“Sarah was absolutely amazing! She followed every instruction I left, respected my home, and truly went above and beyond. She brought her own toys to keep my cats entertained, which I really appreciated, and she kept me updated with excellent communication throughout the entire booking. I loved receiving the many pictures she sent because they gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that she genuinely cared for my pets and treated them like her own. I came home to happy cats, and everything was exactly as I had left it. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. I will definitely be booking with Sarah again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable, thoughtful, and caring!”

“Lacey did an amazing job caring for our cat while we were away. She communicated regularly and sent some amazing pictures of our girl to let us know she was doing alright. With most of our cats needs already being met we were looking for someone who would give her attention and affection and Lacey was perfect. Thanks again!!”

About: My family has tradition of owning pugs and now I own my own pet. I've always been around animals from in my own home to looking after my friends pets. About: Hello, I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, and turtles. For the past four years, I’ve mostly been house-sitting/taking care of a good neighbor/friend turtle who I love dearly. I’ve put her to bed and cleaned her cage, along with feeding her while sitting with her for 3+ hours most days. I’ve learned to care for pets as if they are my own and love all animals. :)) Pet care is a vital and seamless part of my daily and weekly routine. Over the past four years, I have taken care of dogs, cats, and especially a neighbor's turtle, who I have grown to love dearly. Each day, I ensure that she is fed and her cage is cleaned, and I spend over three hours sitting with her, ensuring she feels loved and cared for. This routine has taught me to care for pets as if they were my own and deepened my love for all animals. Incorporating pet care into my schedule is crucial to me. I ensure my pet is happy and healthy, from morning walks to evening snuggles. Every activity, whether feeding, brushing, or playing, is an opportunity to deepen our bond and show my pets the love and attention they deserve. Balancing pet care with my other responsibilities, such as my involvement in ROTC at Norwich University for the past three years, has honed my discipline and time management skills. In addition to my ROTC commitments this summer, I am taking summer courses and have lacrosse practices. Despite these busy schedules, I always ensure that pet care remains integral to my routine, reflecting my dedication to their well-being. As a dedicated pet caregiver/Owner, my approach to pet care is tailored to the pet's needs and the environment. I prioritize creating a safe and nurturing space in my own home or while providing services for clients. This includes regular feeding schedules, enriching activities such as walks or playtime, administering medications if needed, and maintaining cleanliness through regular grooming and sanitation practices. Additionally, I strive to provide ample affection and attention to ensure each pet feels valued and loved, whether under my roof or in the comfort of a client's home.

About: As a cat owner myself, I understand how important it is to know your pet is in caring, trustworthy hands while you're away. I have firsthand experience caring for my own cat and know that every cat has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level. Whether your cat loves attention or prefers their own space, I'll respect their needs and make sure they feel safe and comfortable.

“Tiana was so amazing!! I was moving to the area that day and had a lease meeting and needed a last minute dog sitter. She had a very quick response time, was super sweet and my babies were happy and healthy! Can’t wait to use her again!!”

My wife loves snuggles and always looking for another blanket buddy We have a large yard and one friendly toddler looking for her next best friend. Overall it is a quiet home with lots of space.
About: We have always had a dog in the home and always will - that's a rule of life. We love the outdoors and have some chickens and plan on getting goats. My husband also works the same style shifts and we have a live-in au pair for childcare, but I am your dedicated sitter! We have 3 acres for your dog to play in and a friendly dog and toddler. About: I’ve had dogs in my home my entire life and have always been an animal lover ever since I was a child! A fun little backstory about me...most teenagers get jobs to have money to go to the mall or whatever it is that they want to do, well my goal was to save up all the money I made and get my own puppy. That was one of the best things I ever did, I had her for 16 years. Other than having dogs all my life, I also have kennel technician and veterinary assistant experience. Before I moved back to North Carolina, I was working the front desk at a non profit animal hospital. I feel that I am a very genuine and good hearted person. I am willing to walk/jog/run/play fetch, honestly, I will do pretty much anything to make them happy while you’re away and would love to build a relationship with your fur baby!! I’m a stay at home mom, so my schedule is pretty open every day!♥️. It’s just my 4 year old and I until about 4pm Monday-Friday, so as long as your fur baby is good with kids anytime from early morning until then works! After 4 I have open availability without him (incase your baby isn’t good with kids). My weekends are generally 100% open so I’d love to help in any way that I can! Hope to hear from you!! 🤗 I can care for your pet(s) in my home or yours. Whichever you prefer. I promise I will always make sure that they feel comfortable, loved, and happy.

“ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Kathleen is so great, she kept us updated throughout the whole day and even sent videos of Lola! I would definitely recommend her to anyone and will be booking with her again!”

About: My name is Kayela but you can call me Kaye. I am a nurse in Virginia Beach. But my real other passion is animals. A year prior to going into human medicine, I worked in the I veterinary field as a veterinary technician/assistant. I actually had plans to go to vet school, and then Covid hit; my pathway changed a little. But I don’t want that to stop me from making a difference in the animal world. I worked in the professional veterinary field for 5 years. I worked with all breeds, species, shapes, and colors of animals. I’ve worked with large animals, small animals, diseased and disabled animals. Therefore it would no reason for me not to accept your pet. I have animals of my own as well, 1 large breed dogs and 1 domestic short hair cat. I will love your animals like my own, cuddling included. I do have an extensive history of skills related to animal care as well. If you or your family have animals questions, concerns, or just curiosity in general about your animals well being, feel free to ask! I am starting to build a small clientele currently. I am open right now. Schedule could change. But just message me and we can work something out. I care for my animals more than the average person, due to the fact that I have worked in the animal medicine field. I believe a lot of issues/illnesses are preventable based on how you care for your pet. They are treated like humans in my opinion. They deserve the same attention, the same outdoor time, the same affection. They will be fed accordingly. I will also provide food recommendations as well as portion sizes based on my assessment. You can choose to follow my recommendations or continue to follow your own advice. I believe I can be very helpful with you and your care for your pets.

About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of this year :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours WEDNESDAY thru SATURDAY. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Sunday thru Tuesday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. Quality. Compassionate. Care. is what I provide pets. I want them to have the creature comforts that make them feel all warm and comfy and content.
About: My name is Cait and I am excited to meet your furry friend! I have experience with pets of all shapes, ages, and sizes! While growing up a joke was that my dad had a zoo & I don’t disagree. From medication administration to cuddles and playtime I will do it all! I am currently taking time off from my nursing career while preparing for my wedding/honeymoon, so I am 100% free at this time and looking for something additional to do :) I really love going on walks and staying active, so if that is something you need I’d be happy to do rain or shine! That is if you don’t mind the smell of wet doggo😊 The only thing I ask is that you make sure their collar properly fits, I can chase but would prefer not to need to! I have done home visits in the past, and in college have stayed up to two weeks at someone’s house pet sitting. (Three cats and two big dogs, it was a heck of a time.) Though I won’t do overnights at someone’s home again, mainly because of my career, I absolutely would love to drop by for play dates or to simply let the pet out. If we talk I also may be happy for a cat to stay with me an extended time (must be fixed)! The longest time a cat has stayed with me is one month. A roommate of mine in the past had a dog with aggression issues. If this is the case with your pet I would like to meet them before providing care and have a list of things that makes them uncomfortable.
About: I am 27 years old and a recent graduate at Johnson and Wales University. I have been taking care of my dog India for the past 6 years I even trained her on my own. I even took her to college with me for 4 years. I also took care of a Scottish terrier when we had her when I was in high school. I currently help take care of and train my grandparents schnauzers. I have taken my dog on many walks and bath her weekly. I have experience taking care of a cat as well as horses! I am adept at dealing with dogs with separation anxiety, PTSD, and big personalities. I currently work full time and my schedule varies based on the week and holidays. I typically have off Tuesday, Sundays so I will be available all day those days. I am also usually off by 3 at work. I have a fenced in backyard but due to my dog India being so small we typically keep her on a leash when taking her outside. For my 2 lab puppies they just wander the backyard. I do request a meet and greet for most bookings for safety reasons for new clients. At your home I will ensure all instructions are followed based on the needs of your pets!
About: I have always grown up taking care of animals. I have experience, dog and cat sitting. I now have a 2 month old puppy myself named Punkin. I go to school and work part time but I always make time for animals! I go to college and I work part time but I have plenty of time for animals! I have my own pup and I have plenty of love to give out!! I prioritize clear communication with the owner, understand the dog's needs and routine, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the dog. Meeting the dog beforehand, if possible, and create a bond through familiar activities and toys.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I've cared for both dogs and cats since I was a kid. Even though I'm new to professional pet sitting, I have plenty of experience caring for my own beloved pets and ensuring they are happy, healthy, and loved. I'm reliable, patient, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and am available throughout the day, seven days a week. This allows me to accommodate a variety of feeding schedules, drop-in visits, playtime, medication needs, and overnight care if needed. I provide care exclusively in my clients' homes so pets can remain in the environment where they feel most comfortable. I take the time to follow each pet's established routine, including feeding schedules, fresh water, litter box maintenance, playtime, exercise, medication (if needed), and plenty of affection based on their individual personality and comfort level.

“Eric and his family were great for our Evey girl. Even went as fall as meeting first in order to ensure we were a good fit/uncomfortable with leaving her. Eric was extremely responsive when I would check in. Flexible on pick up and drop off times. Evey is happy to be home for sure, but no doubt was well taken care of by the family. Thanks!”

“Lauren and her wonderful family are the very best sitters and genuinely love dogs. This is Ollie's second time visiting, and I know he's happy and loved; he always has a blast playing with Lauren's dog, Milo. Thank you!”

“Meagan was awesome! Especially with a last minute booking, she was available for meet and greet prior and asked and answered any questions with ease. Throughout the stay her communications were excellent and she sent great pictures. We didn’t worry on our trip because we knew Lyra was in great hands! We knew Lyra was treated as family while in her stay! Would 100 percent book her again!”

“We love Maria and Matt! Our dog, Max has stayed with them twice and it is always great! Max comes home very happy and there is always lots of communication.”

“Daisy had an amazing second visit. She was happy to return as she ran voluntarily back into the back yard when we arrived. It always feels good to leave a pet where you know they are happy and well taken care of. I was sent many pictures of daisy throughout the 5 day visit. Daisy will most certainly be visiting John and Zena during my next work trip.”

“Thank you, Dalton, for taking such good care of Coco every time we need you. Your patience, responsibility, and genuine care really show in how he always comes back calm and happy. I truly appreciate your dedication and the trust you give us.”

“Wendy was so great!!! I felt 100% comfy leaving my Ellie boo with her. She sent me sweet cuddling pictures while we were away and took the best care of our girl. She was loved on like family, no doubt about that. EXTRA thankful for her help getting in/out at pickup while I was SOLO in the weather🤣 the sweetest human. We will def be using Wendy in the future. 10/10 recommend!!”

“Stacy went above and beyond during Lamb Chops stay. I received updates and photos on a daily basis on how Lamb Chop was doing. Lamb Chop usually gets separation anxiety but seemed very happy during her stay receiving the best care and treatment.”

“Could not have been happier with Stephanie! She was fantastic from meet and greet to communication for the 20 days we were gone. We even had some headaches arise mid trip and Stephanie helped us to problem solve and pick up meds from the vet!”

“Sherry and Brad took great care of Roxy! The family atmosphere was so great for her. I received pictures during her time there which helped me feel secure that she was doing well while I was away. I would definitely book again in the future!”

“Michelle is absolutely amazing! She took such great care of our sweet girl Jewel ! We received lots of great pictures and communication! Jewel definitely was living her best life and had a great doggy vacay while we were also on vacation ! I would recommend her to everyone !”

“I had to book last minute, like an hour before we had to leave, and she was accommodating and friendly from the start! Her communication was great before and during my pet's stay, and I can tell she loves what she does! My pet isn't the perfect one to watch and she didn't complain once! This was my first time booking on rover, I'm usually the one doing the boarding on here, and she did everything right and then some. Very thankful and WILL book with Kathleen from now on ?”

“Crystal was awesome! She took great care of my Meatloaf. She sent lots of photos which showed me that Meatloaf had an amazing time. Very dog friendly home. I would highly recommend. I will be booking again when I'm in the area.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and now have two dogs of our own, an Australian Shepherd (almost 5) and a Pointer/ Lab mix (10). We have a huge fenced in back yard for pups to run around and potty. We treat dogs like family so they’re allowed on the furniture and we have plenty of dog beds around the house for them to get comfy!
“Nicolle is a life saver! Last minute my sitter cancelled on me and I only had 2 days to find a backup. I decided to check online and found Rover. Nicole put me at ease almost immediately. She allowed me to set up a last minute meet and greet. My dog can be extremely hyper at times and both her and her dog were accepting. Her back yard is great because of the size, sections, and high fences. The yard seemed to be my dog’s favorite from the pictures. She thankfully sent me pictures and updated daily which made me feel a lot better while on vacation. I feel that I left my dog with a loving sitter and will continue to highly recommend her. If ever I needed a sitter again she would be my first choice.”
