About: I’ve always loved animals of all shapes and sizes, and got my pup, Murphy about 3 years ago. Although he’s the family dog I was the main caretaker for him and as a puppy taught him basic commands as well as house trained him. I don’t have much personal experience with cats, however, my grandparents had a few growing up and I always enjoyed simply admiring them or playing with them every time I visited. Additionally, I fostered a kitten for a summer and loved the experience! I’m currently away from home for college and miss hanging out around animals; I would love to show your pet some love <3 I’m currently working part time so I’m available most of the week. I enjoy walks with my boyfriend on local trails and around the neighborhood, so the addition of your pet would be no problem at all! If needed, my apartment is pet friendly, I have no kids, and like to keep my space tidy which makes for a versatile space for all needs. I understand that routine is important and would love to help make that easier for the days where it might not be possible. I also hugely value respect in all aspects whether it’s time, space, overall treatment towards another, etc. I think that’s a crucial way to make not only you as a pet owner feel safe but your pet as well.

Erik has been wonderful. He is available during my last minute lunch meetings, or pop up events, to let my puppy out and stretch her legs during a walk. She was shy on the leash when I first adopted her but he has improved her tolerance for walking and is showing improvements. He is so patient and updates me with pictures which is so sweet to see her enjoying each other's company! I am so grateful and happy I found Erik on Rover. You will not be disappointed in booking with him for your pups next walk!

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 12 years old, from my own family dogs to friends dogs while away. I have also worked in boarding kennels and was a wildlife rehabilitator for over 5 years! I have extensive knowledge in a medical background so giving your pets any medication won't be a problem. I understand that every dog has a unique routine and I know that following this routine will make them feel the most comfortable! I have experience with cats and exotic pets. Let me care for your dog while you are away! I am a SAHM so my schedule is very flexible. That being said, my children will often be with me for walks and drop-in visits. I am a stay at home mom so pet care fits into my routine easily. My schedule is extremely flexible but I will need to bring my children with me I can accommodate any routine that they are used to. If that means kenneling them when I leave or they only like a certain route to be walked along, I can do it!

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was five years old. My family has owned a Dalmatian, Black Lab, and a German Shepherd mix. Always was the go to “dog sitter” for friends/family growing up! Since moving out and living on my own, I welcomed a mini Dachshund named Bentley. He is the best addition and just the sweetest little guy. I have huge heart and have always cared immensely about animals. I currently work full time, but my weekends are usually always open! I’d love to care for your pet while you’re away! I’ll also accept Venmo/Paypal as well as cash if that option works better for you. I live in a condo that isn’t the most spacious and I do not have a fenced in yard, but I have walking paths around my complex as well as a dog park half a mile away. Exercise is a must, so your dog will definitely have plenty of play time!

Caterina and Josiah were absolutely perfect - communicative, dependable, interested in the dogs' individual needs, clear about our expectations and needs and great with the dogs.. Caterina did the walking most of the time and let us know if it would be Josiah at any time. We received pictures and information for each walk, even though we live in an area where cell service is sketchy. We are grateful!

About: I grew up with a variety of pets, and I thoroughly love all kinds of animals! My family had a dog about 19years, and we took care of him from puppy years to old age. I have my own dog, Roxy a collie mix, who I raised by myself from 4mo old and she has learned so much! I am a travel nurse so I’m not from the area and I am free any day that I’m not working! I typically do 3 - 12hr night shifts. Since I am not from the area I cannot take animals into my own place, but I am very flexible and willing to accommodate any way that is needed for you and your pet's needs.

Whether you have a playful pup, a cuddly kitty, or a senior pet with special needs—I’m here to provide dependable, loving care tailored to their needs. In addition to working at a humane society—where I walked, groomed, medicated, and supported dogs of all breeds—I’ve also been a trusted, independent pet sitter for many years. About: I've taken care of dogs and cats of various sizes and ages for as long as I can remember. I pride myself on providing the highest quality care and attention that all animals deserve. I love animals of all kinds, and my goal is to make their time apart from their owners as stress-free and enjoyable as possible! I'm well versed in animal body language, oral medication administration, and senior care. I'm available to do last-minute bookings, early mornings, late nights, holidays—you name it! I have plenty of time to accommodate you and your pet's needs! I'd love to know everything I can about your pet(s) to allow for the best possible experience! I also won't shy away from cleaning up after your pets and will adhere to specified household rules. Boarding is available on a case-by-case basis, as I only board one family pet(s) at a time. Because of the cats that I have, boarding is done in a separate living space away from the house. It's fully furnished, has heat and air conditioning, and is about the size of a studio apartment. I also live on 80 acres with plenty of walking trails in the woods, well-managed fields, and even a small pond. I will be with your pets the entire duration of their stay and will get them out multiple times during the day! If you request that I take them out on the walking trails, I do ask that your pets have tick medication on them.

Jesicka is an amazing pet caregiver! She is conscientious, dedicated, communicative, and knowledgeable; she came to my rescue when I needed to leave for a trip and the caregiver I had hired had to back out. Jesicka enthusiastically accepted and took my dog, Tigger, on walks every day for a week. Tigger instantly felt comfortable with her and looked for her to come every day. I would highly recommend her as someone who will take care of your pet as if it were her own; I could not have asked for anyone better to take care of my boy.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
