“I have peace of mind when traveling that my fur babies are in great hands and very well taken care of. I am a repeat customer and have already requested Maryanna to do the drop in visits for my next travel. She is very accommodating, responsive , responsible, and genuinely cares. I very much appreciate her flexibility with the changes for my travel dates. Don’t have but great things to say! THANK YOU!”

“Alicia has done a great job taking care of 2 kitties Simba & Bella. Simba is the mischievous one and Bella is the timid one. To my surprise, they didn’t hide in the first meeting and Bella actually even let Alicia held her in her arms!! 😳. While we were gone, Alicia pretty much gave me daily updates on them, although Bella did hide but eventually she showed up and got her petting from Alicia!! Simba behaved relatively well with Alicia while we were gone. Overall, I feel pretty comfortable having Alicia take care of my 2 beloved kitties!! I have already rebooked her service for next event. Tks Alicia for taking good care of my kitties!! 😻😻😃”

About: Hi, I’m Andrea! I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have been surrounded by dogs my entire life. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a Pre-Veterinary concentration, where I got hands-on experience working with a variety of species and learned about animal behavior, handling, training, and basic medical care. One of the coolest experiences I had was working in a research facility that studied canine scent detection (nose work). I also took animal training courses in college, which sparked my interest in dog behavior and enrichment. I love learning how dogs think and finding fun ways to keep them happy, confident, and mentally stimulated. These days, I’m a nurse by profession, but caring for animals has always been a passion of mine. My nursing background has made me dependable, attentive, and comfortable handling situations that require patience and attention to detail. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, sniffing games, training sessions, or just curling up on the couch for company, I’m happy to tailor their care to what makes them happiest. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and my goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and have a great time while you’re away! Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I’m available throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, playtime, enrichment activities, and lots of companionship. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in or overnight care, I enjoy making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. Having grown up around dogs and worked with animals throughout my education, I understand that every pet has a unique personality and needs. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, enrichment activities, or simply companionship, I am committed to providing reliable, compassionate care while you’re away.
“Kayhla does an amazing job watching our dog. She goes the extra mile in giving her special attention and taking plenty of videos and pictures. Highly recommend her as a pet sitter.”

“I had full confidence in leaving my cat in Dani’s care. She was communicative, caring, and detail oriented. Everything I needed to be assured that this was the right choice.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats dating back to two years ago. Since I’m a college student taking care of pets in my free time is something convenient for me. I love walking and being outside so taking dogs on a walk or to the park is very enjoyable for me. Since I am a college student my schedule can be a tad messy and all over the place. Being able to pick up task or jobs that fit into my free time make working way easier and convenient. I provide care for the clients pets depending on what the requirements are. If a client has specific instructions to be met for their pet then those expectations will be met. Any scheduled feeding, potty break, or walk will also be met guaranteed, as the well being of the pet always comes first.
“Tatiana looked after my cat Sinbad for week while I was in Columbus. She got along well with him and sent me some good videos of him. Couldn't get any pictures, though. She was good about staying in communication, and Sinbad was happy when I got home.”
“Abigaely was very gracious with me and my sadness to leave my cats for the first time. She demonstrated initiative in coming up with additional ideas for the comfort of the cats despite my long and detailed written instructions and requests. I got to meet Abigaely before leaving on my trip and I saw her engage with the cats with cate and confidence. I was able to enjoy myself while away knowing she was in charge.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
