About: I’ve grown up with many cats and different types of dog's. I had a dog that was 19 years old and have been self training my current dog since I got him. Im currently a student at Chico State so I have plenty of time after classes and school. I have plenty of time to walk and play with your pets after 2pm on most weekdays. I make sure there’s no way to escape or places that can hurt your pet if it gets in those places. I would make sure to be attentive and make sure I know what they’re up to.

About: I have owned dogs since childhood and have volunteered at shelters a couple of times. Helping animals in anyway is my passion and I will go out of my way to accommodate to your pets needs. I have only cared for small dogs growing up so I am most comfortable with them. I love animals, growing up I’d want to take in every animal I saw out on the street. Unfortunately that is not suitable for me lol, but I will care for your pet as if it is my own. I enjoy meeting new animals as it can be fun to see how different their personalities present, it also gives me an opportunity to learn and adapt. Please rest assured that they will be in good hands :) I am a part-time student and with summer coming around I am available most week days, including sunday as well. I will be able to attend to your pets from morning to afternoon. But sunday I will be available all day if needed. My schedule is flexible if given a day or two notice. I own one senior chihuahua, attend to stray cats and own fish. With my dog now being a senior, I am able to administrate supplements if needed. I can also attend to other animals in the house if needed. Such as doing water changes for your aquarium or feeding them. I have been a fish keeper for over 3 years. I will do my absolute best to show up however your pet needs.

I follow the instructions exactly as provided feeding schedule, portion sizes, walk times, medication (if any), and any specific behavior or care notes about the pet. For daily care, I make sure the pet gets attention, exercise, and interaction, not just basic needs. That can include walks, playtime, accidents if needed, refreshing water, and making sure the home is kept tidy and secure while I’m there. I’m also careful about safety double checking doors, gates, leashes, and making sure pets don’t get into anything they shouldn’t. I pay attention to how the pet is acting so I can notice any changes in mood, appetite, or behavior and communicate that right away if something seems off. About: I am a Fear Free certified veterinary technician of 13 years who grew up in the show dog world (AKC) before getting into rescue as an adult. Throughout my long-lived animal career I have participated in puppy/kitten/basic obedience training, behavioral rehabilitation, dog sport training, senior care, care for animals with extreme medical needs, and owned/operated a group play doggie daycare. My jobs, hobbies, and passions are all centered around animals and I can't wait to bring that passion to you! I am home full-time, and available for puppies and animals with heavy needs. I have a fairly set schedule for all of the pets in my care, and that level of routine provides comfort to even the most nervous of pups. I am the only Fear Free pet carer in Bakersfield! I provide comforting classical music as well as calming pheromones in the sleeping spaces to make their stay as stress-free as possible. I have a fenced yard and never leave dogs together unsupervised. I do not provide an environment suitable for animals with a history of dog aggression. Small dogs I can be more flexible with, as their attitude usually comes from a place of fear and that is something I can work with for the little guys.
