“Nicholas has been watching Dexter for a few weeks now, and is wonderful at just letting Dexter lead the day. He's reliable, consistent, and very intuitive with the D man. So grateful to have found him!!”

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals, and honestly, my life just doesn’t feel complete without them. I’ve had 3 dogs, 3 cats and lots of different animal. Ever since I was little, I’ve always been gentle and caring with every animal. Animals aren’t just pets to me they’re family. I love spending time with them, whether it’s playing, cuddling, or just making sure they feel safe and happy. I’m studying psychology and hope to combine that with my love for animals in the future, maybe as a vet or through therapy work. For now, I bring experience, care, and a lot of love to every pet I get to look after. I’m currently working part-time until September 15. I usually work 12–7 PM, and my days off are Thursdays and Fridays, so I’m free all day then. On other days, I’m available for dog walks in the morning before work or in the evening after. I have a house back in my home country in Europe, and I currently have a dog and a cat. My dog lives inside but gets lots of outdoor time, and my cat goes in and out as she pleases. I walk my dog three times a day, and sometimes we go on long hikes. I really believe dogs should spend as much time outside as possible, get plenty of exercise, love, and a good diet. In my home, pets are safe, happy, and super well cared for. I’d give the same care, attention, and love to any pets I look after making sure they’re happy, safe, and well taken care of.

About: I have had my own dogs for as long as I can remember. When I moved out I started helping the strays in the neighborhood. I do work Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. However I can always stay with the animal and walk them in mornings or evenings. I am pretty flexible on weekends. I am able to keep the dogs well groomed, well fed, as well as walking them and playing with them too. I can stay at the hosts house.
About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I grew up with two labs and giving them several walks a day was always a high priority so they could burn up all that energy!I understand the importance of a good walk and how it can also be tough to squeeze in sometimes on a busy day. So don’t spend the day feeling guilty if your schedule won’t allow time to give your dog a walk. I can help. We usually let our dogs off the leash so they could run and fetch, but if you would rather me keep them on a leash that is what I will do. I have lived in the area for a while so I know plenty of spots to take them, or if you have preferred routes I will do that. On 3 occasions over the past couple years I have stayed with my sister and her husbands two dogs (lab mixed with Aussie Shepard) for a week at a time. They have as strict of a walking routine/diet as you can imagine and I had no problems satisfying their needs. I also understand that when traveling you cannot always bring your pet with you and putting them in a doggie hotel is both expensive and not a good time for them. If you’d like them to remain in the comfort of your home I’m happy to spend time with them and make sure they are comforted through that period. I work mornings from 5:30-noonish 5 days a week. I am available from 1 until 8 or 9 for walks or check-in’s, feeding, cleaning up. I’m a very active person so can take your dog on long walks, a hike or just play in the yard if preferred. My parents who are often not in town have a large very nice condo in elkhorn that is pet friendly that is available for use. There is an upstairs deck available off the living room for them to go between for them to get some fresh air The yard is not fenced so downstairs I could not leave them to roam. But neighborhood is quiet with a great path for walking them, also have trails out into the desert I could take them if alright.
“Kira is one of the Rovers you never have to worry about while you are away... you just know your fuzzball is in good hands. My cat was well taken care of and communication was great.”

About: With years of experience in pet sitting since my teenage years, I’ve provided reliable care for a variety of dogs, both young and old. I’m skilled in administering medications, managing special diets, and accommodating any extra needs such as extended walks or additional bathroom breaks. I’m committed to offering the attentive and personalized care your pet deserves. I am available for pet care throughout the weekends with full availability for walks, drop-ins,, and extended care. During the weekdays, I work from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, but I am still able to provide early morning care before work and evening walks after my shift. I am responsible and committed to ensuring that every pet receives adequate exercise, attention, and routine, even on the days that I work. Whether it’s a morning walk, an evening check-in, or weekend care, I am here to provide the best possible experience for your pet. When caring for pets in your home or mine, I prioritize a smooth and comfortable transition for your dog. I like to start with an introduction at your house, where I can meet both you and your dog in their familiar environment. This helps establish a sense of trust and comfort. During this visit, I also familiarize myself with the location of your dog’s items and routines, ensuring that I can provide the best and most attentive care. My goal is to make the experience as stress-free as possible for your pet.
About: I've taken care cats, dogs, and guinea pigs since I was a little kid. My family was super adventurous and we took our dogs everywhere with us. Growing up we fostered cats and dogs of all breeds and ages. I am a professional cross-country skier so I am very active during the day. I can go on many walks or runs with your dog if needed. I will be out for two hours in the morning and then free until the afternoon. Our cats are indoor cats because of our busy street. However, growing up we would let our cats out for however long they wanted and then let them in. We had a revolving door so when we were home they were allowed to go out. I will try to make you feel as comfortable and safe as possible when watching your pet.
“Natalia was awesome. She made us feel secure our kids were well taken care of and loved. We have two dogs and two cats and they are still waiting for Natalia to come back and love them. Highly recommended.”

“Christy takes good care of our boys and checked in on them while we were gone! It was great peace of mind for us. Our old guy lives her and the puppy loved the play and interaction.”

About: I love dogs! I live with my 17 year old miniature poodle, Milo, who I have had since we were both pups. We love house guests and walking mates. Milo and I walk around city park twice a day. In addition, I have a large fenced in yard with plenty of room to play. I work from a home office and am at home most of the time. Your dog will always be by my side. I am a professional videographer and would enjoy sending update videos letting you know what your loved one is getting up to while you are away. Milo and I hope we are a great match for your dog / dogs and would love your dog/dogs to be our temporary roommates. I work for Sun Valley but have plenty of time to take care of your pets. Walks, Sitting, check ins only as I currently can't have pets staying at my current dwelling. Unfortunately I can't house any pets at my current location but would love to watch your dog set up as a sitting at your house.
About: Hi! I’m an experienced pet lover with hands-on care for a 17-year-old senior cat, kittens, cats, and two large-breed dogs. I’m comfortable with different ages, sizes, and personalities, and I focus on calm, attentive, and loving care to keep pets happy and safe while you’re away! I am currently in my second year at Boise State University! I take care of my cat on the daily, scooping litter feeding and playing with him for as long as he needs! When i’m home from college I watch my dogs, take them on walks and give them all of the love I care for pets in their own homes so they can stay comfortable with their usual routine. I follow all instructions closely for feeding, walks, medications, and any special needs. I have experience with senior cats, kittens, cats, and large breed dogs, and I adjust my care based on each pet’s personality and energy level. I’m mindful about home safety, keep doors and gates secure, and make sure pets are happy, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Ketchum
It was our first time leaving our two senior cats since their diagnosis with CKD. We were anxious and so very worried, but that quickly faded with the excellent care our kitties received daily from Nikki and Britney. They were incredibly caregivers to our beloved pets, giving not only food and meds but lots of love and attention too. They sent daily pictures and updates which really helped put our minds at ease and we knew our fur babies were in good hands! Highly recommend Nikki and Britney. They are top notch!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
