About: Hey! I am currently in school to be a vet! I can walk dogs 24/7 and give them all the loving! This would be a great way for me to expand my jobs with watching your dogs! I usually am up by 8am and spend most of the day with my dog while I do schooling at home. I’m mostly free of the day besides for leaving for work or getting my brother! I have a small dog who I feed, walk & play with. We do have a dog run in my apartments and I always take my dog out to play with his toys. I also love taking him for runs.

About: I have been surrounded by all sorts of pets since childhood - from dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, turtles, and fish! There isn’t an animal that I don’t love. I am a pet parent myself to 3 incredible dogs, including a pit bull, Saint Bernard, and a German Wirehaired Pointer. I have experience with specific breeds of dogs who have very specific needs and love to participate in their training! Pets are family to me and I would love to make sure your family is well taken care of, always! I am currently transitioning from full time to part time work so I will have even more time to play and care for your pets! I work 9 am until 5:30 pm on the days that I do work so I am able to maintain a routine schedule for your animals if that is what they need! I have experience caring for multiple dogs at a time, especially dealing with different personalities, training needs, play styles, and temperaments. I am able to gauge any situation to ensure safety is the top priority.

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors, friends and families dogs since I can remember. From single old pups to a house of 10 dogs and cats I’m currently off and free every Monday-Thursday after 2-3pm. Sometimes even as early as 10am. I’m open all afternoon and well into the next morning till 6am. I can only offer to take care of pets at your property, they’d rather be home anyways right? I find that animals prefer a new person in their own nest rather than in a strange new environment.

About: My name is Kayela but you can call me Kaye. I am a nurse in Virginia Beach. But my real other passion is animals. A year prior to going into human medicine, I worked in the I veterinary field as a veterinary technician/assistant. I actually had plans to go to vet school, and then Covid hit; my pathway changed a little. But I don’t want that to stop me from making a difference in the animal world. I worked in the professional veterinary field for 5 years. I worked with all breeds, species, shapes, and colors of animals. I’ve worked with large animals, small animals, diseased and disabled animals. Therefore it would no reason for me not to accept your pet. I have animals of my own as well, 1 large breed dogs and 1 domestic short hair cat. I will love your animals like my own, cuddling included. I do have an extensive history of skills related to animal care as well. If you or your family have animals questions, concerns, or just curiosity in general about your animals well being, feel free to ask! I am starting to build a small clientele currently. I care for my animals more than the average person, due to the fact that I have worked in the animal medicine field. I believe a lot of issues/illnesses are preventable based on how you care for your pet. They are treated like humans in my opinion. They deserve the same attention, the same outdoor time, the same affection. They will be fed accordingly. I will also provide food recommendations as well as portion sizes based on my assessment. About: I have always had a deep love for animals of every kind, from the smallest creatures to the most majestic. That passion naturally led me to become actively involved in animal welfare, eventually serving as the director of a nonprofit rescue organization. In that role, I dedicated myself to protecting vulnerable animals, coordinating care and rehabilitation efforts, and helping them find safe, loving homes. About: I grew up on a farm where I cared for upwards of 20+ family dogs (of all ages, sizes, and demeanors), many cats, horses, miniature ponies, chickens, and more. If it has four legs, chances are I have probably cared for one at least once in my lifetime. Our house always had at least three or four dogs at a time, so I am well versed in the art of managing multiple strong personalities at once. My first dog I adopted myself was special needs beagle, and I am very comfortable with assisting with dogs who have higher needs. That beagle lived a long happy life before he crossed that rainbow bridge, and I've just welcomed in a bloodhound puppy about a year ago named Gus. He is a wonderful testament to the hard work my partner and I have dedicated to turning him into a good dog, and he plays well with any dog he meets, no matter if they play rough or gentle, or if they're timid or chaotic. I am also a registered nurse and I am a quick study to any health needs your pet may have. I am local to the OBX and have many different options up my sleeve when it comes to keeping your pup entertained and active during our time together, as well as knowledge of where to avoid so that your pup doesn't end up with any sand spurs. I've handled dogs all my life, and have yet to meet a dog who challenged me (even aggressive ones who had run off previous sitters). I look forward to hearing about you and your pups needs and providing attention to detail and rounded care to your dog as if they were my own. I work as a middle school nurse from the second week in August to the first week in June. My summers allow me to have open availability to serve the pet owner community. If you have pet care needs during the school year, I do have availability on weekends, or after 4pm on week days. I intend to treat the dogs I care for as my own, so the structure I follow mirrors how I work with my own dog. Dogs get potty breaks and brief walks at minimum every three hours, more often if the weather is good. Once or twice a day (weather permitting) I go for what I call "a big romp" -- this can be running and playing fetch on a small private soundside beach within my neighborhood, a walk on the big beach, a visit to the dog park (which would only happen if owner and I have discussed this), a stroll through Nags Head Woods or around the Wright Brother's monument. As we move into summer, these activities will be limited by the heat so I tend to do these early in the day or at sunset/dusk to avoid dogs overheating. I always carry with me some treats and a bottle of water for the doggo. If the weather is poor or it's just too hot for larger scale activities, I like to invoke puzzle toys, treats wrapped up in towels, or burying treats and toys in the dig pit I've built in my back yard.

About: My family has tradition of owning pugs and now I own my own pet. I've always been around animals from in my own home to looking after my friends pets. I have taken care of labs, poodles and collies to name a few breeds I have dog sat for. I have the patience, friendliness and responsibility to take care of any breed, age, gender and size. About: Hello, I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, and turtles. For the past four years, I’ve mostly been house-sitting/taking care of a good neighbor/friend turtle who I love dearly. I’ve put her to bed and cleaned her cage, along with feeding her while sitting with her for 3+ hours most days. I’ve learned to care for pets as if they are my own and love all animals. :)) Pet care is a vital and seamless part of my daily and weekly routine. Over the past four years, I have taken care of dogs, cats, and especially a neighbor's turtle, who I have grown to love dearly.
