“Summer had a great daycare experience with Jessica. 🤍 She kept me updated with photos, and seeing him looking so relaxed and happy made me feel at ease. It was also nice to know he enjoyed spending time with her dogs.”

“Took great care of my dog! She has her own large Great Dane who had a lot of fun with mine (about 50 lbs, a pit mix) and a Boston Terrier she was watching for someone else. Huge size differences but they all had fun together!”

“I initially wanted to hire her to walk Koda twice daily. I’m glad she suggested he go to her place for doggy day care. I can tell he is having a blast. The family is very friendly. They’ve just earned a regular customer.”

“Bud had a good day. This was his first doggy daycare, and it was a positive experience for Bud and his family. Haylie kept me updated throughout the day; she was kind and seemed to really enjoy taking care of him. It was nice for him to also have time with her golden doodle and child. Thank you Haylie”

“Great communication, very flexible with my crazy schedule. They obviously love the dogs they work with Virgil recognizes their road and is so excited to go to day care! Will recommend to anyone I know needing dog care and will be using them again!”

“Mary was amazing from the jump! I am new to the area and was worried about sending my dog off with someone I didn’t know but Mary immediately put me at ease. She asked questions, provided clarity, and wanted to make sure my dog and I were comfortable with everything. Would love to use her again!”

“Millie took wonderful care of my pup, PuPu! I’m usually nervous about leaving him with someone new since he has separation anxiety, but she really put my mind at ease. Her lovely outdoor space was perfect for the dogs, and she sent pictures of PuPu having fun with her dog, Toby. When I picked him up, he looked happy, relaxed, and clearly had a great time. I would absolutely recommend Millie and will definitely book with her again!”

About: My dad is a veterinarian, I am very lucky since that allows me to know how to vaccinate animals and even suture an emergency wound, what to do in cases where a puppy is fading due to its consumption of some food or to act in case of poisoning I am currently working part time that allows me to take care of and play with your pet after 3 in the afternoon during the week and also on weekends The neighborhood is very quiet and we have nearby parks if you want me to take your dog to one, in winter we could look for options to protect your dogs pads from the snow and the cold

“Cannot say enough good things about Lesly and Josh! They took such special care of my Lily. They were able to work with me and be flexible when I was stuck at work and couldn’t collect her right away. You can tell they truly care about the babies in their care ♥️”

“This was my second time with her! As always, she was attentive and caring. Strangely my fur baby eats well with her despite him being a picky eater. It feels really secured to have a day care where I can trust with confidence. Will continue to use her service going forward!”

“Melissa was great with our pup. He loves her. She has two fun-loving and playful dogs that our dog really liked, as well. Melissa has a clean home and spacious backyard. We will definitely come back.”

“Nadia is super sweet, and she took care of my Percy as if he was her own. I received photos from him during his stay. She and her husband were great. I will definitely recommended and will book a doggy day care with them again. Thank you Nadia!!!”

“Carole is overall a wonderful person. Loved interacting with her and she was also great with our puppy. My puppy is not an angel all the time since she is still learning, but Carole had great patience and understanding with her. Played with her plenty of time that she came home exhausted and slept past her dinner time. I highly recommend her if you had any doubts and your cherished baby will be in great hands.”

About: I grew up on a farm, so I have spent most of my life caring for pets. I currently own one dog named Mackey. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet and give them the attention they need. Please Note: I do not accept pets that are not crate trained and potty trained. I work from home so my schedule is flexible and I can use that opportunity to provide plenty of walks and breaks as needed for your pet. Our normal walks occur twice a day in the morning and in the evening with intermittent outside breaks throughout the day. My current dog is indoors. All pets staying at my home will be indoors with A/C and access to plenty of water, food and toys.
“Savannah takes such great care of our dog he actually cries when he has to leave! He bolts out of the car and loves being with her. She takes wonderful care of him, he's a very happy pup!!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
