“Carol is outstanding. She is the perfect dog sitter for Ruby, my Chihuahua mix. Her experience with dogs shows in her handling and confidence with them. I highly recommend her. I was so glad to find her on Rover. Thanks again, Carol.”

“Jennifer and her dog Ale are so nice. Her place is perfect for puppies. She was very attentive with my injured pup and communicated very with her well being. I highly recommend her.”

“My dog has the best time with Matthew! He takes excellent care of her, and they go on daily walks. They also have fun playing fetch and constantly burn off her energy. Matthew works exceptionally well with puppies, and I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a dog sitter. Thank you for taking care of Suki, it is more than appreciated!”

About: I’ve cared and watched dogs and cats for several years, including drop-in services, house sitting and boarding. I have also owned cats and dogs almost my entire life and love spending time around them. I work full time, but have summers and holidays off and free every weekend. During summers and weekends I can do several drop ins as well as sit for several days in a row. I have a large fenced back yard where dogs can run, I don’t currently have any pets of my own so the dog or cat will get 100% of the attention. If watching at your home, being respectful of the home, cleaning up after the pet and myself if any messes, leaving the home just as when I first entered.
“Britney was amazing with my doggies, very friendly and kind. I definitely recommend her for your doggies and I felt safe leaving them with her. She was very prompt and kept me updated with pictures. I will definitely use her again”

“Poor David! And poor Ziggy! Our pup got sick over the weekend. (Not the fault of the family; he only ate what we sent.) We were kept informed how he was doing and were able to head home a little early. It's a holiday or we'd be at the vet right now. P.S. Thirty percent is the maximum Rover tip even for above and beyond service!”

About: I have one dog, Luna, and I have experience taking care of her, also other dogs I have watched from my siblings Rover. I am caring and kind. I have plenty of time for it. Right now I am at home transferring out of doing a church mission. I am excited to start pet sitting! I treat them like I would my own dog Luna, and I respect them and make sure their needs are taken care of. I make sure they are safe as well.
“Nicole did an outstanding job watching June. June had a blast running around her farm, playing with her dogs, and swimming in her creek. June was so happy there that she didn't want to leave! I would HIGHLY recommend Nicole for watching your pet if you are ever in the area. Thanks Nicole!”

“I could not be more pleased with our experience! Carol took special care of our dogs' unique needs and personality despite having multiple types of dogs at her home. He was obviously so happy being there! Will book again!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Cooper! She and her kids loved on him, played with him, and took him on walks during his 4-night stay. It was so comforting knowing he was being treated like part of the family. We came home to a happy, well-loved pup. We highly recommend her! ❤️🐾”

I'm currently working from home and have a small fenced yard. My furbaby is 8 years old, around 70 pounds and gets along well with everyone. “Kaila was responsive to a last minute booking request for the following day and communicated quickly and frequently. Havi stayed for a night and had a great time socializing with Kaila's dogs and playing with their toys. We received lots of pictures and updates! Kaila clearly loves her pets and makes sure visiting pets are welcome and cared for. When Havi was being picky about breakfast Kaila hand-fed her to get her started. Kaila was honest about Havi slipping out the front door, but they immediately got her back inside. She also took the time to introduce us and Havi to her dogs one by one and show us her home, ask questions about Havi, etc. Havi was conked out when she came home and in good spirits!”

“I highly recommend Liz. She was wonderful beginning to end. I made a reservation with her pretty last minute and she was incredibly accommodating. She sent several updates while we were away from our pup. Our dog is VERY high energy, and Liz handled him well. He had plenty of opportunities to play and he was a content boy when I picked him up. I could tell he was well cared for. Liz and her family are great and she is at the top of my list next time we need a sitter.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Le Grow home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Le Grow.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Le Grow sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
