made me feel at ease with leaving Maeve for a week (the longest ever!). Highly recommend their services!”

“SHANNON IS AWESOME! I just moved to Michigan so I didn’t know who I could trust to watch my dog. Shannon sent me frequent updates and reassured me that Naya was having a perfectly good time with her! Naya was sad to leave! Will absolutely continue to book Shannon!:)”

“Our dog had a great time. He looked comfortable the moment we dropped him off. We received lots of communication and pictures throughout. They clearly are very enthusiastic and caring for the pets they look after. Will definitely use them again.”

About: I've had and helped care for many different animals since I was a child including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, and chickens. We have 2 little boys in our home as well as a laid back newfoundland dog and 2 cats. Can administer medicine if needed and will try every trick in the book if needed to make it happen. I work part time from home so I will be home almost 24/7 besides the occasional errands. Animals can be with me as much as they would like. Dogs can be taken out and walked as often as needed. Animals can be allowed the run of the house or we also have a seperate downstairs area when some alone time is preferred or needed. Cats can be enclosed in a large quiet room with a tall gate if they prefer with seperate litter box. Crates are available for use upon request.
“Beth took excellent care of our dog, Ellie. She sent pictures and replied to our texts promptly. This is the first time in 6 years, since we adopted Ellie, that we have left her. After the meet and greet we had no problems leaving her with Beth”

“Marty and her family were truly outstanding. This was the first time I left my dog with anyone other than family, and she filled that void. She provided frequent communication of his acclimation to her house and family, along with updates of activities she had planned for him. My dog left Marty's happy and relaxed. Very thankful for Marty; we will be back!”

“Andrew and his wife always take great care of my dog. My dog is a covid pound puppy. He was born during covid and never properly socialized then dropped at the pound. He does not get along with other dogs at all and is very skittish with people. He runs right into Andrew's home like it's his own. I feel so much better knowing he's not terrified at a kennel but in a warm quiet home. Plus they send the cutest pics!”

“Diane took wonderful care of Rosie for us. You can tell she truly loves caring for fur babies. Her very large fenced in back yard is wonderful for safe outdoor play time. She texted pictures and responds very quickly to texts which gave me great piece of mind knowing our pup was in good hands while we were away. We will definitely use Diane in the future!”

“Brittany was super sweet to our doggy. Always communicating with us, sending us photos, and keeping us updated. We are so grateful that Luca could stay with her, happy and safe while we were a part of a wedding this weekend. We are so happy and highly recommend her to take care of your pups.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Jess. From our first meeting, I immediately felt comfortable leaving my baby with her. Her family is so warm and welcoming, and I love that she only takes one family at a time. I received pictures every night about my baby’s day. He was so happy and cared for that. I thought he might not want to come home with me. You will not be disappointed when you use Jess.”

“We had never used a dog sitter before. Joni was great - very easy to work with and made us feel comfortable. Our dogs had a great time and they were very well taken care of. We highly recommend Joni.”

“It was our first time booking with Toni. She gave a great, detailed overview of her boarding facilities and answered all of our questions. She was very warm and kind. We were particularly impressed by how clean her kennels were and the fact that the space was nicely air conditioned. She responded to messages quickly while we were away. We would definitely use her again. Very professional!”

“Taylor and family are always such a blessing for us! I know I can always leave our fur baby with them and feel 100% confident that she is in great hands! Taylor provides continuous updates and pictures throughout our pet’s stay giving us constant peace of mind :)”

“Barbara and Dirk and Zoe were amazing! They welcomed Oliver into their home with love and affection. He was so comfortable and at ease with them. He settled right in and quickly became part of their household. They send me photos and updates while we were gone and I could see he was happy and relaxed with them. We highly recommend them we will definitely leave Olie with them when we need to travel in the future. They are the best!💕”

Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
