“Sarah and Josiah always take great care of our pup! He was so happy to hang out with them today and is absolutely exhausted now that he’s home - which means he had way too much fun!”

“Monica and Freddy are the best communicators! I really appreciate the updates and pictures. Moira went for a 5 hour daycare day for the first time here and I'm assuming had a ton of fun based off how tired she is now that she's back home haha. I'm sure she's looking forward to her next stay :)”

“Our experience with Kenan was just what we needed. We have a highly anxious rescue boy with severe separation anxiety, yet we knew from the moment we met Kenan that our dog was in good hands. Kenan greeted Hank (our dog) by sitting on the ground and allowing Hank to see that he was safe. Kenan also took Hank and his new friend, Paco (another dog) on a long walk on their beautiful farm, and knew when it was time to provide some down time. Hank came home happy and exhausted, and he will undoubtedly be returning to the farm!”

“Grace was amazing! Highly recommend, my dog had other dogs to play with he’s a big puppy so he loves dogs. She was communicating perfectly and was ready to go upon drop off and pick up. Looking forward to another day with Grace when back in the area.”

Large fenced in back yard for the pups to run and play! When I picked Milly up, I could tell she had a great time (even slept the three hours home)! I will definitely be using Erin in the future when we travel to Elon to visit my daughter and would recommend her to others staying in the area! Thank again Erin!!”

I work from home and am around all the time except when running errands. I usually have a dog on my lap while working for at least part of every day! About: I've been working with dogs since childhood - my parents raised Pekingese & Dobermans. Even at 8 years old, I helped mama dogs birth their pups. My schoolmates thought it was gross, most adults thought it was weird, but I thought it was super cool to be a part of bringing life into the world through adorable little squeaking pups. Even though we were very ethical & loving with our pups, many backyard breeders are not, so I no longer agree with that. But as an adult, I fell in love with rescues & adopted a few over the years. Then I decided I wanted to be more involved with Rescues. So... I became a Foster Parent, assisted Black Dog Rescue, & was an integral part of Cooper's Companions Animal Rescue in Colorado before moving to NC. I usually ended up fostering unadoptable dogs & working with them extensively until they became adoptable. Then followed up with their new pet parents to help ensure success & making it stick. My specialty is working with fearful dogs, teaching pet owners how to get the behavior they want from their pet, leash training, & training dogs to walk on a treadmill. We have 2 little dogs who had a big 'sister' for many years, so all size dogs are welcome; Both of our pups are super dog-friendly. One of them loves to play with other dogs, and the other will play sometimes, but can be a bit of a snob. We want all dogs to enjoy staying with us, but... we won't tolerate a 'truly' aggressive dog in our home. My dogs don't attack other dogs, so should either of my dogs be attacked or if a human is bitten, the offender will be separated & crated inside, or placed in our separately fenced kennel area outside (only if you prefer) for the remainder of their stay. Any issues will be discussed with the dog owner to establish their preference in this regard. Otherwise, we'll shower your fur baby with love & attention so you won't have to worry about them when you're away. Please note: ***We will only board dogs which are spayed or neutered.*** If they are not spayed/neutered, we will be happy to do drop in or house-sitting care, but we will not be able to host in our own home. P.S. Rover says my response rate is 50%, but that's only because when I've been looking for a sitter for my own dogs and someone tells me in a message that they are unavailable, I don't usually respond. I just keep looking for an available sitter, so the software assumes I have a low response rate. 🙄 I work from home, so I'm almost always available unless we're on vacation or if in the event that I have to go on a business trip. We have a fenced in yard for your pup to play in. The previous home owners put in a separate fenced kennel, so that's an available option in case you prefer your dog to be separated. It's unusual, but some people do prefer that. We almost never use it, though.

About: What makes me special? Everything!!! A dog has always been a family member since I can remember. Thank God for loving parents who believed in bringing all kinds of pets in our home. We had birds, hamsters, and even the occasional snake or frog from the yard! There is a certain bond you get from a dog that you cannot get from any other animal, though...and I am lucky enough to have experienced that. My parents are proud owners of a rescue cat, and my sister's family has 3 kitties in their happy home!! They also have a sweet little gerbil that has somehow survived all of those felines! You can definitely tell we are a family of animal lovers!!! Since February 2017, my family "farm" has grown. I raised 21 babychicks from a day old...8 of which were ours, the rest for 2 other families...then we added 3 more, barely mature, hens and a rooster to our flock. It has definitely been a fun and wonderful learning experience! I have a wonderful rescued Pit, Buddy! We raised those chicks with Buddy around...so he is great with them! It's pretty amazing!!! (Oh...and just to clarify...Buddy will stay home during any visits/stays with your pet(s). That way you'll know your baby/babies are receiving the full attention they deserve!) Buddy is probably the most spoiled dog in the world because I make practically everything for him, from his shampoos (using essential oils) to his treats. He does get the dental treats at least once a day, but other than that...he's a gourmet doggie! I am a stay-at-home pup Mom...so on the 24 hour overnight visits with me, I'll only need to leave a couple of times during the day to take Buddy out to play, etc....he'll be with his Dad all night. Otherwise, I'm all yours, so if you need someone there to take your baby out literally every 2 hours or less, I can do it!! :-) I do Daycare a little different than Rover does...I only offer daycare in your home. I feel this is the best way to keep your pets in a place they feel super comfortable & with a sitter who will keep them happy, healthy and on their schedule completely. I will always keep you up to date on how your pet or pets are doing and will send you plenty of pictures if you wish! Extras services available: Baths with or w/o essential oils, Homemade bath soap with essential oils to-go (made with any requested oils from list), Doggie bag of treats to-go (made to your pet's dietary needs.) I have numerous flours available to meet any digestive issues. - No preservatives & human-grade (though some flavors may not suit human's taste buds!) By the way...I am no salesperson... & will never try to sell you any extras...these are just other things I offer if you are interested. Just feel free to ask if you are interested. :-)

Brenda M.
“Hello, good day. My experience with Brenda Macias for dog care has been excellent. She is a person with a strong sense of responsibility and love. This sentiment is not only evident in her presence but also confirmed by the animals themselves. She owns three dogs whom she adores. One of them, Vela, she adopted from the streets despite Vela having suffered from abuse and consequently having difficulty walking. Additionally, Vela no longer has teeth, so she requires special food. Brenda welcomed Vela as part of her family, and Vela reciprocates that gratitude every day. Therefore, I highly recommend her for the care of your dogs.”

Kathryn A.
“Kate watches my 2 small dogs for a few days at a time and they love it there and are treated like part of the family. I love that they have a huge fenced in space to run around and play and Kate is always diligent about feeding them on time and making sure they have everything they need to be comfortable”

Alyssia H.
“Alyssia is a very caring person. She has cared for my pets on numerous occasions. My pets are comfortable with Alyssia. She has walked them and feed them to. When they see her their tail wagging that let me know they love her.Alyssia has also cared for her dog Humphrey for 15 years. She loved him until he passed away 😢 Humphrey had a good life being with Alyssia and her mom.I know that she is a great fit for this position. Thank you.”
