About: I'm a lifelong dog lover who's been surrounded by dogs since I was born. Puppies, seniors, small, & giant. From Yorkie & Maltese to Rottweiler & Great Dane. I've been rescuing and caring for my own rescue dogs for the past 15 years and also have experience fostering for local animal rescues. Currently, I share my home with my sweet 12 year old senior and an energetic 5 month old puppy so I understand the different needs that come with every stage of a dog's life. I'm comfortable administering medication, reinforcing training, and following your dog's unique routine to help them feel safe and comfortable. I love spending time with animals and would love to give your pup plenty of love, attention, and exercise! I work remotely and build my own schedule so I have plenty of flexible time to spend with your pup! I'm available weekdays and weekends. I have a secure, fenced in yard that can allow your pup the freedom to roam and have fun. I'm comfortable with crate training and I'm always adamant about making sure all animals are secure in their space or on leash before opening any outside doors.
“Alissa was fantastic with my two dogs. One of my dogs requires insulin and she was able to administer it without a problem. Felt very confident that they were in good hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again.”

“Turin did an amazing job with our cat Noah! For the first time we left him for 10 days and felt a bit uneasy about it, but Turin took great care of him. She sent pictures daily so we always felt comfortable and Noah seems to have taken a quick liking as he was even photographed on her lap! Thanks so much Turin! Highly recommended and whenever we go away again I will be sure to call you.”

“Laura was a fantastic help watching our pets! She was super responsive, accommodating, and kind. I know my pets were in great hands with her taking care of them.”

“I had the pleasure of having Kathryn watch my dog and cat over the weekend, and i couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment I met her it was clear that our pets were in good hands. Kathryn was incredibly punctual, and, most importantly, showed genuine affection and care for both of my furry family members. Throughout the weekend, I received regular updates and adorable photos, which reassured us that my pets were happy and well-cared for. Our dog can be quite rambunctious , but he took to Katihryn’s calm and friendly demeanor. She took the time to understand each pet's personality and needs, ensuring they were comfortable and content. When I returned home, my dog and cat were relaxed, well-exercised, and clearly had a wonderful time. It's evident that Kathryn is passionate about animals and takes her job seriously. I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care provided and would highly recommend Kathryn to anyone in need of a reliable and loving pet sitter. We look forward to booking her again in the future! Thank you, for taking such excellent care of our pets!”

“I have a senior dog and I have a cat that hides every time Tammie comes to my house. Which is, uh, fine, because the cat always hides. However, she is so wonderful with my senior dog. She lets him out as many times as he asks. She makes sure that he is OK outside. She never lets him be alone. Uh, she's always checking his food and. Is water. She's also always checking the food in the water for my cat that hides all the time. She is a wonderful caregiver. Compassionate. Absolutely thorough. Wonderful. With my dog. I can't tell you more wonderful things about her because she is fantastic.”

“Cheyenne is our go to sitter for our cat Emmie. We have used her a few times now and are so pleased! She is professional, punctual and has great communication. She is wonderful with Emmie and Emmie adores her. If your looking for a sitter and have peace of mind while your away Cheyenne is definitely the sitter you need. We will hire her again and again.”

“In a single phrase, Cheyenne was "PERFECTLY AWESOME"!!! She was not only prompt, but also caring and attentive to my dog's needs. And, Cheyenne was especially affectionate toward Lilly, which Lilly certainly enjoyed. Too bad there was only five stars to be given! I will DEFINITELY want to book Cheyenne in the future!”

About: Experienced pet sitter and animal lover. I've worked in animal rescue, done trap-neuter-release, cared for a colony of feral cats for a decade, and fostered more kittens and adult cats than I can count. I offer visits, walks, overnight stays, or I can live at your house while you are away. I am a nature and wildlife photographer so I have gotten to know, to one degree or the other, all of the animals around my home, which, I believe, helps to make me comfortable with all types of pets. I also offer pet portraits! I have experience with all of the usual pets, plus a few unusual ones too. I will take good care of your dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles, small animals and even tarantulas or insects. I will treat your pets as if they were my own and I will let you know how the visits are going. Your pets will be safe and well cared for with me. I have a regular part time job with a flexible schedule so can be available just about anytime. Let me know what you need and we can work it out. Home visits run about a 1/2 an hour and include, depending upon your pet, a walk, poop scoop, litter box cleaning, feeding, watering and treat dispensing, and pats and cuddles.
“Kimberly was great with cat while I was on vacation for a week. He’s never been home alone for that long before so I was a little worried but Kimberly made sure he felt loved. I would highly recommend her to anyone and will definitely use her in the future!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
