“Catherine was such a relief after a number of bad experiences with cat sitters who forgot to come or forgot the care needed for our cats. Catherine is very professional, left simple and timely notes about our kittie’s status after each visit, and left us feeling assured of their well-being. I will definitely be looking to book Catherine again!”
“Alex was amazing at watching our cat for a week while we were away. She was extremely responsive and communicative and took great care of our kitty. We would definitely seek Alex’s help again!”

“Candice is amazing! My dog can be a little difficult because of his arthritis but Candice took care of him with ease. Very caring and loving towards him. Great pictures and report card after each visit. I highly recommend her! Thanks so much, Candice!”

About: While I don't own a dog, I have been around them all my life, and have never know i dog I didn't love, or didn't love me. Rover has opened doors for me to meet and relate to new people and pets. I am a supervisor at my job and i also am in school as a grad student, so i take responsibility very seriously. As a dog sitter, I view this as an oppurtunity to connect with different people and of course animals. Also, forcing me to get outside and be more active! I would like to be able to walk your dog, complete check ins, and house sit. Unfortunatley, as much as I would like to, I cannot dog board with my current living status. My schedule is very tight, so I do have to limit myself to the number of clients I take on. The more time advance a booking is offered, the more I will be able to adjust my schedule to meet those requirements. I care to the standards of the pet owners, and frequently send pics an updates as well as I ask questions when necessary. I also do my best to go above and beyond when i can!

“Dee Dee was a fantastic sitter. My cat immediately warmed to her, and she was very attentive to her needs. I enjoyed getting report cards to let me know how it was going; they put a big smile on my face every day. Was a huge relief knowing that my cat was safe and cared for.”

“Katelyn is awesome!! She was really friendly with our dog Chief. He loved her. She was very prompt on her visits and she’s a great communicator. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Brianne, was prompt, responded quickly and capture the best a pictures. She was able to make a last minute adjustment to the schedule I appreciate her and will definitely book again.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life and truly love spending time with them. I have two dogs of my own and have experience dogsitting multiple dogs at once, including a 15-year-old dog with severe arthritis, so I understand the patience and gentle care senior dogs need. I’m extremely reliable, active, and will always make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away! My schedule is very flexible this summer! I occasionally babysit for family friends and work lacrosse tournaments some weekends, but I am free and available for walks, drop-ins, overnight stays, and pet sitting throughout the week! I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. In their home, I try to follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including their feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions I receive from their owner. I make sure to give them lots of attention, exercise, and cuddles while also keeping the owners home clean and secure. My goal is to help all fur babies feel relaxed and cared for while their owners are away!
“Dymond took absolutely fantastic care of Justin. She is thorough, asks great questions, and you can tell she genuinely cares. I received a detailed Rover Card each day with the cutest pics, which put my mind at ease while leaving my kitty at home for a week. We will be rebooking the next time we are away and cannot recommend Dymond enough!”

“Stephanie is the absolute best cat/house-sitter ever! Since I booked Stephanie on Rover last year, she’s my first (and only) call I make for pet care. I fully trust her with my kitties and my home, and you should, too :)”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since college and have raised my own kittens and puppies into adulthood. I volunteered for two years at BARCS Animal Shelter in Baltimore, where I worked as a dog walker for dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments. Through that experience, I learned how to read pet body language, handle shy or anxious pets, and provide calm, consistent care. I treat every pet as if they were my own and prioritize their comfort, safety, and routine. I work remotely, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. Because of this, I can accommodate regular walks, drop-ins, playtime, and overnight care without long periods of pets being left alone. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine and provide updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I prioritize safety, trust, and communication in every booking. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding schedules, medications, and household routines. In clients’ homes, I’m respectful of their space and ensure pets are secure at all times. I keep doors and gates locked, supervise pets during walks and playtime, and provide regular updates with photos so you always know how your pet is doing.
About: I have never met an animal that I didn’t love. I have had pets since I was young and have sitted for a variety of families. What sets me apart from other sitters is that I have cared for many high demand pets. I’ve cared for young, old, sick, violent, and special needs animals. I feel confident in knowing how to handle almost any type of animal situation. I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, and fish. I’m open to embracing any-type of pet. I work a part time job at a golf course a few times a week. My schedule is very flexible and my shifts are no more than 7 hours long. I am able to switch things around to accommodate the needs of your pet. I always make sure to arrange some type of meet and greet with the pets before coming into a clients homes. This way the animals can feel more safe once I come into their home. Additionally, I always make sure to go over any routines and/or schedules with clients so that I can maintain stability and consistency for the pets.

“Amy was very timely to all of the drop-in visits for my pup, Stevie. She also sent me great photos and updates through out the day. I will continue to use Amy for my upcoming vacations.”

“Mary is a true professional and exemplary at her job. Clearly loves what she does. I felt so confident in her taking care of our cats while we were on vacation. Her execution and detailed reports give me peace of mind and she even watered our tomato plants, brought in our mail, and took the garbage to the curb. Her photos were adorable and I enjoy that she took time to play with them and earn their trust. Cannot recommend her more.”

Laytonsville pet parents share their Rover experiences
James is so kind and gentle with my senior yorkie. He’s very knowledgeable and reliable. He asked all the questions he needed in order to make sure he understood what Billy (my dog) needed in case he got sick or anxious. He sends pictures of my dog and gives me a quick report of how Billy is doing. I absolutely recommend him to everyone!
