“Tayauna provided extraordinary services when caring for my cat, Lily Rose, while I was away on a trip. As many of us understand, it is not easy to be away from our beloved pets. Taya helped give me peace of mind through the daily updates and photos. She went above and beyond to provide the best care for Lily, and she blessed my heart as well. When returning, Lily was so happy and I believe the quality of attention and care that was given to her made all the difference. Thank you so much Taya! Lily is looking forward to spending time with again in the future, and I am beyond grateful to have a cat sitter who I can trust to do an excellent job. God bless you!”

“Christine has been a great and attentive sitter - very communicative, her rover cards are fantastic! My boys were happy and well-looked after. Will definitely recommend her and ask for her assistance in the future!”

“Alyssa went above and beyond for my fur babies! She was very attentive with them and provided great care while I was away. I will absolutely be using her again.”

“Ezgi is kind, responsible, and took great care of my cat, Fable, while we were out of town on short notice! She left my home clean, Fable happy and well-cared for, and Ezgi was responsive and easy to communicate with. I’d recommend her :)”

“Morgan was great! She helped us out really last minute and over a Holiday weekend. Could not have been more thankful for that. Our cat Bug definitely enjoyed her company! We loved the regular check ins and photos. Would absolutely recommend!”

About: I have a AAS in veterinary technology with kennel and boarding experience prior to school as well. I've grown up with pets of all kinds and continue to have animals as a staple of life. I'm currently not working anywhere outside of the home and am dedicated to pet care only at this time. This leaves plenty of space to add any grooming, walking, or transport needs you might have. I have a ton of yard space and a long chain for extended outside time. I also have one older dog and a 14 year old boy to help socialize and exercise your pet with a small dog park on property as well! I can use crates if need be, but pets are welcome on the furniture and always given blankets and snuggles here.
About: I've worked in animal welfare & shelters since 2015. I have lots of experience working with dogs and cats with various personalities and needs. I personally own 3 dogs and several cats all at various ages. One of my cats is disabled- and I've owned and worked with dogs and cats that have special needs (seziures, CH, deaf, blind), take daily medications, and possess specific breed traits/personalities that can't make them difficult to manage. Currently work remote and have a large amount of flexibility in between travel for work. I can prov8de limited boarding in home- dogs must be able to coexhist with cats, be able to be crated and/or left in a single room unattended, and be respectful of baby gates. I do have a separate space for cats that is easier to manage. Current cats in the home do free roams but there is an entire space devoted to the dogs in the home. Can crate and rotate as needed and care for up to 2 dogs if everyone can get along. In your home I prefer to stick to as close of a routine that you provide them with- from their potty breaks to morning and evening walks. Staying as consistent as possible can help provide a relaxing trip for you and your pet.
“Raz did a great job with my elderly dog. She spent time with my fur baby and even sent pictures and updates. She was patient and accommodating, especially with my elderly dog. I came home from my trip to a happy dog. I could enjoy my trip because I knew my dog was in good hands.”

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors, friends and families dogs since I can remember. From single old pups to a house of 10 dogs and cats I’m currently off and free every Monday-Thursday after 2-3pm. Sometimes even as early as 10am. I’m open all afternoon and well into the next morning till 6am. I can only offer to take care of pets at your property, they’d rather be home anyways right? I find that animals prefer a new person in their own nest rather than in a strange new environment.
About: I have taken care of both dogs and cats of all ages since the age of nine. My son is 13 and a very big cat lover! He will not be assisting with pet care, but does reside in the home. We have two cats Everest(8) and Harley(5), and one dog Layla(1). Our home features two large automatic litter boxes, one 5ft scratching post with other small ones throughout the home, enrichment toys, beds, pet blankets, and two filtered water fountains available 24 hours a day. Both cats are on feeding schedules, so your baby will also need to be on a schedule- we can discuss what times work best for your pet! Layla is crate trained and does not free roam without supervision. We also have a spare bedroom for pets that need some time to adjust or need more space away from all the uncertainties of a new home. We will treat your baby like our own and accommodate, so they can feel at ease! *Currently taking the month of September off from my primary job, so will be entirely available for bookings through Rover. I work 4-5 days a week, 5-6 hour days. My schedule can be altered as needed because my pets are just as important as any other family member. My pets are very well cared for and prioritized just as any living being should be. They are treated with kindness and care with regular checkups and special care catered to their individual personalities.

I have an extra large fenced in yard, live alone and have an amazing dachshund named, "Koko." He is an old boy and doesn't mind the company. I am a big advocate of cuddles, praise and sticking to training measures in place by an owner. I respect these animals and it really rewards me to see them happy, safe and healthy!

About: Hi, I’m Alexandria (Alley), and I’ve been passionate about dogs since I got my first one at the age of 5! Growing up with pets taught me how to care for dogs with love, attention, and patience. I understand the importance of keeping dogs happy and safe, and I’m excited to help care for your furry friends while you're away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll make sure your dog feels right at home. I am currently working as a part-time nanny, so I am available for drop-in visits or walks during the day. My work day ends around 4pm. I have a fenced backyard for my dog to run around in and he is crate trained. I take him for walks depending on the weather and if I’m home he is out with me. We are a nonsmoking household also.
About: Most of my experience was mostly personal with the numerous animals I had when I was growing up. But I also have experience with other friends or families' animals. During that, I have taken care of the dietary needs of pit bulls to Dachsund. I am currently a student meaning I can have more time taking care of your animals as I only will have homework and no job I have gates all around my house to avoid certain rooms to ensure no animals gets in anything. I will also ensure safety on walks

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I've cared for both dogs and cats since I was a kid. Even though I'm new to professional pet sitting, I have plenty of experience caring for my own beloved pets and ensuring they are happy, healthy, and loved. I'm reliable, patient, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and am available throughout the day, seven days a week. This allows me to accommodate a variety of feeding schedules, drop-in visits, playtime, medication needs, and overnight care if needed. I provide care exclusively in my clients' homes so pets can remain in the environment where they feel most comfortable. I take the time to follow each pet's established routine, including feeding schedules, fresh water, litter box maintenance, playtime, exercise, medication (if needed), and plenty of affection based on their individual personality and comfort level.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 952 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Kiptopeke. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kiptopeke. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
