“Isabella was a great sitter-caretaker-friend-gentle leader for my dog and two cats. Conscientious communicator which is always appreciated. Thank you for the high quality care Isabella.”

“Jen was an outstanding cat sitter. She accepted my last minute request and immediately made me feel comfortable leaving my cat in her care. My cat requires multiple medications throughout the day, and she handled everything flawlessly. She was kind, attentive, and even took the initiative to research my cat’s condition to better understand his needs. Coming home to a clean house and litter box was so nice after a long day of travel. I couldn’t have asked for better care—highly recommended!”

“Allore did a great job watching my pets while I was out of town. She sent lots of pictures and was very communicative. I could tell my pets were comfortable and when I got home everything was in order. Will definitely be booking with her again”

“Andrew is the best! He was very attentive to our cats and send photos daily. We weren’t worried at all! Communication was wonderful and no issues at all. Would highly recommend him.”

“Logan was the first house sitter we have ever had for our dog Max and he helped us feel at ease. He was willing to come to our home on two separate occasions for meet and greets prior to us going out of town, to see our early morning breakfast routine, medication administration, and walk. We found him to be very understanding when we presented him with a two-page document discussing everything he would need to know about how to care for Max and our home. He sent us great photos of Max while we were away, and Max was very calm upon our return. He was very easy going and willing to stay longer at our home when our return flight was delayed by two hours. We would definitely recommend Logan as a responsible and reliable pet sitter.”

“We did a meet and greet prior to leaving our girls. They loved Morgan immediately. When Morgan arrived today, the girls greeted her tails wagging '. We came home to two very happy pups. Thanks Morgan.”

“Eileen was absolutely wonderful! She took such great care of Maeva, Maude, and Vito, and I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. She sent so many photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious they were well cared for and loved.❤️ She also left my home spotless, which I really appreciated. I’m so thankful I found her and would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 12, including my own Pekingese and my family members dogs. Every dog to me are babies no matter how big or small they are. They deserve the best care which I can give them. I adapt fast to any type of personality. Dogs just like humans have their own unique personalities. I’m currently back from college and I have plenty of time to take care of your babies. I currently am looking for a part-time job which still leaves me with a lot of time to look after your pups. I have one friendly Pekingese, who can keep your dog company if needed. I will always make sure to clean up after the pups. I will always leave your home the same way it was when I arrived
“Cristel took the most amazing care of our dog and cat while we went away for a week. She has a very warm personality. Our dog loved her from the second he met her. Our very shy cat even came out to spend time with her. She’s very professional and thorough. She sent us great texts and pictures every day. We had such a great vacation because she made us feel very relaxed and comfortable that our fur babies were in great hands. She made us feel like she loved them as much as we do. We came home to a spotless house. It looked like it was deep cleaned. I can honestly say she’s one of the best caregivers we’ve ever met. I highly, highly recommend her.”
“Shelby was awesome to have stay with our two dogs overnight for the week. She took good care of them, played walked and sent great pictures and kept us up to date. Look forward to having Shelby take care of our girls again.”

About: Hi! I’m Brooke, and I’m a lifelong animal lover who understands that pets are family. I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines—from relaxed couch companions to active walkers who love to explore. I’m dependable, communicative, and attentive to detail, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your dog needs long walks, playtime, feeding, or just some extra love while you’re away, I’m happy to help. I pride myself on sending regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. I’d love to meet you and your furry friend! Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I intentionally structure my schedule to allow dedicated time for walks, drop-in visits, and consistent care without rushing. This flexibility allows me to be reliable, punctual, and fully present during each visit. I care for pets by following their established routines and prioritizing safety, comfort, and individual needs—whether I’m in your home for a drop-in visit or out on a walk. I carefully review all instructions related to feeding, walking routes, harnesses, training cues, and any special care needs. For drop-in visits, I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get bathroom breaks, exercise, and plenty of attention. I also check the home environment to ensure everything is secure and clean before I leave. For walks, I focus on safe leash handling, awareness of surroundings, and pacing the walk to your dog’s energy level and comfort. Communication is important to me, so I always provide updates after each visit or walk so you know how your pet is doing. My goal is to make every experience calm, consistent, and positive—for both you and your pet.
About: I offer more than just a visit; I provide individualized management that caters to the specific energetic needs of a puppy and the emotional security required by your adult/senior dogs. My routine is built around serving the typical 9-to-5 workday schedule with guaranteed morning, midday (if needed), and evening visits, plus complete flexibility on the weekends. I ensure your dogs' routine is strictly followed feeding, walking, and house rules. You’ll receive multiple photo updates after every visit for peace of mind.
“My husband and I are new to the area and don’t know many people yet, so using Rover for the first time made us a little nerve wracking. Briana was absolutely AMAZING and took such incredible care of our dog. He truly loved her, which made us feel even more at ease. She went above and beyond, sending tons of pictures and frequent updates throughout the day which completely put our minds at ease. Knowing our boy was in such loving and capable hands meant everything to us, and we will 100% be using her again!”

About: Since I was born, I’ve always had dogs! Over my life, I’ve had seven dogs of my own. I currently have 3 large dogs, one medium. Since I was ten, me and my family have been fostering dozens of dogs of all different kinds! Newborn puppies, seniors, and every puppy in between. I’ve dealt with aggressive dogs, skittish dogs, and nervous nellies. I love dogs no matter what! Since beginning to foster, I’ve had to train many dogs, both younger and older. I’m skilled in leash training, commands (sit/lay/come), and much more. As of right now, my schedule is completely open! I am happy to accommodate to early mornings, late nights, and everything in between to fit you and your puppy’s needs! I live in the woods, far from dangerous, busy roads. I have PLENTY of room for running, playing, and walking. I have multiple walking trails behind my house, as well as a pond that my puppies love to play in. I currently have two very friendly dogs at my house, who can be separated need be via a soft gate I have in my home. I have multiple crates available if your puppy needs it. My house is full of toys, treats, and dog beds. A dog’s paradise! If not in my home, I will be sure to abide by all house rules set by my client!
“Maurie has been a dream petsitter...she has a sixth in dealing with animals. Ever since we first contracted with Maurie to stay in our home and care for our four pets (two cats and two dogs), we've noticed distinct positive outcomes. Our pets are visibly calmer, happier, more rested, and less agitated and anxious. They all appear healthier and more trim. Maurie promotes long walks and consistent interaction with them, and she doesn't overdue giving them treats. Maurie is the greatest person...we recommend her wholeheartedly as a petsitter! Shawn and Jen McGlynn”

About: I love dogs so much that I adopted a puppy for my dog, who I could tell wanted a friend. I am known to spend all day with my dogs taking them out on doggie dates. We often visit others at the pet store or at the dog park. My older dog loves to run and loves to meet other dogs. My youngest is an adventurer. I have been in a dog-friendly home since I was 9. Cared for my great grandmother at an early age and my first dog as well. I believe that paying attention to your dog is one way to learn from them about what they need. So you can give them the life they can love. Training-wise, I believe in positive reinforcement and the repetition of rewarding good behavior. I work full-time at home M-F, off weekends. My fianceé is home during the afternoon (and will be after COVID) and nights. His work schedule is mornings, off M-W. This makes us uniquely flexible to meet your needs. Our house is a one-story. So you do not need to worry about stairs. We live in a wooded community away from heavy traffic. We have dog runners, which allow the dog to roam outside at his or her own pace while supervised. We live near a dog park that is well-maintained and has separated fences for small or large size dogs. We have a puppy called Dudley and an adult dog named Duke at home that are very friendly and well socilaized. Dudley's favorite game is tug of war. Duke loves to run, meet dog buddies, and eat his bones.
“Matt took phenomenal care of our two pups while we were away. He was extremely communicative and got them both tons of exercise and play. I would highly recommend Matt to anyone looking for the best care for their pets!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 337 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across La Anna. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred La Anna walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in La Anna maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in La Anna choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in La Anna. On Rover:

- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
