“I have a dog that gets nervous with new people and typically takes a while for her to gain trust and begin to bond with them. Astra came and walked her a few times before my trip, and hung out with her before hand to help with that. I was really surprised to see my dog cuddling and relaxing so early into the trip. I believe she works really hard to gain that trust, but she must have a trusting energy because my dog felt very safe around her. I got multiple pictures every day and an update as to how my dog was doing. I had a few small around the house things I asked her to do while I was already away, and she took care of them no problem. It’s always a little scary bringing someone into your home while you’re away, but I trust her with my home and dog. I will be using her again, and recommend everyone to use her as well.”

She was also great about giving him a few different meds (oral and nasal) and keeping him on routine. Our house was just as clean as we left it and she even put away an order of dog food that arrived earlier than expected. We travel a lot and Brooke will be our go-to sitter for our future trips!”

All 3 of our girls loved her as soon as she walked in the door for the meet and greet and even though they can be kind of overwhelming, she was enthusiastic and excited about coming to take care of them. She sent daily pictures and updates with how they were doing and was really accommodating when we needed her to stay a little later than originally planned. She even vacuumed and tidied up before she left! We really couldn't be happier with the wonderful care she provided for our girls and we will definitely be contacting her for any future needs! “Hello, I am writing this in regards to Alexis R. and why she would make a great candidate/member of the Rover team. I would like to first start off with the fact that Alexis Rague has grown up her entire life with dogs (and pets). There has not been a day where she has not interacted with a dog in some way. Growing up, she usually had two dogs around her, sometimes three. She would always wake up in the morning and take them for walks, sometimes she would do it later in the evening after work, but she'd always make sure they go their exercise. She also knows when not to walk a dog. She can usually tell when they're tired or sore and then will judge accordingly on what walk to take them or to not take them for a walk at all so they don't get more injured. Aside from that, she is super friendly with all kinds of dogs. She grew up with so many different breeds that she has become comfortable with all types of breeds. She currently has a Corgi which she has raised since it was a puppy, and she takes care of her dog very well. When it comes to customer service, Alexis R. has been working in the catering, food and restaurant service for many years. She is accustomed to dealing with customers and making sure that the customer is taken care of, whether it's food service or just general inquiries from the guests. She was a sous chef which requires a lot of communication capability and she has proven she can communicate very well as she rose up the ranks to sous chef. What makes Alexis R. a great person is that she is very friendly to everyone around her. She knows her boundaries, can make fast decisions and is super fun to talk to. She's very helpful, especially when it comes to animals. She grew up on a farm, so she has a good work ethic. Overall, she's a very kind, responsible, hard-working individual who I think would be a very valuable addition to the Rover team.”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Emily! And I know my dog Enzo fully agrees! It was my first time using Rover, and I needed someone to watch my dog while I went to Egypt for 12 days. My family was no longer able to watch my pup & I knew kennels weren’t the right fit for my dog as he has a history that doesn’t always lend to making doggy friends. So I hopped on Rover for the most seamless, easy, & joyful process… Emily was the perfect fit & I imagine everyone who leaves their fur babies & homes with her feels that way. It’s typically really difficult for me to leave my dog, especially for 12 days, but knowing he was taken care of and being loved allowed me to be so present during my trip. It’s like I left my pup with family, but family who left truly wanted to care for & love my dog. And upon returning, my home was not only in perfect condition, it was better than I left it. Again, I simply cannot say enough wonder things about Emily. And I’m saying all of this as a childless millennial who treats & views their dog as their first born, lol!
