About: Hello all! I absolutely love animals and have had dogs my whole life; while also living with cats throughout the years. Our amazing Husky Chow mix named Named Kilo passed away in 2021 and due to his health the past few years I took some time off from rover. He was 12 years old and we went through every phase with him, puppy to senior so I can help with yours in anyway needed! Recently we found an adorable 1 year old pup named Bear on a rehoming page who looked so much like Kilo we knew we had to bring him into our family! Bear is a husky boxer mix which explains why they look so much alike. So now we are starting all over with the training process back to the puppy stage and loving it. All of this to say, I will love your dog as much as I love mine. Dogs impact our lives in ways we can’t describe and I promise to make you comfortable knowing your dog is in good hands when you leave Thanks for reading! I only go into the office on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday from 8-4, so I can stop by before and after work on those day. Monday and Friday I work from home and am flexible on those days. I want you to feel confident in me because that’s how I want to feel when I’m gone and someone watches my dog. I love take pictures and sending them to owners also!

About: I grew up always having pets in my life, including cats, dogs, and small animals, and I’ve been caring for animals for over 25 years. I also lived on a farm for three years, which gave me hands-on experience with a wide variety of animals and their different needs. My mom was a vet tech, so our home was often full of animals she brought home to care for, including dogs, cats, a goat, and even a fawn. Over the years, I’ve also helped with pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, loved, and cared for while their people are away. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, check-ins, giving pets attention and reassurance, and keeping owners updated so they know their pets are doing well. I’m a stay-at-home mom with elementary and middle school aged children, which gives me flexibility during the school day to care for pets. I’m available for weekday drop-ins, walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship while owners are at work or away. I’m happy to work with each family’s routine and make sure pets get the care and attention they’re used to. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets and entering your home. I will follow your instructions carefully, respect your pet’s routine, and make sure doors, gates, crates, food, water, and leashes are handled safely. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, including shy, energetic, older, or routine-sensitive animals. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away.
About: Hi pet parents! I know it can be tough to travel or make plans when you have pets at home, but I’m here to help so you don’t have to worry! I love spending time with dogs and cats, and I’m comfortable caring for multi-pet homes. I also have experience with pets who need a little extra care, including special needs and medication routines. While you’re away, I’ll send regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease and stay connected. I’m easy to reach and always happy to help. I’d love to meet you and your furry family soon! Pet sitting is my primary career for 10+ years. I have a genuine love for cat, dogs, and many other animals like elephants and turtles! I love being able to be a pets second favorite human I’ll even take third place if I must. For the cat lovers, if I get a head butt, I will consider myself honored! I always keep pets within sight and make their safety a priority. If they prefer space, I check in on them regularly in a calm and comfortable way. I follow feeding schedules closely, ensure fresh water is always available, and help reduce stress while you’re away. For outdoor time, I quickly scan the area for safety, make sure gates are secure, and use any requested collars or harnesses. I’m also happy to put on booties or bring extra water for hot or cold weather when needed.
“Marianne consistently goes above and beyond for our energetic, black lab puppy and older lab/shepherd mix! She communicates clearly with me and is always dependable. Our puppy enjoys the walks and the playtime in the backyard. She gives love to both dogs, and they are better off for it. We are so thankful for her service!”

“Maggie is hands down one of THE best dog walkers I’ve ever found, and trust me am superrrrr particular when it comes to trusting someone with my pup. Amazing and prompt communication, always on time, and above all extremely consistent with availability and showing up every week on the days needed. Which we all know is the hardest detail to find sometimes 🙌🏻. Can’t say enough positive things about her so your little one will be in good hands if she cares for them.”

“Haley came to my home for a meet and greet before her walk with Spirit. She was very sweet and answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease that my pup was in good hands. And he was. She communicated very well if anything occurred. I would definitely let her walk Spirit again.”

About: I looked after and cared for my family’s two dogs as a teen and am 1 year into being a work from home dog dad for our English Golden, Archie. I can walk, feed, play and otherwise entertain your pets as I do my own. I work from home doing an 8am-4pm office job fully remote. I have many breaks throughout the day as the job is on call/as needed. I use this spare time to enrich our puppies life with exercise, playtime, and training. Weekends are usually free unless I am out of town. I have a fenced in back yard for easy outside time and a small neighborhood for walks. I have a 1 year old English Golden Retriever named Archie who loves to play and make new friends. I can kennel dogs at night if needed. Archie’s night time routine involves his crate which he prefers to go to at night for sleeping. On an average day we alternate between lounging by the hearth, playing frisbee/ball outside to get laps in, naps, and of course walks around lunch time and shortly after work. I can come to your house for check ins or walks and if needed can pick up/drop off your pet for boarding at my place.
About: I have taken care of many pets belonging to friends and family, both dogs and cats of varying breeds, sizes and ages. I particularly enjoy walking dogs. I am currently retired and have considerable free time each day or week to provide pet care. I have cared for the pets of many of my friends and family. I have a fenced yard which provides a safe area for pets outside at my residence. I can take care of your pet at my home or yours.
“Where to start! Miranda is the only walker we use for our pup and we couldn’t be more thankful for her. She is very communicative, takes good care of our puppy, and has even bailed us out in very last minute walks. If you need your dog walked or taken care of, look no further! She’s the best!”

About: I went to school for Veterinary Technology, and now am licensed in Tennessee and Certified in Florida as a Veterinary Technician. I no longer work in an animal hospital and am at home most the day. Not only can I pet sit for you or take your babies on walks during the day but I can administer medications prescribed by your veterinarian and alert you if I feel something is wrong with your pet and seek medical attention for them. I would love the opportunity to care for your fur babies. I have recently decided to step out of the clinic scene to have more time to plan my wedding and spend more time with my fiancé and fur babies. We are getting Married the beginning of December 😆 so I have a pretty flexible schedule. The days that I have blocked off, I will be out of town doing wedding things ❤️ I can’t wait to start booking all the mid day/evening walks, or weekend stays with my year old golden retriever puppy and my 7lb maltipoo. I live in a house with a lot of open space, and a spacious fenced in back yard to play in. I have a one year old golden retriever puppy and a 7lb maltipoo that would be great company or play buddy for your pup. My golden of course loves everyone and everything so he would not be good company for a dog that does not do well with other playful/excited dogs. He has learned how to be careful around smaller pets with my maltipoo so that is not a problem. Maddie would love a small dog to hangout and play with as well.

“Amanda was such a blessing as a quasi quick booking for a dog walker for New Year's weekend. She was on time and handled my pups very well in the freezing weather. I'd use her again anytime!”

Samantha has been walking my stubborn pit mix for about 2 months now and she has been absolutely amazing! I know that I can trust her to take the best care of my dog while I’m at work during the week. I highly recommend, especially since she can flawlessly deal with my hard-headed 9 year old dog, Zoey!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
