“Sally went for 2 1/2 days. She was happy when she got there. She was let outside in the fenced yard and immediately started to investigate the yard without looking back at me... That says a lot that Sally felt comfortable there. Thank you.”

“Leigh did a great job taking care of our miniature poodle for a long weekend. She took photos and gave updates on her progress. She responds very quickly and truly seems to love dogs.”

“We had a great experience! Communication was excellent throughout, with regular updates and photos that gave us peace of mind. We would definitely book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“My dogs were well taken care of. With short notice, Keith took the time to get to know my dogs and was transparent on the kind of care he provides, which is stellar.”

About: I bring calm, consistent and genuine attentiveness to every pet's routine. I don't just show up, I notice them and their habits and love them as if they were my own. I'm your trusted neighbor who will provide the best care for your pet! I'm currently available for any scheduling needs; morning, during the day, evenings. Whether you just need me to stop by to check on your pet, walk your dog, keep your pet overnight, I'm here for you! I have a fenced in backyard and plenty of open space inside of my home. I love to be active myself, so your pet will stay busy and happy!
About: I have more than 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and needs. I raised my two dogs, a Golden Retriever and a Cane Corso, from puppyhood through their senior years. They were part of my family for 14 and 11 years, so I have firsthand experience with every stage of a dog's life, from energetic puppies and adult dogs to seniors who need extra patience and attention. My experience with dogs actually began much earlier. Growing up, my family had a female French Poodle and a female Labrador, which also gave me experience caring for female dogs, including during their heat cycles. My Golden Retriever and Cane Corso were intact males, so I am comfortable with the additional care and management that intact dogs may require. I also have experience caring for other people's pets. While completing my master's and Ph.D. in Tallahassee, I pet sat for families with dogs of different sizes and breeds, sometimes caring for two dogs in the same household. I handled feeding, walks, playtime, routines, and companionship while their owners were away. I understand that every dog has a different personality and routine. Whether your dog is a puppy, an energetic adult, a large breed, or a senior, my priority is to provide patient, attentive care and make them feel safe and comfortable while they are with me. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible teaching schedule and am home for significant portions of the day, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and companionship. I am an experienced dog owner, and caring for dogs has been part of our daily lives for many years. I am happy to follow your dog's usual feeding, walking, exercise, and bedtime routine so they can feel as comfortable and at home as possible while you are away. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else's care. I provide a calm, attentive home environment and will follow your dog's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions you provide. I have experience with puppies, adult and senior dogs, large breeds, intact dogs, and multi-dog households. I pay close attention to each dog's behavior and individual needs and will keep you updated so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, comfortable, and receiving plenty of attention.
“I was really reluctant to go on this trip because my little man was not feeling well, Although I had taken him to the vet and he had been prescribed medication, I still didn’t want to leave him, but we had already spent so much money on this trip that was not refundable. There is NO ONE else that I would have trusted to care for my little man than Jen. Even though I had advised her of the situation, she was still willing and able to care for my baby. She kept me abreast every step of the way and my baby was feeling better in no time and I was able to enjoy my trip. Jen is the BEST!!! She will care for your pet as if he/she is her own. Thank you so much Jen!”

“My lovely little Eleanor enjoyed her stay . Luisa took such good care . She sent pictures through out the day and reassured me that she was okay and that she was using the cat litter like she should. She is responsible and on top of everything. We were blessed to have her .”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was a little nervous about it, but all my fears were gone once I met Whitney. She was very kind and send me multiple pictures of my baby Cooper. Her dogs were very cute and sweet too. I would reccomend her to anyone.”

“Shannon was great with our pet Zeke in booking a last minute reservation. She was great with communication and photos while we were away which helped with ease of mind. She seemed experienced in pet care and that was also a plus. We would definitely bring Zeke back for a future visit.”
“Ms. Janet was a wonderful host to Oliver! She took him as a last minute booking. This was our first time using Rover and she sent many pictures during his stay and her communication was wonderful. I knew he was in good hands! I will definitely rebook with her!”

“Kendra was amazing. I didn’t have to worry about my baby girl and was able to focus on my Army training. My pup came back better than she left after the grooming services Kendra provided. Trust me you will want to ask about those. Thank you, Mrs Kendra! Pepper will be happy to come back during my next field training.”

“My puppy absolutely enjoyed his 2 day stay, Kiresten is super sweet & responds to my messages very quickly. From now on Kiresten will be the only sitter I take my puppy to!🥹🫶🏾”

“Amanda was great, just like family. Her 3 little kids kept my old pup Sophie busy playing and getting smothered with attention. She has a big yard and a big house so Sophie could have her own space if she wanted. She was also available for a last minute booking which was really good for us.”

“Andrea was willing to take my dog, Laila, on a really short notice after another sitter canceled on me last minute. She provided great communication and stay for my dog. Will definitely return!”

“Eileen is the greatest. Of course I mean all the usual stuff like great communication and great space/yard for my dog. But when I say she is the greatest, I am referring to her absolute love of dogs….. and that includes my dog. She sent me pictures and videos that warmed my heart each day I was away from him. He was so content, playful, and happy that I was almost jealous. It’s not just dogs she lives…..she loved my dog and it showed. I highly recommend Eilleen because you will be grateful and happy. Fergus and I are going back.”
“Maria was so kind and patient with my spoiled rotten doodle! I know my pup can be a handful, and I know she had a hard time being away from me for the first time overnight, but Maria did everything possible to keep her happy. She also was wonderful about working with me on pickup and drop off! Traffic was terrible, and she was very accommodating. Thank you, Maria!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Knights Hill home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Knights Hill.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Knights Hill sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
