Leana did a great job! This is our second time having Leana care for our 3 dogs. We received updates and photos with every visit. Everything was perfect when we came home and our dogs were calm and not that excited to see us-which I see as a good thing! We will definitely call on Leana again and give her an enthusiastic recommendation.

Katy came to my rescue when my other pet sitter got an injury and had to cancel. She was great and my dogs that normally take awhile to like new people. We love Katy and I knew my fur babies were in good care while I was away.

About: Aloha! I’ve always been a huge animal person and have helped friends with pet sitting while they’re out of town likes walks, feeding, hanging out, cuddles, check-ins, all of it. I don’t have formal training, but I’m reliable, communicative, and genuinely love being around animals. I’m also looking for a way to get outside and be more active, so dog walking feels like such a natural fit for me. I have three cats of my own with their own little outdoor routines, so I really understand how important trust, consistency, and care are when it comes to pets. 🐾 Aloha! I work at Parker School as an early childhood educator, and during the summer I’m helping with the elementary camp, so my schedule works really well for pet care. I’m available for early morning walks and check-ins, evening walks and feedings, and I can often do quick drop-ins during my lunch break depending on location. I’ve helped friends with pet sitting while they’re out of town and genuinely love spending time with animals. I’m reliable, communicative, active, and attentive to routines, and as a pet owner myself with three cats at home, I understand how important consistency and trust are when caring for someone’s pets.

About: I started watching (overnight and taking on walks) dogs at the age of 11. I absolutely adore your furry friends, and can't get enough love from the pups. Since I don't own any puppies of my own (though I do get to watch and walk my grandmother's dog often), I absolutely adore getting to steal other peoples' pups even for just a few hours! I always send pictures to the owners, but you can tell me if you'd prefer less or more! Seeing as I am out of school, and don't work a full time job, am am available for a lot of hours. This being said, I have picked up a couple other gigs lifeguarding and babysitting, so I say I am not available for potty breaks less than every 8 hours just because if there are days I do both lifeguarding and babysitting I wont be able to. That being said, outside of those two gigs, your pups (or cats), are my top priority! Seeing as I am unable to host pets in my home at this time, I would be seeing the pets in your home. I am very comfortable with this, as I often sleep overnight at one of my friends family's house when they are away in order to watch their pups. I am also happy to water plants or anything else to be of help to you.

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve personally cared for dogs, cats, and small animals throughout my life, and my experience extends well beyond pet ownership. I hold a degree in biology with coursework focused on animal behavior, physiology, and research. This background helps me better understand animal body language, behavior, and individual needs. I’ve worked with a wide variety of species, including exotic hoofstock and birds in a zoological setting, as well as pigs, goats, and birds through wildlife rescue and animal care work. In addition, I spent approximately three years working in an animal shelter environment, where I handled and photographed thousands of dogs to help them find loving homes. Through that experience, I learned how to safely interact with dogs of all sizes, ages, temperaments, and energy levels. Whether your pet is outgoing, shy, energetic, a senior, or requires a little extra patience, I strive to provide attentive, reliable care tailored to their individual personality and routine. I’m a small business owner and public school teacher, which gives me a structured but flexible schedule that works well for pet care. I currently have more availability during weekends, school holidays, and breaks (especially during the summer months), when I can offer extended and consistent care for pets and house sitting. During the school year on regular weekdays, I’m typically available in the mornings and evenings, with greater flexibility on weekends. I’m happy to discuss specific dates and needs to see what works best for your pet’s routine. I care deeply about consistency and communication, so pets feel settled, safe, and well cared for, and owners can have peace of mind while they’re away. I provide pet care in my clients’ homes, where I focus on maintaining each pet’s normal routine in the environment where they feel most comfortable. I follow all care instructions closely and make sure feeding, walks, medication, and daily routines are completed on time and as directed. I treat every home with a high level of respect and care, keeping spaces clean, organized, and exactly as I found them. I’m mindful of both the pet’s needs and the owner’s home, and I prioritize reliability, safety, and consistency in every visit or stay. I also believe clear communication is essential, so I provide updates as needed to give owners peace of mind while they’re away.

About: I moved to the Big Island three months ago and caretake 7 acres with my fiancée Kindra. It’s been awhile since I’ve used Rover, but with my new free time and love of animals, I decided to get back on. My experience: since the day I was born I have lived with animals. My mother, being a veterinary technician with 20+ years of experience, always encouraged me to volunteer at the animal shelter by walking and feeding the dogs, cleaning their teeth and dishes, playing outside with them, and providing love and compassion. I love being outdoors and going to the beaches or local parks for walks and running, but also enjoy curling up on the couch and watching a movie with a fur baby to relax after a long day. A quick phone call to my mother allows me to ask any question about your dog or cat’s specific breed in order to better care for them. However, in an emergency situation, I am well equipped with the knowledge and confidence to conduct any first aid. My farm work schedule is very flexible and I have my own vehicle to get around at all hours of the day and night. As much advanced notice as possible is appreciated. Whatever is needed or requested, consider it done. I take the fur babies safety and comfort very seriously, both physically and emotionally. I treat every animal as if they were my own.

I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding routines, feeding, walks, and house rules. I’m respectful in clients’ homes and always make sure dogs are secure, comfortable, and calm.
