âKendra was amazing with my dog Winter! She was a great house guest and cleaned up after herself and beyond. I got several pictures of Winter and prompt replies when I would check in. I will definitely use her every time I need someone to come stay.â

âMallory was wonderful with our high-anxiety dog, Scotty and our Holly. She was exactly what they needed and made us feel relaxed while we were away visiting family. Will definitely hire again.â

About: I've lived with animals my entire life. Growing up, we had five dogs, four cats, bunnies and guinea pigs, snakes and lizards, fish, and chickens. Currently, while living at home in the summers, we have snakes, lizards, spiders, a cat, and three dogs, one of which is mine. My dog Winston is a service dog in training that my mom and I are owner-training. While I'm in no way a professional trainer, I can help with teaching or maintaining the basics with any dog. I'm currently home for the summer from school and waiting on an application for a part-time job. I am free most of the day right now, as I haven't started working yet. So, I can come over and take care of any pet's needs most any time. I can take care of your animals' needs any time, whether it's taking them on a walk, letting them outside, feeding, cleaning up, or playing with them. My dogs at home are crate trained, so if your dog also stays in a crate at certain points of the day or night, I can easily crate them.
About: Hi, Iâm Ella, and pet care isnât something I just do, itâs a huge part of my identity and something I continue to explore as I pursue veterinary school! From the outgoing border collie to the chillest basset hound, Iâm ready to take on whatever your fur-baby needs! đ Schooling: Currently in undergrad pursuing a pre-veterinary degreeâspecializing in horses đť Experience: Ran a pet care business since I was in middle school in my neighborhood. Currently training and studying horsemanship! đ´ Critters: Horses, dogs, and cats I currently work as a horse trail guide and vet assistant. When Iâm available, I can take requests both in the early morning, afternoon, and nighttime. đĽ I treat every pet in my care with the same attention, compassion, and dedication that would give to my own pets. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while youâre away. Building trust with both pets and their owners is extremely important to me, and I strive to create a positive, stress-free environment where your pets can feel at safe.
âHaydn did a great job with my pup. She spent a ton of time with her playing and taking her on walks. I got updates and pictures throughout the time period. The house was in great shape when I got home and and very clean. I would definately recomment Haydn and use her again!â

âMy dogs love Bella! She gave them lots and lots of attention while she pet sit in our home. Bella took great care of my special needs gent, and gave my large, super active dog lots of extra exercise. I never had to worry about my dogs while I was away.â

âOur Chunks loved hanging out with Rowan! He got lots of excersize, love, and play time and is now sleeping peacefully because he had so much fun! Definitely will be using her again!â

âCourtney was very sweet and responded quickly to messages. There was a misunderstanding with her work schedule that she would not be in the home for 11 hours. I assumed she would come at lunch to let them out. Never assume - had to call neighbor to let dogs out 2 days as I did not want my dogs left that long without a potty break. Otherwise, all was good.â

âBella is AMAZING! My cat is obsessed with her. I had peace of mind knowing Bella was taking such great care of him while I was out of town. I fully trust Bella and highly recommend!â

âFirst time user of Rover, and we love Sydney! Our dogs loved her, which one of our dogs is not a fan of strangers. But he approved so much that he jumped up and cuddled next to her immediately. Which DOES NOT happen! She was thorough with asking questions. We will be using Sydney again!â

âWe have high energy dogs. Jeremy came over ahead of time for a meet and greet so they could get to know him. That was important because one of our dogs will nip if he doesnât know you. He needs that introduction. They both took to him and snuggled in for Jeremyâs stay.â

About: I think something, I can proudly say is that I have people meet me once and trust me to watch their pets. Iâve had pets and I have taken care of friends and families pets since I was 12. Truly bonding with my pets was the highlight of my childhood, an experience that I know not every child is fortunate to have. Iâve seen my dog from puppyhood to his frosty senior days. The care is different of course, diets and lifestyle routine slow down and more careful attention is needed. Love is another key, all animals are deserving of being treated with respect and kindness. That includes the animals in the forest, since I work outdoors I see a lot of birds and critters and each oneâs life is valued and admired. Like my job, the environment of the pet is important. Keeping the food and water bowl clean, is something I find some families neglect but I find that to be a little disheartening as you would not like to drink out a dirty water glass Services offered * 30 Minute Dog Walks include a fun stroll around your neighborhood or a nearby trail to give your pup the exercise fresh air, and mental stimulation they need during the day * ďťżďťż30 Minute Drop-Ins include potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and of course plenty of snuggles to keep your pet happy and comfortable while you're away * ďťżďťżBasic House-Siting include staying overnight with your pup so they have company and comfort in their own home, along with daytime care every 4-6 hours for potty breaks, meals, playtime, and cuddles I currently work outdoors for Ice Age Trail Alliance, and unable to commit to the time for a long term companion, however I have just enough time to spoil and love on other peopleâs adorable pets :) Truly, the most important aspect of pet care is the establishing the safety and security of your pet. The initial meeting with your pet, getting familiar and making sure the pet feels like they can trust their caretaker is crucial. That establish trust between caretaker and pet, allows me to ensure the best case scenario for your pet. Whether it be, trusting you on a walk or worse case scenario luring your pet from under the bed or loosing the lead for a second. I offer comfort of house sitting or walking your pet to ensure their routine is uninterrupted. :)
About: I have been a CVT for 18 years, actively working at an emergency/specialty clinic. I can care for all ages and sizes of dogs and cats. I have a part time job that is flexible, my main focus is pet care and services. I am available most days and hours. I am pet sitting or caring for pets on a daily basis. I will utilize your house to care for your pets so they are more comfortable and less stressed. I will follow your daily routines to keep them feeling secure.
âDominique completed his second house sit for my two pups (6 nights) and we continue to endorse him as a qualified / reliable sitter! Communication again proved to be consistent. Water bowls were full and my house was just how I left it. My large dogs are prone to acting out if they do not get enough attention (especially over long periods). It was great coming home and not seeing any indication of unsatisfied pups. Fully recommend!â

About: From a young age iâve always loved animals, having grown up with 4+ animals in the house at all times i learned very quickly my love for animals. i have worked at 2 vets in the past and 2 doggy daycares, those jobs showed me how much i really wanted to care for animals, and while im out of work id still like to give my time to helping people out and making dogs happy with walks and play time and company, i have cared for dogs weighing from under 10 pounds all the way to almost 200 pounds, i do have some experience with administering medication orally and with a needle if needed. i cared for my elderly cat in the past and my elderly dog now, ive given insulin shots and given pills, i am more than comfortable handling that, by putting the pill in a small treat nine times out of ten they donât even notice itâs in there! i know what the feeling is like to have to leave your animals behind when you go on vacation or wherever, but i would love to make them feel happy and loved while your gone! i care for all animals the way i would care for my own pets. my schedule is open now so even if you have a puppy who needs extra potty breaks iâm available to come up to every 2-3 hours if needed. iâm really flexible and can work with everyone at the moment i am not working so this actually works out very well with me im relatively open for pet care:) i just have a few scattered doctors appointments throughout the week in my clients home I will make sure to follow any rules and or guidelines that are expected of the animals and myself obviously as I am in someone elseâs home..

FAQs for House Sitting - Lebanon
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 561 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lebanon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lebanon walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lebanon maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lebanon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lebanon. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
