We did an initial meet 'n greet at his house so that he could meet my two (2) girls (8 month old female Pitts), and I was able to address my concerns and the plan I had in place for them while they were under his care. Joaquin drove the girls, as requested, to their enrichment and training camp, walked them every day (even before camp) and sent pictures daily. We offer the most unique experience for your pets, allowing them to have their own getaway when you have things come up in life. Whether that is planned vacations or when life likes to kick you down, we are here to offer a boarding experience like no other. My family and I have always owned dogs; I grew up with them and trained them all my life. Our family is also part of a rescue. So what better way to use our land than to also take care of other people's dogs! We are located in the northern part of Alamance County. We offer 98 acres of land with several walking trails next to a flowing creek, a clean and swimmable pond with a shallow area, a gated outside area with separate runners for the cool days with a nice breeze, and an inside area with luxury crates equipped with barn doors and beds inside of them for all of our furry visitors to relax and feel right at home! Here at our farm called The Retreat, we want your pet to have their own getaway while you have your own getaway! Currently, we are usually available 24 hours a day for your pet. I work from home as a bookkeeper and as a Realtor, so I’m usually here working from home unless I’m running to show a home. While I’m out, I have my wife and the rest of my family to cover my spot until I return. So, your pet should always have someone here to care for them! Here, your pet will always have someone to care for them throughout the day, so you can trust they are in the best of hands. We also understand that it’s a lot of land, so we offer clip-on air tags for your dog's collar while they stay here for extra safety and surveillance. It is our goal for our furry guests to have a safe and stimulating environment at all times during their stay!
About: I’ve taken care of animals for as long as I can remember. My mother was a dog sitter when I was younger so that has made me comfortable around most if not all breeds. I would help her with the feeding while she took them out. Now that I’m older I have two huskies and a cat. My goal is to eventually have farm animals, mainly as pets 😂. So, my love for animals is quite enormous. I do currently work from home M-F. I can give potty breaks every 2-3 hours while working. Since I work from home your pet would have to be well mannered while I’m on the phone. They of course will be welcomed to lay around me while working and will be loved on the entire time 😊. I have a huge yard, 2 acres worth. About 1/2 an acre is fenced in for the dogs. I have 2 spunky huskies well one tends to be more lazy than anything and I have a cat that loves our dogs.

He was excited to meet her even on our meet and greet before we started care and was immediately comfortable with her and her other dogs who are sweethearts as well. He’s been over there for a couple of weeks, but in that time, I’ve dropped him off and picked him up with the biggest smile on his face. She’s helped a lot with training as well since he’s my first dog I’ve had and he’s doing really well with that both at her home and at mine as I learn proper commands too. Communicates very thoroughly with me on how he was throughout the day, what he learned, and his overall behavior and she’s very attentive to care instructions. About: I’ve taken care of my own pets since 9 and taken care of a few others before applying here can drop in for visits at any time during the summer months I currently own an American bully which we love she’s about 6 years old very loving does well with most dogs. Mom of 6 very used to being around dogs and often help take care of my dog as well. Can drop in for 30 minute visits for potty breaks and company , feed and make sure their area is clean before heading out. Can also acomódate emergency visits if necessary

My neighbor growing up had 4 cats, that I loved dearly! She was the first person who allowed me to watch her fur babies when she went on vacation! I've pet sat many times since then. Dogs big and small of all breeds from a little pug to a 100lb+ Rottweiler. I own a 85lb pit bull mix and a 10lb weenier dog. 🐶 They are my babies.💗 I can drop in anytime to check on your fur babies. Spend extra time with them. I do bathing, and walks also! If you need your fur babies to be crated, no problem! I will make sure their safety comes first. You can put your mind at ease knowing your pets will be taken care of! This is my full time job, I enjoy every second of it! So day or night I can always do a drop in visit or a walk! Your pets safety comes first! So during a meet and greet I will be going over a small list of questions to make sure I can take care of your fur baby to the best of my ability. About: I’ve cared for dogs & cats since I was kid and will care for your fur baby like they are my own! I’m an avid walker/runner and happy to help you and your pup in whatever way you need—drop in visits or walks. I have cared for senior pups before and am happy to care for your’s if that’s what you need! I’m a full time PhD student doing research from home with a flexible schedule. I’m hoping to help someone walk their dog or stop in to play with their cat from time to time or on a regular basis if we’re a good fit! Mornings & evenings are generally easiest for me to come by and go on walks, but I can be flexible midday depending on my schedule. I’m currently a Cat Mom who loves to have play & cuddle time when I’m not working (or even sometimes when I am). I don’t have a dog but would take them out regularly on my daily walks! I’m also happy to drop in and visit your pup—for playtime, snuggles, or just some companion time!
About: Customers will love that I love animals and they will be able to feel it! I have had many animals for long periods of my life. My Cagney ( a min pin) passed when she was 16. My Boo ( a black cat) passed also when she was 16. They were the best! My babies are always interesting - all their personalities make them all so different just like people, except that they love you unconditionally. They are always there no matter what! One of my all time favorites was a bulldog I used to pet sit. He was a funny slobbery clumsy little man. Sliming corners of my jeans and my shoes and running as hard as he could to me when I came thru the door and always ready to hang out and cuddle. Fun stuff!!!!! One customer had two cats that required lots of love visits! They loved to play and run all over when u visited. Mommy Suzanne loved pics so my son and I would get them playing and start taking pics. Sweet personalities. My weakness used to be taking in animals when I couldn't afford any more. I try not to do that now - instead I try to place strays that others bring me into other good homes. My brother took in one such cat that I took in as a rescue. Jazz brought him and my brothers wife a lot of happiness over the years! Little man!(he's older and whiter in this pic) Boomer is a good ole boy that my younger brother adopted. Just a super calm dog that you can only love. His name is so different I can't remember how to say or spell it. Protective dog that I kept for my friend Val. Loves his regular walks. I currently work full time but work from home but and can work from your home if house sitting and/or visit when needed thruout the day(s). I follow your lead. Whatever you allow them to do i will allow and will restrict as you see fit. I go by your rules.

“This was the first time I have used Joaquin and I couldn't be more pleased. We did an initial meet 'n greet at his house so that he could meet my two (2) girls (8 month old female Pitts), and I was able to address my concerns and the plan I had in place for them while they were under his care. Joaquin drove the girls, as requested, to their enrichment and training camp, walked them every day (even before camp) and sent pictures daily. He and his wife, were very attentive to my girls needs, communicated clearly, kept my girls safe, and my girls were happy! I'm definitely going to be using Joaquin again!”

“I got such a good feeling from reading Judy's profile, and when she responded to my message I felt even better about leaving my dog with her. She was so laid back when we did our "meet and greet" and my dog felt comfortable enough to explore her perfectly sized backyard, instead of hoping on my lap and begging to go home! After a while she introduced us to her dogs, and everyone got along. During the week that I was away Judy sent me pictures of the dogs outside, and inside getting cuddles! I'd be sure to book with Judy as soon as possible next time I need a sitter. She's totally worth every penny, and with the dogs all the time.”
