About: While I'm more used to cats, I do also love dogs. Have a dog with separation anxiety? I can keep them company for a while! I will be working part-time Monday-Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm. I will be available to watch your pets from 9:30 am-1:30 pm on those days (despite what options this site gave). On Saturdays and Sundays I'll be available from 3 pm-8 pm. If I am unable to watch a pet at any time, I will let you know ahead of time by at least a few days. I currently own a cat, Higgins, who is a big lovebug and fairly food motivated. I've been in charge of feeding him breakfast and dinner since we rescued him in 2015, along with scooping his litterbox. He's also needed nightly medication for some stomach issues, so I have experience giving him a pill. I can feed your pet, clean up after them whether they have a set schedule or not, and provide medication if necessary.

About: My whole life my parents have had dogs so I’ve grown up around dogs since I was an infant, this also means that they’ve had quite a few different puppies over the years and I have helped train them. I am the go to person for all of my friends and family. If they need someone to watch their pets while they’re gone I absolutely love seeing their animals and taking care of them and I treat everyone’s animals as if they’re my own and do the things that I would want others to do for my pets. During the school year, I work as a teaching assistant at an elementary school. This means that my summers are very open and free to watch others pets and give them plenty of love and attention. I care for pets in others homes as if they were my own pet, I will make sure to play with them and feed them and get them outside, but also just cuddle them if they like that and give them the space if they also would prefer that.

About: I’m reducing my current job schedule to part time as a mental health therapist in order to engage in my passions. With this in mind, I would love to direct my empathy, patience, and connection towards any animal(s). I currently own 3 cats and would want nothing but the best for them if I were to be away and so I will use this as my guide when keeping care of your pets. About: My name is Megan and I have a huge passion for taking care of animals! I previously worked at two veterinary clinic where I was the receptionist as well as a veterinary assistant. There I helped administer medical care to all kinds of animals including dogs, cats, lizards, birds and small rodents. In addition, I have volunteered at two animal shelters where I walked dogs not only for exercise but also to increase their chances of being adopted. This included cleaning the kennels, feeding, and making sure the dogs had water, as well as play time. I also have a 5 year old kitty named Mochi and a 3 year old kitty boy named Finn, they are both playful and full of energy. This means I'm also available to take care of your kitty needs! I really enjoy being around animals and love taking care of them 💗 I always always always send photo and videos of your fur babies ! I am currently working a full-time job in Rockville, MD but work from home two days a week. I’m away from the home around 9 hours on the days that I work in office. If you are okay with that I can always stay with your pet and of course let them out in the morning and of course multiple times in the evening with extra playtime, walks, and loads of snuggles or spending time together if your pup or kitty isn’t the snuggling type :) can do drop in walks in the evening after 5:00 pm or anytime on Mondays. I will make sure to ask in-depth questions about your pets behavior, schedule, diet etc. I am very observant and watchful of the pets I am taking care of whether that be when we are having one on one time or out in public on walks I.e. making sure that if they are giving signs of being over stimulated or feeling anxious or scared I do what I can to redirect and to make them feel and stay safe! I would love to meet your pet first if possible so they are familiar with me and that way I can gage both mine and the pets comfort level!

About: I grew up in a 6 cat household at one point, so I have the most experience working with cats, however I've cared for many family members dogs while they are away, such as my sister's very active 5 year old, blue heeler mix (Sora) that she has had since 2021. I am comfortable caring for, feeding, playing, and walking small to medium dogs. My schedule is pretty flexible and open at the moment as I am studying to take a board certified exam and applying to future positions within my field. I can assist in early mornings, midday or in the evenings. Unfortunately since I have two cats at home, I am unable to board other animals at our location. I am flexible and adaptive to caring for your pets in your home for drop in visits, depending on their discussed needs.

About: I’m knowledgeable in breed-specific needs and maintain consistency to keep them mentally and physically happy! I have previously taken dog behavior courses and am familiar with dog body language. I have worked with dogs of all sizes and ages! No dog is “too much!” I am comfortable with administering medications and providing grooming for long haired/high maintenance breeds. I have worked with puppies all the way up to senior dogs so I am comfortable handling all ages. I have a full-time job but am more than happy to fit time in to take care of your lovely fur baby. My typical shift is 8:00-4:30pm M-F. I have open availability on weekends to provide housesitting! If you are looking for constant care (pet cannot be left alone for 4 hours or more), I am happy to provide that however, I do charge a constant care rate if during the work week as I will need to take those days off and I will need to recoup lost salary. For constant care pets, I do require at least a month’s notice ahead of time so I can get that time off to accommodate. I will never take a sit if my work schedule cannot accommodate it—your pet’s care and safety is extremely important to me. I will work with you to decide if I am the right fit for your pet’s needs and routine. Nothing is worse than upsetting your pet’s routine and comfortability! I now offer drop-visits as well! This is great for people who might need someone to check in your fur baby a couple times a day but does not need around-the-clock needs. I am happy to drop in before work (8am) and can drop by after work! If you’re someone who works longer shifts, this is perfect for you! I am comfortable crating your pet if requested but they are also more than welcome to share a bed with me if they are used to sleeping with you! If you have an unfenced yard, I will keep them on leash at all times. If you have a fenced yard, I will stay out and monitor them until they are ready to come inside. Doors will be locked at all times whether I am in the home with your pet or if I’m at work. If you have any home-alarm systems, I will use them as well.

About: I have experience will all sorts of dogs & cats. I have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life and believe that they are just as important as my human family members! I am comfortable taking care of big & small dogs of any breed. I love to stay active and absolutely love taking dogs on walks or let them play in my fully fenced in yard! I pride myself in keeping your babies safe, and making them feel loved and at home when in my care. I am an Elementary Teacher, so I am available after 3:30pm M-F, and 24/7 Saturday and Sunday! About: Hi there, I’m Brittany. Animals make me happy. When I see a pet, I see a child. They are a member of the family. They have the sweetest souls and biggest hearts and I wouldn’t treat them any other way. I have one dog and I was raised with 3 dogs and 2 cats. I have always been an animal lover and I always will be. Every day I take my dog on at least one walk and many times I walk him multiple times per day. I treat my fur babies like family and how I would want to be treated. I am not only here to help you during your busy schedule but to become a friend to you and your fur baby. To house sit during longer durations, I can travel to anywhere. I would love to bring my golden retriever with me if your pets like to socialize and make new friends, he loves other dogs and gets along with them great, he is very social and has been to many dog parks and households with pets, but if not that is ok and my mom can help me care for him while I am gone. Also, I have a boyfriend that loves animals and has 2 children of his own, I would love if he could come hang out with me during my stay if the family was comfortable with it, but if not I can leave and visit him from time to time at his house. For drop in visits, I can assist at my base rate within a 7 mile radius and if it exceeds that I will ask for an additional rate to help with gas reimbursement towards a further commute. About: I’m Kourtni! I’m looking for a part time commitment taking care of your pet! I am new to Rover but I frequently watch friends pets. My whole life, animals have loved me. They’ve always preferred me over others. I’m great with dogs, cats, and small animals. I live in a manufactured home park, so I frequently can take your pet on walks and by the river with little to no traffic. I stock up on treats. I can administer medication to your pet. I’m not claiming to know everything there is to know about animals, all I know is I love them and care for them well and they love me! If you think I’d be a good fit for your animal please get ahold of me. :) As of 12/27/22: I am now only taking house sitting clients that are okay with me bringing my pet as well. He is potty trained, listens very well and has never been around a dog he doesn’t like. I’m an independent contractor and run my own small business, so I make my own schedule with my typical work life. Therefore, I can usually work around different schedules depending on every animals different needs. My pet is alone usually around 6 hours per day. I usually give him some snacks to keep him occupied. I do not have a fenced yard currently but hoping to at some point. Living in a park, I keep my dog on a 40 ft in ground leash, but while dog sitting I usually take the other dogs out on their walk leash.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 8, when I got my own puppy. With my family i have 2 dogs, a Beagle and a Puggle. Growing up, I also had a Yellow Lab. I have pet sat multiple times in the past few years, both overnight and daily check ins. I love dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes, and treat all dogs I encounter as if they were my own. I have a very open schedule that allows for me to pet sit at any time throughout the day, and any day of the week. I would not be able to care for pets in my own home, only in client’s homes. About: Hi there! Thanks for checking out my Rover profile. I do this as adjacent work to being a mental health clinician and donate a portion of my earnings to our local humane society. I was a holistic and emergency veterinary nurse for 7 years and worked in specialty medicine for 4 years as well. I have a lifelong passion for dog breeds and training in particular, as well as the herding and working groups. I enjoy taking lots of photos and providing thoughtful updates for my dog parents. I see each dog as an individual and give them the best kind of care given what I pick up from them and how I interact with them during our time together. I am comfortable administering medications as well as tending to special needs, behavioral, and medical issues. Please note: I do not offer boarding in my home at this time. Pet care is the sole focus on my time at home, so the pet care literally is the core of what I do (and everything else works around it!). I have 3-4 windows of time each day devoted to meeting the rotating care and exercise needs of the pets in my care. And I love doing it! I live in east Jackson, near the Waterloo Recreation Area. For dog walks, I offer dog walks and hiking at Waterloo. When caring for pets in your home, I ask that clients provide written instructions about any dietary or environmental restrictions or concerns as well as behavioral and health considerations I should take into account when caring for your pet.
