About: I have two dogs of my own and I would like to help and provide that relieve to others. I want to be that person. I’m currently in summer break and would like to help during my time off. I know how it feels to have to go to work and leave your dogs home. I want to provide that sense of relieve that their pet will be okay. Since I will be doing visits, I would first ask the person for any specific rules they may have for their pet. I would follow the steps they provide.

About: I’ve always had a soft spot for animals and cannot imagine my life without them. Since I have a territorial kitty at home, I usually take care of, groom, and look after my partner’s and family members’ pets! It’s been a great way to care for other animals and get to know their needs and personalities. Over the years, I’ve learned what helps pets feel safe and happy, whether it’s feeding, grooming, or just creating a calm, loving environment. I’m dependable and always ready to offer plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. Besides, I could never turn down extra cuddles! ◡̈ I have flexible availability, especially in the evenings and on weekends. I’m also happy to try to make weekday visits work when possible, so feel free to reach out and ask. I really value being reliable and consistent, and I always do my best to work around your pet’s routine. Whether it’s taking them on walks, spending time playing, or just keeping them company, I want your pet to feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. 🐾 When I care for pets in their own home, safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I make sure everything is secure; double-checking doors and gates to keep your pet safe. I stick to their usual routine as much as possible, whether it's feeding, walks, or playtime, so they feel comfortable and relaxed. I also make sure to give them plenty of love and attention, but I’m always mindful of their space and boundaries. Communication is important to me, so I’ll send you updates and make sure you’re in the loop while you’re away. Your pet’s well-being is my main focus, and I do everything I can to make sure they feel happy and cared for in their own environment.

2nd time booking with Desiree and it was just as great of an experience as the first time. She followed my instructions and went out of her way to make sure that my pets were safe and comfortable while I was out of town for a wedding. I definitely recommend booking Desiree for help with your furbabies.

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats since I was little, they just bring me happiness and joy. Just knowing they’re safe and happy makes me happy. They all need love and affection, just making sure they have the attention they deserve. Currently unemployed, so I have plenty of time to do drop ins, play with them and much more. I’m available Monday-Sunday all day, I will accept same day bookings as needed. I do have a large fenced yard, I would keep them company as long as I have them. If pets need to be indoors or outdoors both are good with me. If needed to be in cage that is also fine.

About: Hi, I’m Andrea! I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have been surrounded by dogs my entire life. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a Pre-Veterinary concentration, where I got hands-on experience working with a variety of species and learned about animal behavior, handling, training, and basic medical care. One of the coolest experiences I had was working in a research facility that studied canine scent detection (nose work). I also took animal training courses in college, which sparked my interest in dog behavior and enrichment. I love learning how dogs think and finding fun ways to keep them happy, confident, and mentally stimulated. These days, I’m a nurse by profession, but caring for animals has always been a passion of mine. My nursing background has made me dependable, attentive, and comfortable handling situations that require patience and attention to detail. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, sniffing games, training sessions, or just curling up on the couch for company, I’m happy to tailor their care to what makes them happiest. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and my goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and have a great time while you’re away! Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I’m available throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, playtime, enrichment activities, and lots of companionship. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in or overnight care, I enjoy making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. Having grown up around dogs and worked with animals throughout my education, I understand that every pet has a unique personality and needs. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, enrichment activities, or simply companionship, I am committed to providing reliable, compassionate care while you’re away.

About: I have over 20 years of personal, hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. I regularly support friends and family with their pet care needs, from daily walks and playtime to feeding, companionship, and keeping routines consistent while they’re away. I’m comfortable caring for both energetic pets who love to play and explore, as well as couch-loving companions who prefer quiet company and naps. I have minor experience administering medications and assisting with basic medical care, and I always follow instructions carefully and ask questions when needed. I’m patient, observant, and genuinely love animals—I’m absolutely the person at every gathering who ends up sitting on the floor bonding with the pets. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority. Pet care fits easily into my daily schedule. Outside of caring for my own pets, I’m very open and flexible, which allows me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, extended visits, and overnight care as needed. I plan my day around the pets I’m responsible for, making sure they get consistent attention, exercise, feeding, and companionship. Whether your pet needs structured activity, relaxed company, or a mix of both, I’m happy to adjust my routine to match theirs. Reliability and clear communication are important to me, and I make sure pet care is never rushed or treated as an afterthought. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow all provided instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk routines, medications, and any household preferences. I treat every home with respect and care, making sure your pet’s space stays clean, safe, and calm. I take time to give pets attention and companionship—not just the basics—whether that means playtime, enrichment, or simply sitting with them so they don’t feel alone. I’m observant and communicative, and I provide updates so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away. My goal is for you to come home to a happy pet and a well-cared-for home. You want photo updates? I got you! :)

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats dating back to two years ago. Since I’m a college student taking care of pets in my free time is something convenient for me. I love walking and being outside so taking dogs on a walk or to the park is very enjoyable for me. Since I am a college student my schedule can be a tad messy and all over the place. Being able to pick up task or jobs that fit into my free time make working way easier and convenient. I provide care for the clients pets depending on what the requirements are. If a client has specific instructions to be met for their pet then those expectations will be met. Any scheduled feeding, potty break, or walk will also be met guaranteed, as the well being of the pet always comes first.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
