“Tayauna provided extraordinary services when caring for my cat, Lily Rose, while I was away on a trip. As many of us understand, it is not easy to be away from our beloved pets. Taya helped give me peace of mind through the daily updates and photos. She went above and beyond to provide the best care for Lily, and she blessed my heart as well. When returning, Lily was so happy and I believe the quality of attention and care that was given to her made all the difference. Thank you so much Taya! Lily is looking forward to spending time with again in the future, and I am beyond grateful to have a cat sitter who I can trust to do an excellent job. God bless you!”

About: Hi, I’m Alexandria (Alley), and I’ve been passionate about dogs since I got my first one at the age of 5! Growing up with pets taught me how to care for dogs with love, attention, and patience. I understand the importance of keeping dogs happy and safe, and I’m excited to help care for your furry friends while you're away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll make sure your dog feels right at home. I am currently working as a part-time nanny, so I am available for drop-in visits or walks during the day. My work day ends around 4pm. I have a fenced backyard for my dog to run around in and he is crate trained. I take him for walks depending on the weather and if I’m home he is out with me. We are a nonsmoking household also.
About: Most of my experience was mostly personal with the numerous animals I had when I was growing up. But I also have experience with other friends or families' animals. During that, I have taken care of the dietary needs of pit bulls to Dachsund. I am currently a student meaning I can have more time taking care of your animals as I only will have homework and no job I have gates all around my house to avoid certain rooms to ensure no animals gets in anything. I will also ensure safety on walks

I have an extra large fenced in yard, live alone and have an amazing dachshund named, "Koko." He is an old boy and doesn't mind the company. I am a big advocate of cuddles, praise and sticking to training measures in place by an owner. I respect these animals and it really rewards me to see them happy, safe and healthy!

About: As a cat owner myself, I understand how important it is to know your pet is in caring, trustworthy hands while you're away. I have firsthand experience caring for my own cat and know that every cat has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level. Whether your cat loves attention or prefers their own space, I'll respect their needs and make sure they feel safe and comfortable.

About: While I’m new to providing pet care professionally, I’ve been a pet owner for years and understand the love, patience, and responsibility that comes with caring for animals. I currently have two cats and a puppy, so I’m experienced with daily feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and keeping pets on their routines. Over the past month, I’ve also been caring for pets for others, and I’ve loved building trust with both pets and their owners. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while giving owners peace of mind that their furry family member is in caring hands. Pet care is already a part of my daily routine. I care for my own two cats and puppy every day, making sure they get fed, exercised, played with, and plenty of love and attention. Since I have a flexible schedule, I can easily accommodate walks, drop-in visits, feedings, potty breaks, and quality time with your pets. I enjoy spending time with animals and make it a priority to keep them happy, comfortable, and on their normal routine while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any special care. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, affection, and exercise while respecting their individual personalities and boundaries. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident that their pet is happy and well cared for while they’re away. My goal is to make every pet feel loved and secure, just as if they were my own.
About: I’ve always believed that every single pet deserves to be cared for and should receive the attention they need. I will be sure to meet those needs and more! I’d love the opportunity to care for your pet as if they were my own. I will be sure to be attentive to every pets needs and ensure they receive the care and love they need and deserve!

“Shyanna did a wonderful job housesitting and taking care of our two cats. This was my first experience using River, and hiring someone to sit that I had not met in person first. It could not have gone better. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who asked. She provided plenty of photos and updates on our little ones throughout the week. My cats warmed up to her so quickly! She clearly cares about animals.”

“Wendy was very communicative and flexible when I needed to adjust drop off time to ~15 min earlier. She took Risotto on 3 walks so he was nice and tired when we picked him up. About: My name is Justin, and my life has always been enriched by the love and joy that animals bring, especially dogs. Their simplicity is inspiring – all they require is food, a safe haven, regular exercise, and a generous dose of love and affection. Throughout my life, I've discovered that I have a unique knack for forming deep, empathetic connections with dogs. I understand that entering a new environment can be a daunting experience, for humans and dogs alike. I'm here to make this transition as smooth and stress-free as possible for your beloved pet. My own golden retriever, Phoebe, is just over a year old, and she has further deepened my appreciation for the unique bond we share with our pets. Phoebe has taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and companionship in pet care, and I strive to extend the same love and affection to every dog I care for. When your dog comes to stay with me, they become a part of my family. I treat them exactly how I would want Phoebe to be treated - with respect, kindness, and lots of belly rubs! I'm not in this business for the money. My primary goal is to provide a safe, warm, and loving environment for your pet. To ensure that I can give each dog the attention and care they deserve, I limit the number of dogs I board to just one at a time. This approach also allows me to seamlessly incorporate them into my daily routine with Phoebe. I'm excited to meet your furry friend and provide them with a home away from home! My Pet Care Routine As a work-from-home professional, I have the privilege of spending a lot of quality time with my pets. My active lifestyle and daily routine are designed around my vibrant golden retriever, Phoebe, who thrives on exercise and loves exploring our neighborhood. Should your dog stay with us, they will seamlessly be incorporated into our dynamic daily routine. A Typical Day Our day starts bright and early around 7 am with a restroom break, followed by breakfast. We then set out for a 30-minute morning stroll to Washington Square Park. This walk is a fantastic opportunity for your pet to expend some of their morning energy (and it's usually a good time for a second potty break, too). Once we return home, there's a relaxation period where I work and the dogs can rest, play or keep me company. I intentionally block out my calendar from 11 am to 1 pm on weekdays for a lunch break and a longer walk. Depending on the day, we might visit Francisco Park, Aquatic Cove, or trek up to Coit Tower – all within walking distance from our home. After our midday adventure, we return home for some more work and relaxation, followed by another walk around Washington Square Park at around 5 pm. This is a great opportunity for your dog to socialize with some of our local canine friends. Following our evening walk, we head home for dinner and a quick 15-minute potty walk. For those dogs with a bit more energy to burn, we also offer a late-night stroll around 9:30/10 pm. Weekends and Adventures Phoebe is a high-energy dog, so incorporating your pup into this exercise-intensive routine is no burden at all. In fact, it's our pleasure. On weekends (and sometimes weekdays), we like to add 1-2 hiking adventures to our schedule. I firmly believe that a consistent routine provides comfort and security for dogs. I also subscribe to the mantra that a well-behaved dog is a tired dog. Therefore, keeping them active plays a significant role in my strategy to avoid problematic behavior and ensure a happy, well-adjusted pup. Safety, Trust, and Environment Ensuring the safety, comfort, and happiness of your dog is my top priority. I've designed my living space with that in mind, taking every precaution to create a safe and welcoming environment that your pet will love to call their temporary home. Space and Location I live in a spacious 1000 sq ft apartment with a fenced backyard, perfect for playtime and fresh air. We are conveniently located just two blocks away from Washington Square Park, a fantastic spot for daily walks and socializing with other dogs. Additionally, we regularly visit fenced dog parks to provide a fun and safe environment for your dog to run and play. Active Lifestyle As an active individual, I love incorporating dogs into my lifestyle. Whether it's a simple walk in the park or a hiking adventure, your dog will have plenty of opportunities for exercise and exploration. My golden retriever, Phoebe, and 1-2 other pups often accompany me on these outings, making for a fun, social experience for your pet. Doggy Areas Inside my home, I have two enclosed "doggy areas", each equipped with a comfortable dog bed, food, and water bowl. These areas are separated by baby gates to ensure each dog has their own space and can feel safe and secure. Feeding Time I'm well aware that dogs can sometimes become protective over their food. To prevent any potential conflict, I always feed dogs separately in their designated areas. This method not only helps maintain harmony among our furry guests but also allows me to monitor your dog's eating habits closely, ensuring they are eating normally and maintaining a healthy diet. Pet-Friendly Home My home is a paradise for dogs! I believe in creating a comfortable and relaxed environment for all my furry guests. Dogs are welcome on the furniture here, so whether your pet loves curling up on the couch or sprawling out on a comfy chair, they will feel right at home. Of course, accidents can happen - especially when pets are in a new environment. But don't worry, I am fully equipped to handle such situations. I have all the necessary cleaning supplies on hand to promptly and efficiently deal with any messes, ensuring that the living space remains clean and comfortable for your pet. Transportation and Adventures For those dogs that love a change of scenery, I have a pet-friendly 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan parked in my building, complete with doggy seatbelts for safe and secure travel. If you're comfortable with it, I love taking the pups on hiking adventures in the surrounding area. I ensure that these trips are never more than an hour away, and they provide a fantastic opportunity for your dog to explore new environments and expend some energy! Rest assured, your pet's safety is always my number one concern during these fun outings. Philosophy on Training / Handling Problem Behavior While I take a lot of effort to avoid and problems - we all know that sometimes, shit happens. I don’t believe in any punitive or negative reactions to such behavior - it either exacerbates the anxiety/trigger that caused it, and doesn’t do much to teach them anything. I have separate spaces in my home for a reason to account for this, and will give your doggo plenty of love to put them at ease. I will promptly let any owner about problem behavior - what happened, what I believe caused it, and how I am currently remedying it. I’m very patient with dogs, and haven’t run into a situation I haven’t been able to remedy. If your dog is a rescue with social anxiety, I tend to form a lot of trust with these pups with this approach. With rescue dogs, I view things from the dog’s perspective - any view a lot of their trepidation / behavior as a direct result of what humans did (or didn’t) do for them. I approach these dogs with the utmost care and patience when forming a bond to let them know I’m someone I can trust, and that it’s on their terms. I have a special place in my heart for these pups, so if you have a rescue that’s shy, please don’t be shy in booking!
“Knowledgeable and willing to reinforce training that I’ve established. Ensured that my pup had positive experiences with other older dogs. Feel lucky to have found her after a previous bad experience”

“Words can't describe how awesome my experience was putting the care of my puppy in Zack's hands. As soon as I drop them off, he felt so at home, and it was clear to see that my puppy will be in good hands!! When picking him up, he was in a great mood! I brought him home, and he fell as straight to sleep. Zach's dogs played so well with Carmelo, and I look forward to setting up another time for him to spend the day with them! I look forward to the next play date Zach's house with his dogs, and I recommend anyone ,who wants their dog to be in great hands to choose him as a handler.”

“What an outstanding experience. Elisabeth is so knowledgeable, gracious, thoughtful, dedicated, detail oriented, professional and communicative. I could go on and on. Those who are lucky enough to be able to have her for their pet caregiver are among the luckiest people in the world.”

“We felt very lucky to have connected with Janelle! We were able to leave Benny with her for day care so we could enjoy the beach and dinner out, knowing he was in good hands. Janelle was very responsive to communications and patiently answered all our questions. We were able to have a meet and greet to confirm that Benny would be comfortable with Janelle - and vice versa - before he stayed for day care. Would definitely do this again. Thanks, Janelle!”

“Rebecca was great with Ellie! Her dogs are very well behaved too and you can tell she’s a dog expert. Professional and timely communication through and through. Will be booking again for doggy daycare!”

About: I LOVE dogs. I am the go-to for my granddogs- yes, I have granddogs. My granddog, Nina, has emotional issues and can be aggressive, and I am the only one who can stay with her when my son and his family go on vacation. I have always been a dog person, nothing against cats, just that I'm allergic to cat dander. I cannot stand to see animals suffering and as a child my parents had to discourage me from trying to save every creature I saw. My baby Finn is the king of the castle but he's the sweetest most docile love bug in the universe and he loves to share his space and welcome all. You can literally feel the good energy when you walk in the door and Finny is the nucleus of that good energy. I'm retired and home all day. I am in an apartment complex but there is a huge yard right behind my apartment and plenty of space to walk and explore. I am able to do drop in visits, walks, doggy day care, provide love and cuddles per your specific instructions. Fur babies are our kids, at least I feel that way. My baby is my heart and so are my granddogs. The same way I wouldn't want just anyone watching my grandkids and I will make a trip to Pennsylvania JUST to babysit, I also know and understand you don't want just anyone watching your babies.

I can take them on walks and live in walking distance to a dog park and the beach.
“Rebecka & John were great with our girl Zoe. She was in their care for the first time for doggy daycare. They replied promptly with pics when we would ask and helped us feel better that she was having a good time. She came home happy and tired. Thanks for taking care of our girl!”

In regards to a clients home I would of course check what the client has in place but as a pet owner I am also aware pets can be sneaky and love to get into mischief. I am always checking on clients pets making sure they are safe and not getting into things they shouldn't. I am also certified in pet cpr and massage therapy incase a pet does get into distress or if they need some other help with pain. Over all my priority is always the health and safety of my client beloved pets.

About: I’m patient, reliable, and great with all pets! I have experience with basic puppy training and making sure pets stay active and happy. Your pet will get lots of love and attention while you're away! Pet care fits really naturally into my daily routine. As a nursing student, I spend a lot of time studying, so having a pet actually helps me stay balanced. I like to use walks as study breaks because they give me a chance to clear my head and reset, especially when coursework gets intense. Morning walks are my favorite—they help me start the day feeling calm, focused, and energized. Caring for a pet fits well with my schedule because I’m already used to planning my time carefully, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy rather than see as a chore. I provide a safe, comfortable space and follow your pet’s routine. Whether in my home or yours, I make sure they get food, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention!
About: Hi there! I provide excellent pet care service in VA Beach area. I am also willing to travel to cities within a 30 mile radius. A little about myself: I am a 2x alumni from East Carolina University. I received my Masters in Communication in 2017 and am currently working as a Producer. I absolutely love animals. I currently do not have fur babies of my own at this time because I do travel for my job. I am willing to walk animals on a daily basis. I am also willing to board pets in my home. I also do not mind traveling to your home to watch your pets. I have several years of pet care/ house-sitting experience but do not have much experience with grooming animals. I love going for long walks and taking pups to the beach. Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions! I work hybrid - 2 days in the office (Williamsburg) and 3 days remotely, and travel often for a work. I keep my calendar up to date. I’m happy to board your pet in my home. I live right next to the beach. I am also happy to travel to your home. I prefer to always have a meet and greet if possible so the pup is comfortable with me.
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 5 years old. I would go walk dogs with my grandpa and he would let me walk them. I am currently not working. I have plenty of time to spend with your cute pets. Those little fur babies will fit right on in with my day. If you need your little fur baby to be in a crate before I leave I am able to get them in nice and calm.
About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of this year :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours WEDNESDAY thru SATURDAY. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Sunday thru Tuesday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. Quality. Compassionate. Care. is what I provide pets. I want them to have the creature comforts that make them feel all warm and comfy and content.
About: Hey! I am currently in school to be a vet! I can walk dogs 24/7 and give them all the loving! This would be a great way for me to expand my jobs with watching your dogs! I usually am up by 8am and spend most of the day with my dog while I do schooling at home. I’m mostly free of the day besides for leaving for work or getting my brother! I have a small dog who I feed, walk & play with. We do have a dog run in my apartments and I always take my dog out to play with his toys. I also love taking him for runs.
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs my whole life. From my own dogs to now adding my wife’s dog. I will take care of your fur babies as if they were my own. I do work 8am-5pm so I can walk them early am before work or after work. I have two fur babies, Zoey and Bentley. I have had Bentley since he was 8 weeks and Zoey since she was 1. I'm truly a dog lover. They are family. We go on daily walks 2-3 times a day. We visit a dog park every weekend. I currently live in an apartment community so it is very important that I allow Bentley and Zoey to get as much exercise as possible.
About: I’ve got years of experience caring for dogs and cats. My favorite thing to do is take dogs (especially my own) out for adventures by taking advantage of this beautiful state we get to call home. I love to give dogs the best time when they’re with me whether that’s going out or staying in and their safety and comfortability is my top priority. I work part time on Thursday and Friday nights until the end of December. I have a very open schedule until the end of April. I do have a dog and two cats, so it would be best to board at the owners home vs my own, but I am ok with either. I am avid about getting quality outdoor time that goes beyond potty breaks. Clear instructions of your pets exact care requirements/expectations are important to me so that I can make sure your pet is getting their needs met.
