For three years, I walked and sat for a dog every other day for elderly owners, which taught me how to connect with dogs of all temperaments and needs. In addition, I’ve raised my own Golden Doodle from 8 weeks old to 1.5 years. It wasn’t always easy, but through calmness, steady emotions, and consistent training, I’ve shaped her into the most loving, gentle, and sweet dog I know. About: As far as experience goes there isn’t a time in my life I remember that I wasn’t caring for an animal. From reptiles, to rodents, to cats and dogs, I’ve had them all. From a young age I was taught responsibility and discipline when it came to caring for tiny creatures. Additionally for over two years I volunteered weekly at a local animal shelter. During this time I gained knowledge as to how animals interacted with one another, how to properly administer medication, warning signs to look out for, what to do in emergencies, and deeply studied animal behavior. To add on to that I am currently employed at a doggie daycare. During my time here not only have I gotten to widen my horizons when it came to taking care of animals but I have learned hands on how to bandage a wound, what to do in animal confrontations as well as how to handle the unexpected such as sickness or seizures. Additionally over the last 3 years I have volunteered at different animal welfare programs across the globe. These include Portugal, Puerto Rico, Tanzania and soon Hawaii. During this time I have not only seen hands on other cultures way of taking care of animals but also gained knowledge as to how to better the animal care I provide to clients. As I previously stated I currently am employed at a doggie daycare. Additionally I work at a bakery as well. My schedule changes weekly so it can be hard to give an exact time frame when booking. Typically I work up to 8 hour shifts. I typically prefer to stay in clients homes to keep their pets safe and happy in their own environment. I will be there in the morning before work, and will immediately come back when I get off as well as being there at night. I try to spend as much time as possible with the pets while you are away I typically only offer staying in the clients home and I am comfortable crating animals while gone. I always keep things like medications safely out of reach and secured. Additionally upon booking I typically ask about any health notes, allergies, or special needs as well as a good contact number for your vet in case of emergency.

“Kayla was phenomenal!! I really can't recommend her enough. One of our dogs takes medicine 4 times a day, so we were very nervous because our dogs have never not been with family. She spent time allowing them to get comfortable with her and they took to her much quicker than we thought they would, which was great. She sent detailed messages about the vists, along with plenty of pictures. We will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, and I’ll be honest… I usually prefer hanging out with dogs over most people. 🐾 They’re loyal, goofy, and always bring good energy. I love giving dogs the attention, exercise, and care they deserve I work full-time but I’m done by 3 p.m. every day, leaving plenty of time for walks, playtime, and giving your pup the attention they deserve. I’m flexible and open to a variety of schedules. I’m unable to host pets or provide care in my own home. However, I’m fully available for in-home pet sitting at your residence, including walks, feeding, and drop-in care as needed

About: I have been around animals, my whole life it doesn’t matter if it’s my pets, my friends, pets or even my families pets. I have had rabbits, fish, cats, and dogs. When I was first born and at a very young age, my parents had a cat named Misty. Misty was a farm cat, and I learned at the young age of how to take care of a pet and a cat. It didn’t matter if it was giving the cat exercise, feeding the cat, giving it water or even cleaning out the litter pan. I also at a young age at around eight learned how to take care of a dog as my family got a golden retriever. We got this golden retriever named Sam from Humane Society, and Sam was an older dog about eight years old. I learned how to take care of an older dog, feeding it, giving exercise and water, and of course playing fetch, because what golden retriever doesn’t like fetch. After these animals, I got a Maine Coon cat named Cowboy. Again I learned how to take care of Cowboy by feeding Cowboy, giving Cowboy water and emptying the litter pan along with playing with Cowboy. Cowboy was a bit younger when I got him and was about eight months old. After cowboy, I was Lucky enough to get a black lab as a puppy, named Lucky. I named Lucky Lucky because what dog is not lucky to have me as their owner to take them on runs! Lucky was about four months old and again a potty trained Lucky, took Lucky to training classes and also trained Lucky on my own at home helping Lucky to learn to sit stay and play. After Lucky I got a rescue dog named Dyno, Dyno was a rescue dog from a high kill shelter in Alabama and when I did a DNA test on Dyno, Dyno came out to be a black lab pointer mix with a little bit of terrier and boxer in her as well. Dyno was approximately four months old as well when I got her. I helped Dyno learn to be potty trained took her to training classes and train her at my house as well. I helped Dyno to learn, sit and stay, and also place along with playing dead. I recently just moved out of my house, and unfortunately Dyno had to stay with my parents, because Dyno doesn’t get along with other dogs as well. I did have to be very cognizant, while I took care of Dyno, to make sure Dyno did not injure or hurt other dogs, and keep Dyno safe as well, so I’m very good at making sure and keeping track of dogs when they’re along with other dogs so that they don’t fight. I am smart and know the signs dogs have if they are nervous, worried, or scarred. I moved in with my fiancé, who has a seven year-old golden retriever named Molly, and I am currently taking care of Molly. Molly is an unbelievable golden retriever dog, loves to go for runs and play fetch. If you have a dog that loves to go for runs or walks I will gladly take them for runs and walks to get my exercise in with them. What dog does not like to go for a run? Hope I can help you walk/run and take care of your animals just like I love to take care of my own! I am a police officer and have many days off during the week. So if you need someone to let your furry friends out while at work I am perfect for that. One week I work Monday Tuesday Friday to Sunday. I’m off Wednesday and Thursday the following week off Monday Tuesday and the weekend. In my professional life, I am a police officer, so not only do I take care of animals in my personal life, but also in my professional life when they are lost, and I need to get them back to the owner, or even dropping them off at the Humane Society so they are safe. Recently on the Snowmobile Trail. I actually found a kitten and was able to get the kitten to come to me so that it did not freeze to death in the woods and get it to a business near the Snowmobile Trail so that it could be returned to the Humane Society to stay safe . Based off of my schedule in my professional life of being a police officer, I have many days off during the week. So if you’re at work and need your furry friends to be let outside, I am the perfect person. As I have many off days on Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday while others are working. I can explain my schedule better however here is a break down. Week one. I work Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday Sunday. I am off Wednesday and Thursday Week two. I only work Wednesday and Thursday off the rest of the week. Even if you are home and you’re an individual that doesn’t like to go for runs or walk or are older, I could take care of your animal and let them out take them for a walk or run while you were at home as well, just to get them exercise, I would be happy to do that because then I get my exercise as well. On the weekends, I would be available most all the time as well, unless I am busy, but I would do drop in short notice type calls as well! With me working in the school during the school year, I have off days during the school year that your kids are off as well. So spring break I am open all day, or just even random days during the week they are off as well. So please keep that in mind. In the summer I am free at 2pm to let your dog outside. My schedule just changed and I work night shift. So I am available anytime during the day as long as I’m not sleeping. The days I work stays the same regarding off days and not. Right now I am not planning on having dogs or cats stay at my house with my dog Molly, so this is not something you need to worry about however, if I’m walking or taking your dog for a run, I would make sure to bring my light up light collar for your dog so that your dog is safe whether it’s dark out. If you have one I would use yours. This will make sure your dog has your collar on with its leash and keep your dog or cat safe.
