“Megan did an excellent job looking after our three fur babies! We felt very confidant knowing they were being visited by someone who loves and understands cats. We had some special instructions for one of the cats which Megan was more than happy to accommodate. Even our shy baby made it into the daily photos!”

“Gail was amazing!!! She took great care of all our critters. We had an incident while I was gone and our dog got out. No fault of Gail’s but she quickly got over to our house and was able to put our dog away. I very thankful! I highly recommend.”

“Jack helped me with pet care during a family medical emergency. I live out of state and he was willing to help care for my brother’s dogs on short notice and little information about the dogs. I would highly recommend his services.”

About: Hi my name is Nat, I've dog sat for the last 18 years of my life, love dogs so much, as well as my dog Aizen. I play with them all day, since I'm always home. Walk them, take them out to the park, feed them well. Give them treats when they are doing something good! I love snuggling with them, specially the little ones :). I would love to sit and get to know every single dog in the workd. Because it's so nurturing to them when they miss their parents, to have that motherly love. :) I know it can be difficult to leave your puppy with someone else or to separate from them but your babies are in really good hands! They will love being active and playing! I’m currently working in the morning super early, and walking dogs and doing home kitty/dog visits, fits perfectly now that my schedule is much more flexible. I don’t have a fenced yard, but I have a dog park across the street and I take the doggies on beautiful walks around the neighborhood
“Sabrina is amazing! My pups loved having her come over and she kept me and my girlfriend updated with pictures and videos. She not only let our dogs out during her drop in visits but she stayed for 30-45 minutes and played with them and gave them lots of attention. I will definitely be using her again and would recommend her to any of my friends here in town!”

“Thank you to Kylie for taking care of my little senior Beau. We felt very comfortable with her and though it was just a one day of drop ins we are so appreciative of her helping us out while we were away. Thank you for keeping me informed of the visits.”

About: I’ve had my dog for 13 years, and she has truly grown with me.She was a rescue, so we had to learn trust together so that she could feel calm and comfortable in her new home. I never minded taking that time. We’ve gone on countless walks together, and one of my favorite memories is watching her experience snow for the first time and seeing how much she loved it. This past year and a half I’ve had the experience of watching her adjust to a new member of the family, a puppy. I’ve watched them learn to play together and build their own bond. All that being said, I’m very comfortable with daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and of course providing lots of attention and care to you beloved pets. As a college student with mornings and afternoons free, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the time, attention, and care they deserve. I’m currently a college student with mornings and afternoons free, which gives me plenty of time to dedicate to your pets. My flexible schedule allows me to provide walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any specific care routines you provide. I make sure pets are supervised, secure on walks, and comfortable in their environment. I’m attentive to behavior changes and will keep you updated.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
