“I was scrambling to find dog boarding when my friend canceled on me at the last minute. I had no backup plan and actually thought I’d have to send my dog to a kennel for the week. Luckily, as I was looking up kennels, I found information on Rover. So this was my very first time using Rover and I was extremely nervous. Turns out, there was absolutely no reason for me to be. Rover is very easy to use and I was able to find Julie & Kenneth N’s information. After seeing/reading the positive reviews I made immediate plans to meet them and have them meet my Husky, Max. When Julie & Ken arrived, they were very friendly, easy to talk to and most importantly, they love dogs. I was able to book Max to stay with Julie & Ken for the entire week that we were on a family vacation. As promised, I got daily emails (with pictures) of how Max was doing and Julie even let me know how helpful Max was in the kitchen — by being watchful to ensure Julie didn’t drop anything while preparing lunch. I loved all of the text communications I received — Max was smiling in some of the pics. That put me at ease too. If you want top notch boarding for your dog, then I highly recommend this dog-loving duo. Your dog will be well taken care of and will be happy with Julie & Ken. “Cynthia and her family are THE BEST!!! We are from out of town and had a hiccup just days before the start of our Virginia Beach vacation when our local sitter became unavailable to watch our two pups. I was in a bit of a panic, with only a few days left to secure arrangements. I was so fortunate to find and connect with Cynthia! Because we live several hours away, we could not do a prior meet-and-greet, which initially made me a bit nervous. However, we were able to chat on the phone before confirming the reservation, and any worries I had quickly disappeared as Cynthia had a lot of knowledge and experience with dog care, routines, and special quirks. At drop-off, we met Cynthia's husband, who was also very welcoming. He reassured us that our pups would be in good hands. As I write this review, I can confidently say that they absolutely were in the best of hands! From the photos and updates we received, we could see our pups were happy, relaxed, and quickly bonding with the family. About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs since the age of nine. My son is 13 and a very big care lover. We have two cats, 8 & 5, and a medium sized dog. We also have a spare bedroom for animals that need time alone away from all the unfamiliarity. Your pet will have free range of the house (if comfortable) which features two large automatic litter boxes, 6ft scratching post with smaller scratching posts throughout the home, enrichment toys, beds, backyard views with plenty of wildlife to watch and two filtered water fountains available throughout the day. Both cats are on a feeding schedule, so your baby will also have to be on a schedule as well, I will work with you to figure out what times work best! All pets are vaccinated and spayed with regular checkups ups. Our dog is crate trained and does not wander the home without supervision. We will treat your baby like family and make any accommodations they will need to feel comfortable.

I have bulldogs of my own so I have a lot of experience with eye and oral medication administration for dogs, and cleaning regimens. We believe in our house that it’s the utmost priority that dogs are loved and advocated for. A big concern when you utilize a Dog sitter is the safety of your pet and so at our house, we do have rules that we follow routines that we make with each individual Dog and we focus on trying to keep those routines to make sure that every dog is safe and taken care of. For senior dogs we can also offer accommodations for their physical disabilities as well as offering separate spaces where they can rest on their own without interacting with other dogs. If you have a puppy or a dog that has been difficult to train, I can also offer some basic training skills that I’ll use with my dogs to make sure that everybody stays safe and is comfortable during their visit whether I’m visiting your home or you’re having your dog visit my home.

About: I LOVE dogs. I am the go-to for my granddogs- yes, I have granddogs. My granddog, Nina, has emotional issues and can be aggressive, and I am the only one who can stay with her when my son and his family go on vacation. I have always been a dog person, nothing against cats, just that I'm allergic to cat dander. I cannot stand to see animals suffering and as a child my parents had to discourage me from trying to save every creature I saw. My baby Finn is the king of the castle but he's the sweetest most docile love bug in the universe and he loves to share his space and welcome all. You can literally feel the good energy when you walk in the door and Finny is the nucleus of that good energy. I'm retired and home all day. I am in an apartment complex but there is a huge yard right behind my apartment and plenty of space to walk and explore. I am able to do drop in visits, walks, doggy day care, provide love and cuddles per your specific instructions. Fur babies are our kids, at least I feel that way. My baby is my heart and so are my granddogs. The same way I wouldn't want just anyone watching my grandkids and I will make a trip to Pennsylvania JUST to babysit, I also know and understand you don't want just anyone watching your babies.

About: I've worked in animal welfare & shelters since 2015. I have lots of experience working with dogs and cats with various personalities and needs. I personally own 3 dogs and several cats all at various ages. One of my cats is disabled- and I've owned and worked with dogs and cats that have special needs (seziures, CH, deaf, blind), take daily medications, and possess specific breed traits/personalities that can't make them difficult to manage. Currently work remote and have a large amount of flexibility in between travel for work. I can prov8de limited boarding in home- dogs must be able to coexhist with cats, be able to be crated and/or left in a single room unattended, and be respectful of baby gates. I do have a separate space for cats that is easier to manage. Current cats in the home do free roams but there is an entire space devoted to the dogs in the home. Can crate and rotate as needed and care for up to 2 dogs if everyone can get along. In your home I prefer to stick to as close of a routine that you provide them with- from their potty breaks to morning and evening walks. Staying as consistent as possible can help provide a relaxing trip for you and your pet.

I currently do not have fur babies of my own at this time because I do travel for my job. I am willing to walk animals on a daily basis. I am also willing to board pets in my home. I also do not mind traveling to your home to watch your pets. I have several years of pet care/ house-sitting experience but do not have much experience with grooming animals. I love going for long walks and taking pups to the beach. Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions! I work hybrid - 2 days in the office (Williamsburg) and 3 days remotely, and travel often for a work. I keep my calendar up to date. I’m happy to board your pet in my home. I live right next to the beach. I am also happy to travel to your home. I prefer to always have a meet and greet if possible so the pup is comfortable with me.

About: I’ve got years of experience caring for dogs and cats. My favorite thing to do is take dogs (especially my own) out for adventures by taking advantage of this beautiful state we get to call home. I love to give dogs the best time when they’re with me whether that’s going out or staying in and their safety and comfortability is my top priority. I work part time on Thursday and Friday nights until the end of December. I have a very open schedule until the end of April. I do have a dog and two cats, so it would be best to board at the owners home vs my own, but I am ok with either. I am avid about getting quality outdoor time that goes beyond potty breaks. Clear instructions of your pets exact care requirements/expectations are important to me so that I can make sure your pet is getting their needs met.

Micheal playing out in the yard with him throwing the ball. The whole family gave Neeko lots of love as if he were their own. Once I picked Neeko up and got him home, he slept the rest of the day.
