“This is the second time we have used Sarah and it won’t be the last! She helped me out for a very last minute trip I needed to take and saved me a lot of trouble. My dogs also look so happy in the pictures! Thanks Sarah!”

“Jillian drops in daily to let my pups out to play and is amazing with them. She helps train and allows them much needed mid day exercise. Very responsive and communicates well. Trustworthy in home while away. My go to pet sitter.”

“Marissa did an amazing job! She showed up exactly when she said she would, spent quality time with the pups, and sent plenty of updates and pics of her visit with them. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I have had the joy of loving dogs ever since I was about 5 years old! By only a few short years afterwards, I was given the privilege of taking care of our family dogs through feeding them regularly, letting them outside to go potty, and taking them on walks for exercise! I am not only patient with little puppies while potty training but also bigger doggies who need a little more attention every now and then! I currently have a very free schedule so I am able to tend to your personal household’s needs more specifically! I have a few things throughout every week and am available for overnights most everyday of the week with some time away Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings. I pay close attention to my pets’ needs and make sure they are comfortable and well-fed. When my dog Cosmo gets upset sometimes he just needs to be paid attention to and I don’t mind loving on him when he needs it! I am attentive to his needs by letting him out when he needs to go potty, or freshening up his water when he needs it!

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 10 years old. Family, friends, neighbors, and strays. I have a love for pet of all kind. I have feed, walked, and played with them. I work full-time during the school year and want to add pet care to what I do during the school year and during the summers. During the school year I fit it in on the weekend. During the summer I have much more availbility. I take care of my clients pets by checking and refill food and water, exercise and attention. I do not bathe pets, But I do walk, play, and talk to them. Giving them the love and attention they need.
“Kerry was amazing as always! I asked her very last minute for a same day drop in and she was able to help me out! She always sends lots of pictures and is great with my crazy doggos!❤️”

“Angelica was amazing! I will be rebooking her every time. It was such a relief knowing Arlo was in his own home and being cared for so well, with the playing, walks, just hanging out with him. I really appreciate it all!”

“Tatiana was great with our fur babies. We had her drop in 2 times a day so they could go out to the bathroom. Always on time and spent time with them both. End up had to be out of town 1 extra night and she even took care of them till I was able to get back home. She will be my drop in sitter next time we go out of town.”
About: I’ve been caring for dogs nearly my entire life—whether they were my own or beloved pups of other dog parents. This lifelong experience has taught me how to truly understand and connect with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I treat every dog like family, always aiming to make them feel safe, loved, and happy—whether we’re going for a walk, playing fetch, or just relaxing together. My instinctive, hands-on care sets me apart and gives dog parents real peace of mind. Pet care fits perfectly into my schedule because I already spend most of my time with my two dogs and one cat. About: Semi-retired dog lover with a lot of time for play, walks, and many cuddles. Caring, dependable, and dedicated to keeping your pup's tail wagging happily! I’m semi-retired and work from home, so pet care fits perfectly into my day. I take regular breaks for walks, playtime, and cuddles, making sure each pup feels loved and engaged. Though my profile shows my beautiful Jersey Girl, she does not live with me. She lives with my son, her best friend ever! So I do not have any other pets in my home and look forward to spoiling yours :) I live in a quiet, gated community that’s perfect for relaxed walks and fresh air. My home is calm, clean, and pet-friendly, with plenty of space for lounging and playtime. Dogs are welcome to make themselves comfortable and feel right at home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Laurel Hill stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Laurel Hill. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
