“This was my first time ever utilizing the app. I was so nervous and worried. She ensured me all would be fine. Sophia sent pictures along the way. She did amazing. She will definitely be my Mercedes favorite person in no time. 🩷”

“Allison is sweet and very kind. We felt comfortable with her and her communications. She followed our instructions for our dog (considerations for the heat, misting her down, checking her food and water, where to take her) and we know Gypsy was well taken care of. Recommend her and we'll book her again when we're back in the area.”

About: I have been around dogs and cats my entire life and have always had pets in my home since I was a child. I truly love all animals and feel very comfortable caring for pets of different sizes, ages, and personalities. ❤️ I currently have my own dog, so I understand daily routines, responsibility, and how important it is for pets to feel safe, happy, and loved. I started dog sitting for family members around age 15, caring for pets of all sizes and temperaments, including feeding, walking, playtime, and overnight stays. This gave me hands on experience maintaining routines and understanding different pet personalities. I am also comfortable administering basic medications such as oral pills and topical treatments, always following owner instructions carefully. I worked at PetSmart as a dog bather, where I gained experience safely bathing dogs, handling different coat types, and keeping pets calm and comfortable during grooming. This helped me develop patience, gentle handling skills, and the ability to read animal behavior. I treat every pet like my own and focus on creating a calm, loving, and safe environment. I’m reliable, attentive, and provide regular updates and photos so pet parents feel at ease. 🐶🐱🫶🏻 I work full time, but I’m available for weekday walks and weekend pet sitting when you need someone to care for your pets while you’re away. 🩷 A typical day in my care is calm, relaxed, and focused on making pets feel comfortable and loved. I enjoy spending time with them throughout the day, whether that’s relaxing together, watching TV, or simply keeping them company so they don’t feel alone. 🥹 I make sure to follow their normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and bathroom breaks. I also take time for enrichment and exercise, whether that’s playing outside, going for walks, or engaging them with toys. For pets who enjoy it, I also offer plenty of affection and cuddles, while always respecting their boundaries and letting them set the pace. My goal is to create a safe, low stress environment where they feel happy, secure, and cared for. ❤️

About: Hi, I’m Desiree! I’m 29 years old, and my love for animals has been a part of who I am for as long as I can remember. Caring for animals comes naturally to me, and throughout my life I’ve opened my heart and home to many pets in need. I had the privilege of fostering animals for two years, caring for pets from different backgrounds and with different personalities. While I eventually stepped away from fostering because saying goodbye became so difficult, my passion for helping animals never faded. That’s what inspired me to become a Rover sitter. I’m also the proud dog mom of three amazing dogs of all sizes, so I understand that every pet has their own unique personality, routine, and needs. When your pet is in my care, they’ll be treated like family—with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own dogs. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive, personalized care throughout the day. I offer weekday, evening, and weekend availability with advance notice. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply relaxing with company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my highest priority. I carefully follow your instructions, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, and any special care your pet may need. I provide a clean, secure environment, constant supervision, and plenty of affection to help your pet feel at ease. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member with someone else, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. My goal is to give you peace of mind by providing reliable, compassionate care and keeping you updated with photos and messages throughout your pet’s stay. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member and give them a fun, safe, and loving home away from home! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day. I can accommodate weekday, evening, and weekend bookings with advance notice. I make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, potty breaks, playtime, and affection while they’re in my care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, and any special needs. I maintain a clean, safe environment, provide constant supervision, and make sure pets feel relaxed and loved. I also have experience caring for my own dogs and understand the importance of patience and positive interactions.

“Nayeli is always so professional in and around my home and my dogs--she is knowledgeable and friendly! Even my shy kid warmed up to her almost immediately! My dogs love her! I haven't been able to walk my dogs due to some health issues, and she has been so valuable to our family. Thank you so much for your continued care!”

About: Animals have always been part of my life. I grew up with barn cats and have cared for dogs since childhood, giving me real experience and a natural, loving approach to pet care. I work Monday through Wednesday. I can also work Friday and Saturday if needed, and prefer to have Sundays off to maintain a balanced schedule. Currently living in a townhouse with a small fenced yard. Living with three dogs, we have 2 crates we use when all occupants are out of the house.
About: I grew up on a farm just outside of hutch, so we had a large variety of animals, including but not limited to cats, dogs, and even a tortise at one point! I’d love to help meet all your needs and your animals needs in anyway possible! I recently moved to new mexico, but i am at home all day everyday! I am currently a travel nurse, but I am home a lot with my schedule, so my 5 cats and 1 dog, all are fully vaccinated get a lot of one on one time. But I love taking care of animals so that’s why I’m doing this. It fits really well into my ever changing routine. I currently live in a 56 foot Sanibel camper, but it is a pet friendly camper. My 5 cats Jezabell, Bogey, Penner, Don Julio, and Eve are very friendly and easy to get along with. They have free range food, as i tried to limit it and it just wasn’t working for them so Im trying this and it seems to work very well for them. They also have whatever they could ever want in water and toys, and I clean their litter boxes at least once a day to make them happier :) Ripley goes on walks morning and night, and is out of her kennel all day with me most days. But she is crate trained and very respectful but also playful!
About: Hi! I’m someone who truly sees dogs as family not just pets. I’ve had dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always been a natural part of who I am. From playful puppies to older dogs who need a little extra patience and love, I’m comfortable with all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’m compassionate, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs whether that’s going on walks, playing, or just giving them the comfort and companionship they deserve while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog, and I treat every dog I watch with the same love and care I give my own. Your dog’s safety, happiness, and routine are my top priorities. I’ll make sure they feel secure, loved, and right at home. As a full-time stay-at-home mom to my little ones, my days are built around care, routine, and a lot of love which naturally carries over into how I care for dogs. Our home is already full of activity, structure, and warmth, making it a comfortable and welcoming environment for dogs. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to easily fit in walks, playtime, feedings, and plenty of attention. Whether it’s morning walks, afternoon check-ins, or evening care, I’m able to stay flexible and consistent with each dog’s routine. Having little ones also means we spend a lot of time outdoors and staying active, so dogs in my care get plenty of movement, stimulation, and companionship. Balancing motherhood and dog care comes naturally to me because both are rooted in patience, attentiveness, and genuine love. I’m used to multitasking, sticking to routines, and making sure everyone in my care feels safe, happy, and cared for. I have an unfenced yard and 1 friendly medium sized male dog to keep your fur baby company, friendly neighborhood, dog park up the road
About: Hello! My name’s Sharik (or Shar for short), and I’ve been caring for fur babies for about 15 years. What sets me apart from other sitters is not just my experience, but my genuine love for animals and my hands-on approach to their care. I’ve worked with both senior dogs and puppies, but my true expertise is with cats. I currently have three cats of my own and have had many more over my 23 years, so I’m well-versed in understanding their behavior and needs. Whether it’s helping a senior dog stay comfortable or giving a puppy the attention and training they need, I pride myself on providing personalized care tailored to each pet. I take this job seriously because I treat every pet as if they were my own, offering them the love and attention I would want for my own animals. I make sure every pet is safe, happy, and well-cared for, whether they’re young, old, or somewhere in between. Pet care is a top priority in my daily routine. I make sure to plan my day around the needs of the pets I’m caring for, whether it’s feeding, playtime, or administering medications. I maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate each pet’s individual needs, ensuring they get the attention and care they deserve. When caring for pets in my home, I create a safe, calm environment where they feel comfortable and secure. I have a pet-friendly space with plenty of room to roam, cozy spots to rest, and lots of playtime to keep them entertained. For cats, I ensure their space is quiet and stress-free, with plenty of hiding spots and enrichment activities. I also take extra precautions to pet-proof my home, keeping hazardous items out of reach and making sure the environment is safe for curious paws.
About: I have experience with a wide variety of animals, both typical and exotic species of pets. I have AZA training in caring for reptiles and birds, have handled dangerous reptiles and amphibians, and have taken care of my own range of pets over the years. I have a pretty flexible schedule as I substitute teach for a local school district and can adjust my schedule to visit and properly care for your pet in your home. If you give me your instructions in how your pet should be looked after and cared for, I will follow your every instruction. I can even be innovative in terms of providing enrichment or treats to reward your pets for proper behavior. About: Don't worry, while you are away your cat or dog will receive lots of snuggles and belly rubs and all the playtime and walks he/she could ever want. I enjoy all types of dogs and cats both big and small. I am a very active person and have no problem going on long walks or runs for pets needing extra exercise.I have a pickup, so I can take dogs on hikes or to the lake for added fun.I cannot wait to meet your best friend. HOUSE/PET SITTING, DROP BY VISITS, AND DOG WALKING ARE AVAILABLE. I am currently working at the school district. I would be able to come in and check on your animals in the morning before work, around lunch time, in the later afternoon, evenings, and at night. I also have most weekends and holidays off for anyone needing weekend/holiday animal care. I have 2 months off in the summer to house sit or visit your pets multiple times a day. I do have my own dog and will need to spend time at my own house to take care of him as well. But don’t worry, I won’t forget about your fur baby. I love going on walks with my own dog and spending as much time outside as possible. I would be more than willing to spend several hours taking your pet for walks, playing, shopping (for treats of course) and maybe just spending some time with them while you are away.
“Michelle is such a joy to work with. She was accommodating to meet the boys prior to their first walk, and they all took to each other quite well. She's thoughtful in her walk activities to their individual needs and environmental concerns (like the heat and sun). The rover cards are always wl documented and provided with plenty of cute photos.”

About: I have taken care of my family and friends pets. They have always asked me due to trusting me so well and treating their pets well. I have and will always respect animals. Just like humans they deserve respect and proper care. I feel I have a good schedule. I don’t get out to late for work and I work a rotational shift. I work two days and then I’ll be off the next two days. It’s great rotating schedule. I care for them by giving them their respect just because they aren’t humans doesn’t mean they not get that. I give them treats when they listen and follow commands. I give them hugs and show them I care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
