“Caitlin was so great with our babies! She was able to get my super shy cat to eat, which is always difficult to achieve with a new person. She was very communicative and made us feel totally at ease.”

I'm able to accommodate feeding schedules, walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and plenty of one-on-one attention while making sure your pet stays comfortable, happy, and cared for while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I'll carefully follow all instructions, maintain their normal routine, and ensure they always have fresh water, food, and a clean environment. I'll keep doors and gates secure, provide plenty of attention, and send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands.
About: I have taken care of many animals my entire life. I have been pet sitting for my family for many years either for adult dogs or puppies, cats and kittens. I love all animals and throughly enjoy spending time with animals. I love playing fetch, going on walks and cuddle times. I am currently a stay at home mom. Both my children are in school now so I have time to spend loving on animals during the day. I am available on weekdays 7:30am-2pm and 6:30pm-9:30pm. On weekends I’m pretty much available all day. I have a large fenced in back yard, I have one dog and one cat. I can crate a dog if needed. I am happy to feed, water and walk your animals.
“Lauren & Joseph took great care of our GSD russ while we were out on vacation! Photos of every drop-in were provided and communication was excellent. They went above and beyond by cleaning up after our dog in his backyard area!! Would definitely suggest going with them if you’re looking for exceptional care and will definitely be using them in the future!!”

“Heather provided us with exceptional service and kept us updated with information concerning PD. We are very happy with the services provided. Our situation is unusual since PD is a stray cat and is only comfortable with me and after a vet visit and requesting boarding the vet made it clear that boarding could do more harm to the health of PD so we had to look to alternative care which Heather provided. We can't thank her enough for keeping an eye on PD and providing daily water and food. I could breath a bit easier while away knowing Heather was monitoring PD.”
About: Not only have I worked with animals my whole life I also work with dogs specifically with a rescue organization called AdoptMeBluegrass. I help with their animal care weekly and am part of their foster program. My family and my own dogs have welcomed hundreds of others into our home and always provide excellent care. I am a local landlord and typically only go out to work at the pet adoption center for AdoptMeBluegrass. I have no set work hours. I spend my time with the dogs. I have a double fenced property on a dead end street. Dogs love the 3/4 dedicated dog yard for them to play on our 6 acres of land. We have crates and can make your pet feel right at home. I’m a treats giver so let me know if there is something they can’t have or any other dietary restrictions. I can also come to your pet for services while you are away.
“Jim was so easy to work with when we needed someone to come let Hershey out late at night with little notice. He arrived on time, sent us pictures, and was so sweet to our baby! I would recommend him to anyone and will definitely use him in the future!”

About: I have over 18 years of hands-on experience working with animals and take pride in providing safe, knowledgeable care for every pet I work with. I’ve trained multiple dogs in behavioral rehabilitation and personal protection, which has given me strong skills in reading body language and handling a wide range of temperaments. I also have experience working as a veterinary technician, so I’m comfortable monitoring pets for health concerns and administering medications if needed. In addition to dogs and cats, I have extensive experience training and handling horses, which has helped me develop patience, consistency, and a deep understanding of animal behavior. I truly care about the animals in my care and believe every pet deserves attentive, reliable, and compassionate treatment while their owners are away. I work from home so I have all the hours to dedicate to your pets and provide the best care possible. Book with me today! I have a full fenced in farm with the ability to keep your furbaby separate from other animals or the ability to let your fur babies play with others. Crates are available as well.
“Ashley is amazing!!! She took such great care of our kitties while when we gone! I never worried about our fur babies because I knew they were in great hands! We will definitely hire her again! She is just awesome. My husband calls her the cat whisperer. To our kitties, she is now Aunt Ashley.”

I have experience with puppies, adults and elderly dogs alike, big and small! I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I work pet care into my daily routine and plan my schedule around walks and drop in visits. I prioritize reliability and consistency so pets stay comfortable and on their normal routine. I enjoy being active and flexible, so it’s easy for me to fit pet care in consistently during the week. About: Hello! I am a senior at the University of Kentucky. I have grown up around animals my entire life, and I would love the opportunity to take care of your pets! I am currently working part time, and my schedule is flexible. I have the most availability in the evenings, and I am willing to accommodate your schedule. I love to play with animals, and I will be sure to take good care of your pets! I am willing to provide any services needed to ensure that you are comfortable.
About: As a graduate student and lifelong animal lover, I bring both reliability and genuine care to every pet I work with. I have experience caring for dogs and cats, and I’m especially comfortable with larger breeds and pets with unique personalities. I have my own 8-year-old chow-shepherd mix, so daily long walks, patience, and attentive care are already a huge part of my routine. I also have experience caring for senior pets and understand the importance of slower pacing, medication routines, mobility awareness, and extra comfort and patience. Whether your pet loves active walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply calm companionship, I tailor my care to their individual needs and personality. I’m dependable, observant, communicative, and committed to making sure your pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine since I already spend a lot of time walking and caring for my own dog every day. I currently have full availability on Wednesdays and weekends (Saturday and Sunday), and I’m also available for evening walks and drop-ins on weekdays between 7–9 PM. I genuinely enjoy being active, spending time outdoors, and giving animals attention and care, so incorporating pet care into my weekly schedule is something I truly look forward to. I adapt my care to each pet’s individual routine and needs to help them feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Whether that means long walks, playtime, feeding schedules, giving medicine, potty breaks, check-ins, cuddle time, or simply providing calm companionship, I’m happy to do it all. I know how important consistency is for pets, so I always aim to follow the owner’s instructions closely while giving every animal plenty of attention, patience, and care.
About: I’ve worked with dogs for over 20 years, with much of that time spent walking and handling shelter dogs—especially those that are anxious or unsure. That experience taught me how important calm, structure, and consistency are in helping dogs feel more confident. I run Trail & Heel, a dog training and adventure-based care service in Louisville. I focus on practical, real-world training—whether that’s working with puppies, improving leash manners, or helping nervous dogs build confidence. Every walk and interaction is handled with intention. For me, care and training go hand in hand, with the goal of helping dogs become calmer, more reliable, and easier to live with. Caring for dogs is already part of my everyday life, so it fits naturally into my routine. I plan my schedule around the dogs I’m working with so I’m not rushing between visits. That means each dog gets calm, consistent attention and a much better experience overall. Care is always tailored to the dog and the service, but the approach stays consistent: calm, structured, and intentional. In a client’s home, I stick closely to their routine—feeding, potty breaks, exercise, and any specific instructions—while also reinforcing good habits like leash manners, calm greetings, and settling. In my home, I keep the environment structured and low-stress. Dogs get supervised time, appropriate exercise (including trail walks when it’s a good fit), and clear boundaries so they can relax and succeed. I only take on a small number of dogs at a time to make sure each one gets the attention they need.
About: I’ve always been around animals, and caring for them comes very naturally to me. I currently work at Happy Hounds, a dog daycare, where I’ve been caring for dogs for nearly two years. During this time, I’ve gained hands-on experience with dogs of many different personalities, energy levels, and needs, including feeding routines, walking, cleaning, playtime, and making sure dogs feel safe and comfortable in my care. I’ve also volunteered at the humane society, which taught me how to work patiently with animals who may be nervous, shy, or adjusting to new environments. I understand the importance of reading body language, moving at the animal’s pace, and providing calm, consistent care. At home, I have my own dog, a pug, and my own cat, so I’m very familiar with daily pet routines, different temperaments, and the individual attention pets need. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats, and I am able to administer medication when needed, always following instructions carefully to keep pets healthy and stress-free. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, or extra attention and cuddles, I treat every pet like they’re my own. Pet parents can count on me to be reliable, communicative, and attentive, and I always strive to provide safe, loving care while you’re away. Pet care is a consistent part of my daily routine. I plan my schedule carefully around work and school so I can provide reliable, attentive care. On days when I have class or longer work shifts, I’m available in the mornings or evenings, and on lighter days and weekends I have more flexibility for visits, walks, and extended care. Because I care for my own dog and cat every day, I’m very familiar with maintaining routines like feeding, walking, and playtime. When I have school, my dog attends the dog daycare where I work, so she stays active, socialized, and well cared for instead of being home alone. This allows me to fully focus on the pets I’m caring for and keep everyone comfortable and happy. I prioritize consistency and communication so pet parents can feel confident their pets are receiving dependable, loving care throughout the week. Availability: Mondays: Available mornings and evenings (unavailable 9am–3pm due to class) • Tuesdays: Available evenings only (message for actual times) • Wednesdays: Available mornings and evenings (unavailable 9am–3pm due to class) • Thursdays: Available evenings only (Message for actual times) • Fridays: Available late afternoons/evenings (working 7am–1pm and class 2pm–3pm) • Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): Generally available and flexible I prefer to care for pets in their own home, as it’s less stressful for them to stay in a familiar environment and routine. Caring for pets in their own home also makes it more convenient for clients, as there’s no need to transport your pet. I adapt to each pet’s personality and needs, whether they’re energetic and playful or calm and shy.
About: My husband and I have had dogs our entire life both big and small. We currently have a medium dog who is a dream to walk, and a large dog who walks us but we love both just the same! We would love to host your fur baby at our house or drop in just to give them some love! We have 2 kids who have been raised around animals. Our normal attire is dog hair so we’re not afraid of some shedding. We haven’t been able to stretch our legs out in our bed in 10 years because no matter how comfy our dogs bed is they always end up on ours so we don’t mind if they are on our furniture or bed!
About: I have 2 dogs of my own, a boxer and a black lab. I’ve had dogs my whole life and I love them. I’ve taken care of my neighbors dogs, cats, chickens, etc. multiple times throughout the years so I’m experienced and reliable! Im available throughout the week and weekends. I am able to be home in the afternoons and evenings and I have my mornings free as well. I have a fenced in back yard, and 2 dogs that love to play. I have 2 crates so my dogs can be put away if needed. I love my dogs and I love having the opportunity to look after other peoples as well!
About: Hey! My name is Megan. I have had the privilege of working with animals for the past two years. I have a pretty diverse background which includes a year of experience in a veterinary clinic, where I assisted with feeding, walking and companionship with the dogs. In addition, I’ve spent time taking care of horses delving into the equestrian world. Recently, I have been pet sitting and doing drop ins for friends and family, which consists of feeding, walking and playing with the dogs. I have also owned both dogs and cats throughout my entire life! I am currently in school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-12ish. So my schedule is pretty open and flexible. I do work as a pharmacy technician 1-2 days a week sometimes but if I am pet sitting I typically do not do that. While I don’t provide any services in my house I am a very kind and approachable. I feel this creates a safe environment for the pets and a trustworthy environment for the owners.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
