After relocating to Arizona to be closer to my mother, I have structured my schedule in a way that allows me the flexibility to engage in activities that I truly enjoy, such as spending time with and embarking on adventures with our beloved furry companions. I have a knack for forming strong bonds with the pets under my care, and it is not uncommon for me to want to drop by just to say hello every now and then.

Currently, I work as a driver for DoorDash, giving me the freedom to set my own hours. This means that I can easily accommodate my passion for looking after dogs, which I consider to be both a pastime and a form of work that brings me immense joy. In the past, I used to prefer pet-sitting in my own home. However, with my mom's four Shih Tzus joining the family, my household is now a bit crowded. As a result, I have shifted my preference towards caring for pets in their own familiar environment, where they feel the most comfortable. When I stay at your home, I treat it as if it were my own. If feasible, I will bring your furry friends along when I leave, but if not, I ensure they are not left alone for extended periods, typically no more than 2-3 hours, depending on the dog and the circumstances.

Understanding how they interact with other animals is crucial, as it helps me provide the best care possible. If permitted by the owner, I enjoy taking dogs to the dog park for some fun and playtime. I have a deep love for all breeds, and I must admit, the bigger the dog, the more love there is to give!
A typical day
With the owner's consent, I love taking dogs to the dog park, whether it's by the lake or at Sara Park. If the weather is favorable, we will enjoy leisurely strolls around the neighborhood, go on a short hike, or even take a refreshing dip in the lake. Additionally, if feasible, we may visit my home for some Shihtzu doggie playtime, which could involve running through sprinklers, splashing in the doggie pool, exploring the area, and engaging in a game of catch in my spacious double-lot backyard.

I have been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember, frequently taking care of orphaned creatures of various kinds. Over the years, I have dedicated my time to volunteering at a no-kill animal sanctuary for six years and working at a respected pet-sitting business named "Love Them & Leave Them" based in Hawaii for five years. My love for animals knows no bounds! I find their behaviors and capabilities endlessly fascinating and entertaining. Whether big or small, furry or not, old or young, every dog holds a special place in my heart, and I wholeheartedly offer them my care, friendship, and affection.

We cannot recommend Maryjo enough! Finding someone you trust with one dog is hard enough, but finding someone who can comfortably handle a pack of three energetic pups is a whole different level. If you need a reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely caring person to watch your furry family members, look no further. We will definitely be booking her again!
Mary Jo was fantastic with our dogs, one is very active and the other a senior dog. She attended to their needs and was very caring during her overnight stay. She was very timely, kept us updated on how the dogs were doing and house was spotless when we returned! So refresh g to have such a wonderful person look after the pups. Would definitely have Mary Jo come back!
I would recommend Maryjo. I have one skittish dog that went right up to her on our meet and greet. I ended up cancelling at the last minute and she was very caring about the situation. I still paid her of course because this was not her fault. I will contact her again the next time I travel. I chose her because of her reviews and her repeat bookings.
