About: Hi there! My name's Kate, and I'm a dog lover through and through. I grew up with dogs and have 10+ years of experience dog sitting and walking (including overnight home stays and drop in visits). From play and enrichment activities, to going on walks, to being attentive and detail-oriented with meals, medicine, and wellbeing, I treat each dog I care for like my own with lots of affection and love. A bit of personal background: I am originally from Omaha and am trained as a professional opera singer. I received my Bachelor of Music from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, and my Master of Music from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. ln caring for dogs, I have often done in-home stays for out-of-town folks. If your dog is vaccinated and gets along with other dogs, they are also welcome to stay at my home with my family and me, and our friendly black Labrador Dani (we have a fenced back yard). Regardless of what service you need, I would prefer to first do a meet and greet with you and your dog if possible. That way we can go over sitting information and any questions so I can provide the best care possible. I am comfortable caring for multiple dogs at once, though depending on how many dogs you have, that may affect my fee. I have experience administering medicine to dogs with treats or meals. I am happy to send frequent photo and text updates, to make sure you're always in the loop and have peace of mind. Please feel free to send any questions my way. Thank you so much and best wishes, Kate My availability is quite open this June and July, except for a few days when I'm out of town. I can care for your dog any time of day. I have experience with and am comfortable staying in your home while dog-sitting. I am also happy to tend to any plants as well. My family and I have a fenced yard and a friendly black lab. I love sharing walks, and providing enrichment activities like “find the treat” or going to get a pup cup.
About: I love animals and have had one of my own in the past :) I really enjoy the outdoors especially going on walks and getting to know the city Hi, I am available to walk your pet(s) in the afternoons and/or evening! I am quite flexible so if you’re looking for a specific time just message me :) I am hyperaware during walks especially if my company is a furry friend! I look for pet friendly areas if going to parks or public areas
About: Hey! Thanks for checking me out. My name is Mark, and the morkie in the picture is my best friend and rescue pup Charlie. We both recently moved back in with my mother, who is thrilled to potentially start hosting more pups! Charlie spent the first year of his life in a crate, in a household that largely ignored him. While I'm grateful that this was the extent of his neglect, he didn't come out of it unscathed. In fact, he has the worst separation anxiety of any dog that I've ever owned! He also has a tough time dealing with dogs that are significantly bigger than him. That's why I decided to move back home and shorten my hours at work, so I can always be present for him. I've been looking after dogs since I was 14, and I've worked at two separate dog boarding and grooming salons across 5 years+. I am excellent with dogs of all breeds and sizes. If you're wanting to find a reliable, safe and trusted person to go above and BEYOND for the care of your pup(s), look no further! Whether you need a house-sitter for two weeks or just someplace safe to drop off your small dog for a day or two, I make it my top priority to put your mind at ease. I will send you daily updates, as well as multiple photos and videos of your pet(s) detailing their day and how they did! As a part-time, work-from-home call center supervisor, there are usually only a handful of moments each day that I'm required to sit at my desk. I have a senior position that allows me to take frequent breaks and delegate tasks, ensuring I am always attentive to my pup and household. I live in an extremely safe neighborhood in Northwest Omaha with a large, fenced in backyard. I have over 5 years of paid experience dealing with dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. I specialize in puppies and dogs with separation anxiety or high energy!
“Melissa is awesome! I needed a dogwalker last minute and she totally came to my rescue. She was beyond personable and professional, and I know my puppy enjoyed having Melissa come take him out for a midday stroll. She even practiced manners with him!! ?”

About: I've had and cared for pets my entire life. I've cared for dogs, cats, chickens, fish, ducks, snakes, a crab, hamsters, and rabbits, no partridge in a pear tree yet! I’m a graphic designer so I work from home. This mean I have very flexible availability to work from my clients home and give their pets a lot of extra love and care throughout the day. I also occasionally work on a farm but wouldn’t be away from my client’s pets for more than 4 hours. I am very thorough with my assessment and questions I ask when house/pet sitting at houses to make sure anything needed is available, or that I may be ready for any issue that may come up. I also LOVE to leave the house I'm sitting at better than I found it. My mother taught me at a young age how incredibly nice it is to return to a very clean house after a trip. It's a lovely gift I truly enjoy to give when I'm finished housesitting.
About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, especially large breeds like German Shepherds and St. Bernards, so I’m very comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I’m also a professional dog groomer with two years of experience, which has helped me understand dog behavior and care on a deeper level. I’m comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, temperaments and energy levels! I’ve dog sat for family and friends many times, handling feeding, walks, playtime, and making sure their pets feel safe and loved while they’re away. I treat every animal like they’re part of my family. I work 10-hour shifts with three days off each week, but I always make time to ensure your pets are well cared for, including walks, potty breaks, and attention. You can trust that I’ll treat your pets like my own and keep them happy, safe, and comfortable. I currently work part time and nanny on the side. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I work 9-5. I am usually available for sure Saturdays and Sundays. Tuesdays and Thursdays I nanny till 12 so I’m available anytime after that, but I always will find time to play, feed and let your dogs out to go potty! I will care for your pets as I care for my own. Animals hold a very dear place in my heart so I will treat them like my own and take care of them to my best abilities from walking them to playing with them outside.
“I could not be more pleased with Josie’s care. She really takes the time to get to know what her needs are and pays attention to how she reacts to certain situations and activities. Piper is usually a very timid dog with new people, but with Josie I know she will be in great hands and do not have to worry. She is also great at communicating how things went and any ideas she has for next time. Highly recommend Josie.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
