“Clara was exceptional!! Will book her again anytime we need a sitter! Exceeded our expectations!! Our dog Karma was treated like family and was wonderfully cared for the entire visit!! Thanks for everything!!”

“Pamela was flexible with the drop off and pick up times. She sent multiple updates to reassure us that it was going well, and mentioned how our dog was doing with the other dogs and people in the house. She was also diligent in asking about whether our dog had his vaccines in order to keep any dogs she had at the time safe and healthy, which goes both ways. We would have Pamela watch our dog again if needed!”

“Frances and her family were great! She sent pictures of Rocky playing with other dogs, sleeping, etc. This was our first time having Rocky stay with someone else that wasn't family. He loved it. He was completely worn out from playing with other dogs. Also, they had a terrific fenced in yard that was great for our pup to run and play! I plan to book with her in the future!”

“We had a great experience booking with Katherine. She was super friendly and our pups loved hanging out at their farm. Katherine sent us daily photos and kept us up to date on how they were doing. Willow, who is our sensitive pup, didn't want to leave and we could tell she was super happy with her stay. We will happily book with them in the future!”

“Tasha provided excellent care and communication throughout our 4-month old puppy's 10-day stay at her home. We received daily updates, photos, and often, videos. She monitored his eating and elimination behaviors, as well as ensuring he got out and played with the other dogs on a daily basis. We were very pleased and would not hesitate to choose Tasha for our next boarding need.”

“Our dogs came home exhausted and happy after their stay. 1 of our dogs can be a pain so an extra thanks for handling her for 2 full days while we had our wedding! Kaylee is the best!”

“Wow, what can I say… Jill ( & Sunny :))was amazing with our 4 yr old yellow lab, Callie! She was so loving and all about making a great experience for Callie. Her home was perfect and such a nice setting back near a nice river with a large yard with a fenced in area as well. Our dog could use her doggy door (once she got the hang of it ;) )and go outside to the fenced in yard and play/potty/whatever ….as she needed. Jill was great about taking walks, letting her swim in the river at her property, having playtime and providing constant attention and love. And her dog Sunny is so loving and was a great playmate for Callie. :). Such a reassuring feeling to have her with Jill while we traveled. Knowing she was getting constant attention, love, care, exercise, and play. I will never use a kennel or doggy care center again as long as Jill is available, thanks Jill ! :-)”

“Becky is kind, friendly, and professional. She sent lots of picture of my very happy dog. I am am so very happy with her service and highly recommend! Thank you thank you thank you”

“We are so lucky to have found Heather! She gives daily updates of our pets and sends videos and pictures, which makes our time away a lot less difficult. She truly cares about our pets!”

“Brenda is amazing. Our dog had a great time hanging out with other dogs, going to the dog park, and running around Brenda’s fenced property. Thanks also for the quick communication and pictures! We felt great while on vacation, knowing our dog was so well cared for and having so much fun! We won’t hesitate to ask Brenda if she’s available next time we travel. Many, many thanks to Brenda for a great service!”

“Absolutely amazing!!! She went so above and beyond with my boy, and I don’t think anyone has ever taken such good care of him while I have traveled! Absolutely will be booking again on my next trip!!!”

“Monica is everything we could hope for in a dog sitter. We use her whenever we leave town. She is always sending us updates and our pup loves staying with her and her dogs.”

“5 stars! So thankful for Amber who took our reservation at the very last minute when another booking was cancelled! Amber was easy to communicate with and she sent updates frequently. She was very accommodating with my 3 legged German Shepherd and I so appreciate that! I wasn't sure he would want to come home as he attached to her so well during his stay. She even sent him home with toys that he enjoyed while he was with her. How sweet! Will not hesitate to use her again. Thank you!!”

About: Hi! I’m Jennifer, and I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, loved, and cared for while their family is away. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit, or overnight care, I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, including giant breeds like English Mastiffs. I understand the unique needs of large dogs and am comfortable handling them with confidence, patience, and care. I also have experience providing compassionate care for senior dogs, including those who require a slower pace, extra attention, medication support, and plenty of comfort. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive to each pet’s individual personality and routine. I know how important consistency is, and I’m happy to follow feeding schedules, maintain established routines, administer basic medications if needed, and make sure your pet receives plenty of exercise, enrichment, and affection. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your furry family member is in caring, capable hands. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets and provide them with the same love and attention I’d want for my own. My career is a hybrid position. I am rarely gone more than six hours at a time. If I know that I am going to have your furry, four legged baby, I can schedule accordingly so I can be home a little more. I have a very large yard. We live on 3 acres. Our fur babies passed in December and January, so we do not currently have any pets. I allow dogs on the furniture and in bed, but if that is not something that you do and you would like me not to do that I can respect that as well.

“Anthony was fantastic to work with! Communication was great. He clearly knows a lot about dogs and is passionate about taking care of them as if they were his own. Highly recommend!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Lee home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Lee.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Lee sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
