“Highly recommend Emma for caring for your pet! She provided updates and pictures of my dog and I could tell she gave him the attention that he loves! He is a 11 yr old large dog with ambulation issues and she took great care of him.”

“Helena did a great job taking care of our two cats for a week. She came at the agreed-upon time each day, gave them lots of love, pets, and playtime, and sent us pictures that helped us not miss them quite as much; although that’s hard, of course! We felt very comfortable knowing they were in good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Everything went smoothly with Jennifer watching my little kitties over the weekend. She provided us with great pics and detailed visitation logs and her communication was great!”

“Hannah was fantastic with our pup Leo! After our second dog had to spend a weekend in the emergency room, she was very flexible and accommodating to switch up the schedule unexpectedly and took very good care of our boy when he was home alone and needed extra love! We came home to a very happy pup :)”

“Victoria was amazing with my 5 month old puppy, Luka. She walked him even when it was very hot outside but still made sure he got his exercise and outdoor time! She made sure to feed him and give him water, taking care of my pups wellbeing:) I will definitely be rebooking for future walks!!”

“Lorrie was so kind . I had her come and meet us for the first time, as we search for dog sitters. Lorrie got on the floor and just sat and pet Cali as we talked; Cali took right to her :) I will definitely be calling on Lorrie for her drop-in services.”

“My pups enjoy their daily visits from Chen for a midday exercise and potty breaks! This dog mom is happy as well knowing that they are being cared for and getting belly rubs even when I’m not there. Chen makes sure to send me updates with a cute pic and some notes on how the visit went! Thank you Chen, we couldn’t be more pleased with your services!”
“Kristen was outstanding! She took such amazing care of our cat Mr. Bunny Ears for the month we were so far away in Alaska! He is usually pretty nervous with new people and he came around for her with ease. She sent great pics and videos too. She also helped out with little extras too since he was staying with my elder mother. I recommend her very highly! If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you for everything Kristen!”

“Thank you Brianna they look very calm and relaxed!! I love the picture with them side by side so cute!! You are there new friend. Thanks so much Maureen”

“Mike and Maya are lovely folks and their love of dogs is obvious. They were wonderful with my dog Willy and I am so pleased to have found them. I will use them again!”

“Roxanne took wonderful care of our 14-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - both for recent drop-ins and also while we were away for a week this past summer. At his age, with some health issues and being nearly deaf, he is a bit fragile, but Roxanne handles everything like a pro. She is on top of his medication routine and seems very perceptive and flexible to what he needed at different times (snuggles, sleeping, playing, etc). She sends updates and photos, which gives us so much peace of mind. Everytime she takes care of him, we come home to a happy pup who clearly feels safe and comfortable with her. Can’t recommend her enough!”

About: I have been taking care of pets as long as I can remember. As young as 12 I was petsitting cats and rabbits on my street. As I got older, I watched the dogs of family and friends for vacations. It is something I’ve continued to do and love throughout my adult years. I have handled all sized dogs, puppies, and senior pets with medication needs. I have become a well-trusted and loving pet sitter within my community. I am currently working part-time but am available in the evening for walks. I am free for drop in visits morning and night but at work for majority of the day. I am very aware of pets needs and will keep the environment they occupy free of any potential hazards. When the weather permits, I like to keep the pets I watch active and spend time outdoors.
“Mike was absolutely amazing! Had him watch my two cats for almost two weeks. He stayed the whole time , fed , played with them etc. followed our directions and everything went great. Even fed my fish! Thank you Mike !”

“Great as always! Brittany has become our go-to sitter for many reasons. It makes such a difference being able to relax while we’re away, knowing our pets are in good hands.”

“Kathy is wonderful. She is a real dog lover! She stopped in to visit with my puppy and walk him, play with him, etc. I felt very comfortable with her in my home and taking care of my puppy. She even texted me photos of him during her visit. Highly recommended.”

Jamie was amazing. She was able to give meds to my very old cat and my dog loved her. I messed up and left the wrong key for Jamie to get in, and she was so responsive and ended up coming back an hour after we figured out a way for her to get in. She sent updates daily and was the most punctual and responsible petsitter I have found on Rover. Thank you Jamie!
Amber watched our cat Loona and we couldn't asked for anyone better to take care of her! We came back to a happy Loona and our place honestly looked cleaner than how we left it. She even put our cat food order away when it arrived while we were gone. Would definitely book again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Larchmont Meadows. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
