I will also transport your pet(s) to & from your home if needed. This will be an additional fee. I have been professionally petsitting for the past 17 years. References are supplied upon request. About: I stand out from other sitters because I bring a rare combination of veterinary training, hands‑on clinical experience, and a lifetime of caring for animals of all sizes. I am a veterinary nurse graduate from Marian University Plymouth 2026, which means I approach every pet with a strong understanding of animal health, behavior, and safety. Alongside my education, I’ve worked as a veterinary assistant in both large and small animal medicine, and during my several externships at Emergency, Specialty Hospitals, Private Practice and currently working at a veterinary clinic. These roles have given me extensive experience with senior pets, animals with medical needs, medication administration, safe animals handling and recognizing early signs of illness or stress — skills that most sitters don’t have. Beyond my clinical background, animals have been a central part of my life from the very beginning. I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, and I’m comfortable with everything from energetic puppies to shy or anxious pets. I also have a fountain in farm work which created a strong sense of responsibility and dedication. Your pets aren’t just watched — they’re cared for by someone who truly understands them. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine since I’m currently working at a veterinary clinic with a consistent schedule. I work Tuesday–Friday, and depending on your location, I can stop by for mid‑day potty breaks during the week. I also follow a steady, work‑style rhythm, so I can visit in the mornings before my shift and return in the evenings for feeding, walks, or check‑ins. My weekends are even more flexible, giving me plenty of time for longer visits or extended care. Because of my profession and lifestyle, pet sitting blends seamlessly into my routine, and I make sure every pet receives dependable, attentive care throughout the week. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on creating a safe, calm, and consistent environment that keeps pets comfortable. I like too follow the pet’s normal routines as closely as possible — from feeding and medication schedules to preferred walking routes and bedtime habits — because familiar patterns help reduce stress. I treat every home with the same respect I’d want for my own. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, enrichment, and reassurance so they feel relaxed even when their family is away. My goal is to provide care that feels seamless, trustworthy, and grounded in both compassion and professional experience.
About: I have grown up with pets my entire life. Caring for animals has always been a passion. My experience in pet care is from having my own pets and caring for my family and friend's pets such as dogs, cats, fish and guinea pig for the past 30 years. I currently have a 95 pound pitty mix and love him to pieces! I work full time and have my own family but am committed to being an awesome, long time pet sitter for you, the one you continue to request! I look forward to adding your fur babies to my schedule and am signing up because I have the time. I am committed to caring your pets as if they are my own. I will nurture their sense of play, curiosity, social interaction within a safe and caring manner. I am committed to making them feel safe at all times to lower their anxiety of you being gone. I will share videos and photos of your fur babies to bring you joy and comfort while away. Pet care is an important part of my daily routine. I make sure my pets are fed, have fresh water, receive regular exercise and attention, and that their living areas are kept clean. I also make time each week for grooming, playtime, and any necessary appointments or errands. I’m very consistent and responsible when it comes to caring for pets, and I enjoy making sure they are happy, healthy, and well cared for. My dog is spoiled, he is allowed on all furniture and beds. He goes on trips with us and has sleep overs with some of my sons friends. I have more than enough love to give my dog and your animals!!
About: Hi! I’m Kristina, a Registered Veterinary Technician with over 9 years of experience caring for animals in general practice, emergency medicine, and beyond. 🐾 I know how important it is to have someone you truly trust caring for your pets while you’re away. I’m comfortable with pets of all personalities and needs, including seniors and pets who may need a little extra patience and attention. Your pets will be treated like family and cared for with the same compassion and attention I give my own. ❤️ Pet care is my full-time profession, which means your pets receive my dedicated time, attention, and reliability—not just care squeezed in around another job. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, I’ve built my career around caring for animals and understanding their individual needs. I’m able to provide dependable scheduling, attentive care, and the peace of mind that comes from leaving your pets with an experienced veterinary professional. 🐾 My home is set up with pet safety and supervision in mind. 🏡🐾 I have a gate separating the front and back areas of the house, which helps me safely manage pets and keep a close eye on everyone in my care. I have a small, unfenced yard, so pets are always supervised and leashed while outside. My neighborhood is quiet and safe, making it great for daily walks and outdoor enrichment. I also have crates available when needed or if your pet is most comfortable having their own secure space. There are other pets in my home, so I take introductions and individual personalities seriously. My veterinary background helps me closely monitor behavior, comfort, and interactions to create a safe and positive environment for every pet staying with me. ❤️
“Lindsay is amazing! She had no problem taking care of my special needs cat - she even cleaned up all the messes he made due to his medical issues. She was prompt, communicated with me the whole trip, and I came home to very happy cats. Definitely will book with her again!”

“Bethanie was super responsive, professional and left no room for worry in the caretaking of our five four-legged kids while we attended our daughter's wedding in Michigan! She was also kind enough to help tech-challenged me with the Rover app as well as sending photos during our time away?. Very impressed and grateful!”
About: I love fur babies! Whether it’s running around and playing with a younger ball of energy, just talking and petting an older “pup” I’m your girl I’ve cared for neighborhood pets since I was 12 years old. I have had pets in my home my entire life. I’d love to give you a stress free time away knowing your beloved animals are in great care while you are unavailable. During the week I would like to schedule regular evening walks, drops ins, or boarding. And weekends I am completely available. I can accommodate weekday services as long as I have enough of an advanced notice. I have a large fenced in yard! I am a very adventurous, outdoors person so if your dog is energetic I will be out there finding out what your dog enjoys to do, whether it be being chased, catching a ball, or just being curious and walking the neighborhood if you’re baby plans on hanging out with me I would definitely keep he/she active! I am currently working Monday-Thursdays, with a very flexible schedule! I am able to do drop ins or walks anytime throughout the day, but I will be able to give more devoted time for boarding typically Thur thru Sunday. We have a fenced in yard and plenty of space for your fur babies to run around and feel at home! My family will live on your pets as if they are our own!
“Hanna is awesome! I am glad she has been there for me all of this time, and will miss her when she moves. Anyone who needs someone to look after their babies near her new home would be more than pleased with her responsiveness and understanding. Thanks Hanna for all you’ve done!”

About: Hi! I’m Paige, and animals have been a huge part of my life for over 14 years. Caring for pets isn’t just my job—it’s something I genuinely love. I’m currently a professional dog groomer and have also managed boarding facilities, worked in a veterinary office, and completed basic obedience training. Those experiences have taught me how to safely handle dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels while recognizing when they may need a little extra patience or attention. At home, your pet will have a safe, fun environment with a fully fenced yard for playtime, plenty of toys, fresh water, treats (with your approval), and lots of love and attention. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own. Whether they love to play, cuddle, or simply relax, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! Scheduling, I just ask for two days notice if needed on the weekends or if I am needed for overnight stays/check ins. Thank you in advance! I have a fenced in yard at my home and two of my own dogs to keep your fur babies company if they enjoy playmates, if we are at your home I just need the information for care!
About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to every pet as if they were my own. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs, so I take the time to really get to know them and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I have experience working with goats, cats, dogs and lizards, chickens and even horses, along with senior pets. I’m patient and consistent when it comes to basic training, potty routines, exercising and helping reinforce good habits. I know how important that is, so I focus on structure, positive reinforcement, and lots of encouragement. For senior pets, I have lots of experience in administering medication, and sticking closely to their routine, or providing extra attention and care. Reliability and communication are very important to me. I make sure you stay updated with messages, photos, and check-ins so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is to give you peace of mind and make your pet feel happy, secure, and cared for every step of the way. I’m currently working part-time and remote, so I have plenty of flexibility to help others take care of their fur baby. You can count on me! I provide a safe, loving environment. I currently have a 4-year-old Bernedoodle who is everything to me. I grew up surrounded by animals and have always had a strong love for them. Over the years, I’ve helped friends, family, and neighbors by dropping in to care for their pets, feeding them, spending quality time with them, and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I make it a priority to follow each pet’s routine closely, give them plenty of attention, and create a calm, safe environment where they feel at home. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or just keeping them company, I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family

About: Since I was 16, I’ve been trusted with the care of pets for my family, extended family, friends, and neighbors. I walk my own dog daily, and I have two cats of my own, so I know firsthand how to care for both dogs and cats. I’ve house-sat for a variety of pets, making sure they feel happy, active, and loved. I’m confident managing different pets and routines, and I treat every animal as if it were my own. I work from home with flexible hours, and the only times I’m usually in the office are Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, I can adjust those days if needed. I’m happy to stay at your home or work from there as long as there’s Wi-Fi. Just let me know what works best for you! In my home, my cats and dog are truly family—so they have a routine full of love, playtime, and a set schedule for meals and rest. When I care for your pets, I bring that same royal treatment to them. I make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of play and attention, and a safe, structured environment. Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
