“Emma was great with our 2 cats. She even offered to come an extra morning after our automatic food dispenser broke and we wouldn't be home until the afternoon. We docked a star only because when we got home, the back door was unlocked and the cat's water fountains were empty. Will definitely use her again, though!”

About: I had pets for as long as I can remember! I’ve had chickens, cats, and dogs. I’m 28, and down to 1 husky. I love to take him on morning and afternoon walks. He loves watching the neighbors cows and chasing squirrels. I trained him to sit, give me his paw, and kiss. I potty trained him at a young age and he’s full of love. I’ve sat for friend’s pets and taken them to their appointments if any. A stay at home partner. I will be available all day with pet. Might go out and get groceries but won’t be more than an hour. Can take them out as many times as pet needs. I don’t have a fenced yard but always leash my dog when taking them on potty breaks. My neighbors have cows and they surround the house at times and we sit outside and watch them once in a while. I love to walk the dogs 2 times a day for over a mile.
About: I have been a pet owner for about 30 years now...loving & caring for several dogs & cats, etc. I love most all animals & look forward to having an opportunity to care for them. I work Monday thru Friday 8-5 with nights & weekends off. I will be available to care for pets on the weekends & some weekday evenings. I have one cat currently at home. I care for him daily by feeding & watering, changing the litter box regularly, & playing with & loving him constantly.
About: I’ve been a dog lover my whole life and love creating a happy, safe, and fun environment for every pup I meet. I have a fox red lab/golden mix(?), Sonni, who’s the goofiest, good boy I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs, from high-energy pups who need lots of playtime and walks, to laid-back seniors who just want snuggles. I’ve also fostered through Skiatook Paws & Claws, so I’m comfortable with dogs of all personalities, needs, and routines. I keep a clean home, follow your rules, and can even help with training if you’d like. Your dog will be treated like one of my own, and I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member with someone, so I’ll keep you updated every step of the way with photos and messages for peace of mind. I work from home full-time, so I’m here most of the day with my dog. He usually gets at least two walks a day, with plenty of playtime between. On some Fridays and Saturdays, I work a few hours in the evening, but I’m always happy to coordinate around your dog’s needs, just reach out to check my schedule. I always make sure every dog feels safe, loved, and comfortable in my care. I treat them like family and pay close attention to their routines, feeding schedules, and favorite ways to play. I keep a clean, dog-friendly space and make sure they’re never left alone for long. Safety is always my top priority, whether we’re out walking, playing, or relaxing at home.
“I was taking a 4 night; 3 day out-of-state trip and needed to find a trustworthy person to care for my two small dogs, Wagley and Joe, while I was away. I had not used Rover before and chose Elizabeth from the website because she had good reviews and worked in the area and could easily drop by to care for my pets. We initially texted and set up a time a couple of weeks in advance for her to come by my home to meet me and my pets prior to the trip. I had a good first impression of Elizabeth and immediately felt comfortable with her. She had a great personality was very personable. I informed her that I would be away beginning Wed. evening Feb 21st and would be back Sunday evening Feb. 25th then informed her of the schedule I wished for her to keep while I was away which was as follows: Wed. evening Feb. 21st- drop by between 7-8pm to give the dogs their bedtime snack. (I had informed her that there was no need to stay an extended period of time on this evening since I would have been with them the entire day while working from home.) According to the security camera's she did as requested arriving at 7:50pm and departing at 8:22pm. Thursday, Feb. 22 AM-drop by to feed and water the pets (no extended time with them required). According to the security cameras she did as requested arriving at 7:26am and departing at 7:38am. Thursday, Feb 22 PM -drop by around 5-5:30pm to feed and water the pets and stay until 8-8:30 pm to give them their bedtime snack then leave. According to the security camera's she arrived at 5:33pm and departed at 7:24pm. She DIDN'T stay as long as I expected but I was satisfied with the visit. She texted me pictures of the pets which was appreciated! Friday 2/23 AM- drop by to feed and water the pets (no extended time with them required). According to the security cameras she did as requested arriving at 7:15 AM and departing at 7:20AM. She texted me on this morning and provided me information about one of my pets. Friday 2/23 PM- drop by around 5-5:30pm to feed and water the pets and stay until 8-8:30 pm to give them their bedtime snack then leave. According to the security camera's she arrived at 6:28PM and departed at 6:49pm, MEANING THE EVENING VISIT WAS ONLY 21 minutes. She sent me a picture of Wagley which was appreciated but I WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH THE FRIDAY EVENING VISIT. Saturday, 2/24 AM- drop by to feed and water the pets (no extended time with them required). According to the security cameras she arrived at 10:46AM and departed at 10:54AM a bit late in the morning HOWEVER she called and informed me prior to the visit that she had obligations in another city and asked if this would be ok and I agreed. Saturday, 2/24 PM-drop by around 5-5:30pm to feed and water the pets and stay until 8-8:30 pm to give them their bedtime snack then leave. According to the security camera's she arrived at 7:04PM and departed at 8:37PM. She arrived a little later than I would have liked but again, she had informed me that might be the case because of the out-of-town trip she was taking. She brought her daughters with her that evening but also had asked prior if that would be ok and I agreed. Sunday 2/25 AM-drop by to feed and water the pets (no extended time with them required). According to security camera's she did as requested arriving at 9:12 AM and departing at 9:14 AM. Sunday 2/25 PM-NO SERVICES REQUIRED (I returned home.) For the price I paid for the entire service, I would have expected and preferred that the evening visits be longer (especially the Friday night visit which again, was only 20 mins) but overall, I was satisfied with the service Elizabeth provided. I think she is trustworthy, communicative and for the most part, reliable and I would recommend her to pet set for others. Thank-you Elizabeth!”

About: I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs at home and am very passionate about all animals; big and small. I love taking care of pets and my priority is making sure they’re happy, healthy, and having a good time! Whether that means going on walks, playing with toys, or hanging out inside, I’m willing to participate in any activity to make your pet(s) feel comfortable and cared for. I’m a freelance photographer and have a lot of spare time to petsit either a couple of times a day or for days at a time. I am available (typically) everyday and have a very flexible schedule. The majority of my “unavailable” days in my calendar consist of me petsitting for clients outside of Rover :) I am happy and willing to adhere to any rules and routines you have in your home. I’m a quick learner and like to write things down to make sure I have everything in order. I am nothing if not a rule-follower! 🫡

About: Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine. I have years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats, and I understand that every pet has their own unique personality, routine, and needs. I work from home full-time, allowing me to provide attentive care, frequent potty breaks, playtime, companionship, and plenty of supervision throughout the day. My sister also works from home, so there is typically another responsible adult available to provide additional support and supervision when needed. I also share my home with my friendly cat, Michu, who is accustomed to living with both cats and dogs. If your pet is more comfortable having their own space, I’m happy to accommodate that as well. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where every pet feels comfortable, secure, and truly at home while you’re away. I work from home full-time, which allows me to provide a flexible schedule and attentive care throughout the day. My sister also works from home, so there is typically another responsible adult in the home to provide additional supervision and companionship. Because of this, pets receive frequent potty breaks, meals on schedule, playtime, exercise, and plenty of love and attention. If I need to step out for errands, it’s typically for no more than 3–4 hours. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and low-stress environment where every pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I provide a clean, pet-friendly home where every pet is treated like family. I closely supervise all interactions between pets and always prioritize a calm, low-stress environment. I’ll also keep you updated throughout your pet’s stay with messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in caring hands.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
