About: Hello, I have been taking care of a wide range of animals since I was 15. I’ve had 5 ferrets, guinea pigs, cats and dogs my whole life. I have a Staffordshire terrier, an American bully, and a black lab/ leopard catahoula mix. I am used to having a heavy dog on the opposite end of the leash and I am well experienced in animal body language to keep your baby and myself safe. I am an independent contractor who does Rover, Spark, DoorDash and a couple other side gigs. I have worked a 9-5 and it was incredibly difficult following a schedule someone else made for me while trying to manage my kids school and sports schedule's. Since becoming an independent contractor I have gained great relationships with residents of Culpeper and Rappahannock county and more time with my kids. These side gigs help provide me a way to bring in income, socalize, work easily with my kids school and sport schedules and give me the flexibility to rest when my autoimmune disease flares up. I will make sure any and all instructions are followed correctly to ensure adequate and safe service. Plus a few head rubs before I left.

About: Caring for animals has never been just a job for me, it's something I genuinely love. At this time, I have 18 recent sits under my belt. I am former membership director of a nonprofit for writers, and these days I’m traveling in my van, house/pet sitting, and working on my own writing. I love animals and grew up in the country with 14 outdoor cats and 3 different dogs. I sat for a lot of professors as a grad student and thought it would be fun to return to that as an experienced adult who has owned her own home and raised two children. As I am looking for home/pet sitting gigs, and I work from home, I have a lot of flexibility to spend time with and caring for your pets. 3-4 hours a day can be spent on pets, home, and indoor and outdoor plants, etc. I do whatever the pet owner does in their home, including cuddles, feeding, brushing, scooping, meds if needed, plus house care, and of course treats!

About: Hello! I am 23 years old and when I was 15-17 I helped train dogs including a service dog. I love all dogs and will always love your dog as well! I am looking for any opportunities that involve dog walking or dog sitting! I do not have my own dog but would love to have a golden retriever later in life! I am currently available all throughout June and July. August 3rd I will be unavailable because I start a nanny job that will be full time. “Amazing! Jamie is one of the best sitters we’ve ever used. Before she even got to the house, she was very patient with our changing travel plans, which had honestly become a bit of a nightmare as work constraints evolved and our dates kept shifting. We had her stay with our two dogs and small flock of chickens - a bit on the unusual side of Rover bookings. One of our dogs is a very timid rescue and the other is a slightly crazy young blue heeler mix, so they have very different personalities and needs. Jamie was wonderful with both - she had the timid one eating and letting her get near within the first few hours; normally this is a 2-3 day process! She seemed to have great intuition about dog behavior and knew exactly what to do to gain his trust. The active heeler didn’t seem to throw her at all either, and both pups were quite happy and healthy when we got back. In addition to being a superb canine communicator, Jamie was also a great human communicator and was proactive with reaching out to our additional contact when a question came up and it was the middle of the night where we were. I felt like she was on top of absolutely everything and had no anxiety about her ability to handle any dog/house/chicken things that might occur while we were away. To top it off, we came back to a clean house that was exactly as we left it - she even washed the sheets and remade the bed, which was extremely appreciated after getting back from overseas and quickly turning to back-to-school mode. We will definitely call Jamie the next time we need a sitter!”
