“Nothing but glowing comments for Devinne! She was so communicative with us while we were gone, left our house spotless and is just overall a lovely human being. It can be nerve-racking leaving your pups for trips - Devinne made us feel SO at ease and for that we are so grateful.”
“We highly recommend Maryjo! She was very professional and showed our dogs just as much love as we would! We were a little nervous at first due to having a special needs dog but she came over for a meet and greet and made a great impression on us and our dogs. So we booked her right away. During the stay she provided us with several updates and pictures which helped put our minds to ease and made it easy to enjoy our vacation. She respected our house and didn't hesitate to ask us questions or permission for anything. I can't say enough good things about her and the high quality care she provides. We will definitely be using her again! Thanks Maryjo!!”

“Casey was great! She gave us an update everyday and included pictures. Her schedule is very flexible and she is so sweet with our dog! We would definitely book her again.”

“Vanessa has watched our animals a couple of times. She is great & our animal's love her! She is super communicative and frequently lets us know how are fur babies are doing. I highly recommend her!”

“Amanda is amazing- I truly can't say that enough. I was at ease my entire vacation because I knew my dog Alice was in great hands. Amanda is communicative, flexible, and dependable. Really everything you want in a sitter . Alice looked so happy in the pictures Amanda sent and was very relaxed when I got home so I knew she was taken care of in my absence. I was impressed when I found a med log Amanda kept during her stay with Alice. She went above and beyond what was asked of her. Amanda will definitely be the first sitter I check-in with for future stays with Alice.”

“I cannot say enough how Adrianna was a blessing for me and my pup kiddos. When I reached out to Adrianna to see if she would be available for the week my husband and I were leaving for a trip to Mexico. She was available for the time and she answered all of my questions. I also mentioned I was with my pups full time and I was concerned with them having someone part time. She offered to visit them throughout the day as she would be staying overnights with them too. Both of my pups are seniors so they had medications and routines they needed. Adrianna was great with staying in touch and sending me pup pics. She was very helpful and flexible as we had flight issues to and from our trip. Thank you Adrianna we give you an A++++++++++🐶🐕🐕🦺”

“Brianne stepped in, and the boys gave her instant VIP access. Sidney, king of the couch, granted his rare blessing. Remy, my shy, cartoonish observer, warmed up quickly. Ryder, full-on Captain Chaos, plopped beside her with bouncing, wiggling energy. She handled all three beautifully with patience, warmth, and a beautiful soul. Came home to happy boys and a peaceful house — I’d book her in a heartbeat! 🐾✨🐾✨💜”

“Nicole is amazing! She's also a pug mom, so after the meet and greet and meeting her fur babies, I knew they were in good hands. Picture updates good communication, just a great person overall! So happy we went on Rover to find her!”

About: I’ve had animals in my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. Because of that, I know how to read different personalities — from shy, anxious pups to high-energy working breeds — and I adjust my care to make every pet feel safe, loved, and understood. I’m especially comfortable with smart, active breeds (like Border Collies and Australian Shepherds) since I have one myself, so I understand how important mental stimulation, structure, and patience are. Whether your dog needs long walks, enrichment play, or just someone calm to sit with them, I’ve got them covered. I’m also experienced with: • Puppies who need consistency, gentle training, and lots of breaks • Senior dogs who may require slower walks, medication reminders, or extra comfort • Dogs with anxiety who need reassurance, routine, and a sitter who won’t rush them Above all, I treat every pet like they’re my own — with attention, communication, and tons of love. Your fur baby’s comfort and safety are always my top priority. I work 8-hour shifts from Thursday to Sunday, but I build pet care into the rest of my week with plenty of flexibility. Monday through Wednesday, I’m completely available for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and cuddles. On the days I do work, I’m still able to offer: • Morning visits before my shift • Evening visits after work • Consistent check-ins depending on the service needed I take my Rover commitments seriously, so I only accept bookings I can fully dedicate time and attention to. Your pet’s routine, comfort, and schedule are always my priority, and I’m great at communicating updates so you know exactly how they’re doing throughout the day. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, I focus on creating a calm, safe, and consistent environment where they can relax and feel loved. In Your Home: I follow your pet’s routine exactly the way you do—feeding times, walk schedules, playtime, and any special instructions. I make sure to: • Keep things clean (litter boxes, food/water areas, crates) • Stick to their normal habits to reduce stress • Provide plenty of attention, enrichment, and comfort • Send regular photo updates so you always feel connected Pets feel safest in their familiar space, so I move gently, respect their boundaries, and let them warm up at their own pace. In My Home: Your pet is treated like family. I provide a cozy, safe space with lots of affection, enrichment toys, and a quiet environment if they need it. I make sure they have: • Fresh water, clean feeding areas, and comfortable resting spots • Frequent playtime, attention, and bathroom breaks • A calm setting for anxious or shy pets • A secure area for pets that need space or slower introductions Whether your pet is energetic, independent, shy, or extra cuddly, I adjust my care to fit their personality and make sure they feel understood and cared for.

I have a very open and flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to spend with your fur babies! I will not leave your pets for any longer than you request. I have a large fenced in yard that is completely secure and safe for your fur babies to explore and enjoy. I have a small dog, a rat terrier, to keep your pets company. Mary Jo was fantastic with our dogs, one is very active and the other a senior dog. She attended to their needs and was very caring during her overnight stay. She was very timely, kept us updated on how the dogs were doing and house was spotless when we returned! So refresh g to have such a wonderful person look after the pups. Would definitely have Mary Jo come back!

I am so happy that we found Amanda to watch our boxer while we were away for 6 days. Oli had never been with anyone outside of family, so of course I was nervous. Amanda has such a sweet demeanor and you can tell for love for animals right away. Oli instantly liked her as well :) Amanda provided daily updates and pictures, and after the first day I could tell that Oli truly enjoyed being with her. Amanda paid special attention to what Oli wanted/needed. When we got home the house looked like we had never left. If you’re looking for a great sitter for your pet, I highly recommend Amanda. You won’t be disappointed!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lake Havasu City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lake Havasu City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lake Havasu City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
