Not only does Alana take great care of our dog, she also takes great care of our house. She stayed late one day this week to alert us that our water heater was leaking — helping us avoid major water damage.

Kim is great! I can always depend on her to take good care of my dog. She alerts me if something isn’t right, she has been available on short notice, and she has never cancelled. I’m sincerely appreciative to Kim for all she’s done, and I’m grateful to know my dog is in such good hands.

About: I've had several dogs in my life, smaller and larger dogs. I had a cocker spaniel mix when I was a kid, a collie when my kids were young, and most recently a German shepherd. Each had their own personality and I have special memories of each one of them. I have taken care of older dogs and younger dogs. I can handle the energy of younger dogs and the needs of older ones. We have always seen our pets as members of the family and I hope you will allow me to see your dog in the same way. I have friends that I have stayed at their house for a couple of weeks to spend time with their dog while they were on vacation. We went for walks twice a day and had a lot of time playing together. I work remotely in my job so I am happy to work from wherever is needed to take care of your pet. My schedule is flexible and I will work hard to accommodate the schedule of you pet. If you just need someone to come to walk your dog or just spend time with your cat, I have the flexibility in my day to do that. My first goal is to make your dog or cat comfortable with my visit. If I'm staying in your home, I will follow the routine you have set to do just that.

David is an absolutely phenomenal dog sitter! He took amazing care of my boyfriend and I’s two huskies, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. My boyfriend especially gets so so so anxious about anybody watching them, and for him to be at peace 24/7 knowing David was there should say a lot. He was incredibly responsive and professional throughout the entire process. The numerous photos he sent gave me so much relief and reassurance, knowing my boys were in good hands and having a blast. I highly recommend David to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter! His wife was also extremely sweet and didn’t mind going on walks with our crazy boys and made the cutest art of them.

About: I have always had dogs and cats as a part of my family and I also spent a lot of time cat sitting for friends and family. My family fostered puppies and dogs for several years through a local organization! I am in school studying animal behavior and have done an internship at a cat shelter giving enrichment and behavior training to the particularly shy cats. I work part time, only 3-5 hours a day at a shop a few minutes from my house. Other than work and quick errands from time to time I’m home full time otherwise! I have a huge backyard that is not fenced in, however your pet would have full on leash supervised access to the yard! I have an older cat who gets along very well with other animals.

About: During my youth I was surrounded by all sorts of animals. My dad took in cats and my mom fostered dogs. Living in the country, a few of my friends had farms with an assortment of animals. My junior and senior year of high school I moved to Tennessee and enrolled in 4-H. My family started a little farm of our own. Which included goats and chickens. I had planned to go to veterinary school. I ended up having to move back to New York. Now I’m here in Georgia! There were a few animals that stuck out to me while growing up. First my all black main coon. She was my first animal. A Rottweiler named Brutus, he ate every left shoe. My first ever coon hound mix. His name was Eli. During my middle school times I received two mastiff pit bull puppies for Christmas. I raised both of them. Once they were trained, one of them was given to my great grandfather as a companion. The other stayed with me until my father’s dog passed and he eventually took my dog. They are ever happy together. After high school I spent most of my time working. Making ends meet. From waitressing to working at a hospital as a patient care technician. May of 2025 I moved to Georgia and was expecting a little boy in August. My mother does rover and she had gifted me the information to maybe help my situation. I had a few under the table clients down in Georgia and I found that I throughly enjoyed spending time with animals. I remember why I wanted to go to veterinary school. I can be very flexible. I do have a baby that would most likely come with me. He is good with all animals. Setting boundaries and keeping the separation is always a priority. If that’s not a problem, I can come by any time of the day. I have reliable and consistent transportation. Regardless if I’m just stopping in or staying, I always respect and try to leave your home in a better condition that I found it. Making sure there’s a safe environment. Your fur baby is happy and loved.

About: I love hiking and snuggling with my fur babies and hope to share the love with your fur family. I’ve fostered pups of all ages with different behavioral styles and volunteered for a handful of shelters and rescues. I do pop ins for a few locals in town and of course for my family. For me, there’s nothing more therapeutic than a fur baby and nature. I’d like to think I repay them for their endless love by easing their nerves while you’re away. I'm currently a dog Mawma to my 95 lb lap dog, Leana and a 25 lb pot cake, Millie. Leana is reactive on leash and takes strength on walks. And quite opposite of Leana, Millie is trained to walk off leash. My previous pup was a 100 lb pure bred Swissy (also a lap dog) who I lost to cancer. I was laid off from my up-tight corporate job and I'm looking to go back to what I know and love, animals. I own my house in Mt. Morris, NY (with a fenced yard!) and I spend a lot of time in Seabreeze/E. Irondequoit, NY, so my range in location is pretty wide. I'm currently available to stay in your home while you're on vacation, tend to your pets for an evening out, or make sure your pet gets the potty breaks and walks needed during a long work day. At my house in Mt. Morris, I have a fenced yard with 2 dogs and a cat, and my housemate. All are people and dog friendly. At your home, I'd abide by your requests.

About: 🐶🐱 Every time I see a dog or cat, I can't resist wanting to pet them & they always make my heart melt! I have been caring for my own cat for 11 years and have nearly 4 years of pet-sitting experience with dogs, cats, and fish before joining Rover. I enjoy feeding pets, taking dogs for walks, playing with their favorite toys, administering medication when needed, and giving them plenty of love and attention. I've also had the pleasure of staying overnight in pet parents' homes to ensure their pets remain comfortable, safe, and well cared for while they're away. In addition to pet sitting, I am a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in New York. My flexible schedule allows me to continue providing dependable and attentive care for pets, which is something I truly enjoy. Just a heads-up: I am deaf, but communication is easy through text messages, the Rover app, email, or live transcription apps. I am committed to making communication smooth and stress-free for both you and your pet. My goal is to ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you're away. If you have any questions, special requests, or care instructions, please don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I'm currently working part-time and flexibly. I can do house-sitting or drop-in visits to take care of your pets. 😊 ***(Drop-in visits depend on the distance & location).*** I always follow the owner's instructions and routines to ensure the pet feels comfortable and safe. I take them out multiple times a day for playtime and spend quality time with them to make sure they’re happy and well cared for.

Karibian is so friendly and dependable— I would recommend her to anyone needing pet services! She always sends me pictures and updates when she walks my pup, even making time to play with him some and give him pets before putting him back in his kennel after walking. Having her walk my pup makes me feel so much less stressed when I have to leave him for the day, because I know he will be loved on and that I can count on her! We are so glad we found Karibian!

About: When I was in middle school, my science teacher went to the Philippines for the whole summer. I took care of her mices, dogs, guinea pigs and more. Growing up in Iowa, I have been around many animals including dogs. Also I have had friends who traveled to Europe and they had to leave their poodles, black labs and many more and trusted their dogs in my care at their home for a month or two weeks if needed when I lived in Washington state before moving to Honeoye Falls. When I dog sat, I made sure I gave medicine as instructed to the dogs as needed. I played with them, took them hiking, the beach, cuddled on the couch and learned about what they liked and don’t like and what makes them happy. I made sure that their owners were happy as well. When I was asked to come and dog sit again, the dogs would be waiting at the window waiting for my arrival. These dogs were sure happy to see me when I came back to dog sit them! I have plenty of time to play with your pups 🐶I would be available for boarding on the weekends and week days after 4pm. I would be happy to give lots of love and attention/play to your fur babies! I have a fenced yard and have two fur babies who love to socialize. I also love to spoil your dogs too! I work from home twice a week and can pet sit on the weekends as well! As for dog sitting in the client’s home I would treat your place with respect, love and care. Anything you need I will make sure that your pets receive it. I will also communicate and send pictures!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
